Inik: Misplaced priorities! These Northerners are more comfortable and feel much more at home with Niger and Chad republic citizens than the rest of Nigeria. Lord Lugard made a daft mistake in 1914 by forcing this unholy union called Nigeria on all of us.

but, that is actually their home.
trace their history you will be amazed at your results......

given. this "but they honestly knew he could not
win. You also knew he could not
win, I knew he could not win, in fact
even Ribadu knew he could not win,
and because they knew he could not
win, they did not even bother to
vote for him.
Ribadu came to see me, because I
was his father’s friend, and he told
me he was going to run for election.
I told him I support his decision
because his coming in, would mean
that all opposition elements are
coming together, because as long as
they are always divided, they would
never achieve their aim. I said if you
all come together, then the people
will know that you are serious, and
they would support you to form the
government. "
.
.I cant imagine that you blessed him to go on with his dream knowing that he cant win and all but him knows this fact.
from this. write up and given your age its obvious that you want to cajole the ibos to ur side , since the yorubas are already on the other side..
.
my question is must a segment of the country own the power to rule.huhhuh
Education › Re: Common Grammatical Tautologies by uhuns: 8:34pm On Nov 23, 2013
Ezeed: Op, nice thread. Dont mind me though, i feel like looking for small trouble this evening, so pls grant me your audience.lol. Okay, regarding your title- 'common grammatical tautologies', the word 'tautology' already has the word 'grammatical' embedded in it. By reason of the aforementioned, your use of both the way you did is tautologous. Lol.
On a serious note though, what you guys think, cos i stand to be corrected, and I feel like engaging in an educative discuss right now.
.
Tautology may refer to:
Tautology (rhetoric) , a self-
reinforcing pretense of significant
truth
Tautology (grammar) , the use of
redundant words
Tautology (logic) , a universal
truth in formal logic
Tautology (rule of inference) , a
rule of replacement for logical
expressions
Tautonym , a species name where
both parts are identical

Properties › Re: Fake Building Parts Responsibile For Building Collapse by uhuns: 1:40am On Nov 22, 2013
jassie: Fake building materials? What are these materials?

To the best of my knowledge, only 4 materials are structurally essential to any building and those are:
1. Cement- Produced in Nigeria; Dangote, Elephant etc.
2. Granite: Natural resource. Always available in Nigeria.
3. Sand: Another natural resource, always available in fine quality.
4. Iron (Steel) rods: Produced in Nigeria as well. . .

So make them park well before talking about fake products. They can tell that to those who haven't built houses.

The simple truth is that the so called 'developers' are the ones responsible for poorly built houses. They economize what and when they shouldn't.
my brother i work in a lab.
here is my take.
1.cement.all cement that i have tested no one gets above 70%.
2. sand . not all sand meet the requirement in their raw state . and the worst is sand with salt.
3.granite vary in strength. i have tested from yoruba to cross river along that belt and the best is the western type. though for sensitive projects.
4.no steel ever tested passed.even with batch test cert.
5.no matter howmuch you mix with hand you cant get upto 80%,of a mixer.
.
.
am not hlding brief for anybody, just the facts .
example,
the blocks, per enginering standerds says 2.65n/mm as min for say a house.from pratical sampling, best obtained on cash and carry basses is 1.65
this was done in a big town, among the first big five towns in nija.
all am trying to say is that all parties carry equal blame, with the highest been that of the engineers since they makes these specifications.

this reminds me of a story a while ago, this couple went to a popular place to give to beggars. frm that day on the wife Would see this cripple they gave money to having it ....... with her at night.
they decided to pay a visit to the beggar, to appease him.the cripple admitted wholly and proposed away forward by the woman staying flat on the ground and he just putting his leg on her.this was done in the full glare of all and behold. the crippled man vanished....... into thin air and the woman died after 4days.given that the story is TRUE cause we've heard stories of this natural ....but.

babyface333: You mean Mrs chime deserves to be a recipient for nigerian woman award? Is this how heros are made in nigeria?
We have real intelligent and hardworking women in nigeria. We have real women who in the face of adversity never gave up to temptations. We have real women who have always stood their ground to be the best. We have women who are embodiment of morality in all ramifications. We have real women everywere.
This real women are not recognised and encouraged. This are the women that deserve every award a woman needs. Why not advocate for awards for this women, atleast to encourage the others. You are here telling us that mrs clara chime deserves nigeria woman award.

A woman who nobody can figure out till date her intentions of getting married to a man that is a well known womanizer. A woman who met this her same husband, in one of his sexcapedes adventures. A woman who have contributed nothing to the society other than Gold-diigging. So this same woman who her unholy relationship(gold-digging marriage) have crashed like a pack of cards, just because, she shouted for help deserves nigerian woman award of the year.

We really have a long way to go in this country. A country were hardworking women are scorned, and Runs gals gone awry are rewarded.

Eze of COZA church fame would soon be given a national award for telling the truth. !!!!!!

Leave our country for us.
what we planted is our harvest! !!!!""

Jarus: I can't isolate those, but I know I have spent 10m plus, (cost of land inclusive).

The BQ isn't completed. I only rushed teh main building to be able to do sallah there.

But let me try:

Land - 200k for 2.5 plots bought in 2009(now going for 350k per plot today )
Foundation - 1m (the architect said it's German floor, and very high)
BQ (2 twin self-contains, with big sitting room) - now up to lintel level, but uncompleted - 2m
Main building (blocks, plastering, labour etc) - 2m
Roofing of main building - 1m (350k for woodwork, 620k for aluminium)
Fencing (plus shop and gatehouse) - not yet plastered - 700k
Sanitary materials (WC, cubicle, kitchen, toilet stuff etc) - bought in Lagos 250k, transported via train to Kwara 15k
Plumbering - 100k
Tiles - 500k
POP - 250k
Electrical works and materials, wiring materials plus work etc - about 450k
Gate - 100k
Painting - 200k
Plus other costs I can't remember (I didn't keep records).

I didn't keep records, but I know I have sent more than 10m to the supervisor since inception.
Gud records.
from your estimated records. I will put the cost of the main house only at 9m.
given the picture you have shown using my trained police eyes I can say that the floor area is coral 100m2.
then the cost of your house is about 90k per square meter.
this is commendebly assuming that all things are equal

a big koudos to your efforts, may the pride and joy you have given your mother be given you by your kids.

and that boy that want to change his x5 to x6, may your eyes regain sight to see what the lord can do,as to be a living testimony to gods goodness.
