Angelahoney: What are you trying to feel like? Like a good girl abi? You don't know men. I know how to handle them. If you like be acting like one virtuous girl as for me I handle my husband with iron hand and he loves me the more.
*just to play along*
I'm nothing like what the OP described but that doesn't mean i can't be understanding and yet firm with my man.
A man can only give a woman so much liberty and that doesn't extend to wounded pride or crushed ego. Correcting a mistake doesn't mean you are trying to shape her into your personal robot or puppet. Every relationship needs open mindedness and willingness to make it work despite our individual differences. What it doesn't need is people who keep saying 'accept me the way i am' even if the way you are sucks.

Romance › Re: How Old Is Old Enough For Marriage? by UjSizzle(f): 4:40pm On Oct 08, 2012
What you're old enough for may not be what's good for you at the moment. You need maturity on both sides in marriage both intellectually and otherwise. You need time to experience the world so u no go dey chook eye for outside. I'll say 25 since that's the highest u've got. That should give you ample time to think through what u're about to get into.

Anger and inaability to take correction aint very good traits in a woman...actually in anybody at all. You really need to talk to her about it and if she insists she incapable of changing then the best thing you can do for urself is leave her and make sure she knows that's why she's losing you. By the time it happens to her like twice she'll rearraange herself.

plappville: You can enjoy it no one is against you for ur choice. It is wrong to force others to a non biblical doctrine.

So before the 3rd Century, Christian had not the reason to be called "sons of God" because they didn't celebrate this feast?
if u had any comprehension at all you'll know i was referring to Christ's birth.
Christianity Etc › Re: Either You Unite With The Church Doctrine Or You Are Against The Bible...... by UjSizzle(f): 4:01pm On Oct 08, 2012
You are concerned with it's origin when you should be more concerned about WHY it was set in that date and be grateful it was. The church was trying to rid the world of paganism(as we're told) and replacing the celebration withsomething more beautiful and important. Why are we fighting over this when it has succeeded in bring more nearer to God? Why have we decided to dwell in the past? It is of no importance what those days were, but what they are NOW. If you choose not to celebrate it, it's not a sin or crime and no man has a right to condemn you just as u have no right to condemn those who wish to celebrate and hold these days holy. It's the state of the heart that matters most and the fact that it is done to glorify God.

I'm not particularly interested in the origin of our christmas all I know is I am happier at this time of the year than I ever am. It's a celebration of Christ's birth, the begining of our redemption from sin. The show of God's love for us. The reason we can stand today and call ourselves sons of God. So I will keep celebrating my christmas. But then let us also remember the words in Romans 14:1-12. I can't post the content so if anyone can copy paste that will be good

Christianity Etc › The Role Of Women In The Church by UjSizzle(op): 2:37pm On Oct 08, 2012
This is more of an opinion seeking post.

1COR 14:34-35
'The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.'

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't this also include preaching? If yes, then why are there so many female pastors today? Or am I just misinterpreting all this?
What do you suppose should be the woman's role in the church?
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Speaking In Tongue Learnt Or Received? by UjSizzle(f): 2:20pm On Oct 08, 2012
Basically I am asking you to study the book of 1COR 12,13,14. Pray for understanding from God and don't just skip through it but read and meditate on these words.
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Speaking In Tongue Learnt Or Received? by UjSizzle(f): 2:13pm On Oct 08, 2012
The ability to speak in tongues is a gift of the holy spirit.. See ACTS 2:4. There are two kinds of tongues: the tongues of men(various languages) like u saw among the apostles and tongues of angels..see 1COR 13:1 also see 1COR 14:2. This is not something that can be learnt by man of his own volition but a gift of the spirit for building up our faith because we know not what we are saying but believe we speak in accordance to the utterance of the spirit of God witnessing to our Spirit. Any man that makes you think otherwise is deceiving you. To receive this gift u need to repent and believe without a trace of doubt in you. It is important to also note that there are those with the gift of interpretation of tongues.

This is the best thing I've heard a muslim say. Blaming all muslims for boko haram is akin to saying since some priests and past popes have been known to be paedophiles and homosexuals then that's what all christians are.

Guys get intimidated by girl cliques. Ladies are more confident of themselves arnd other assertive females too.cliques keep some unserious guys away but the easiest way tto get ur girl is to make the group happy. Either that or u've gotten to ur girl well enough for her to over rule clique decision or. Maybe she just has a mind of her own.

U no even say foam na mat. Plz the state of my ribs, lungs,n heart is still important. I can't wake up having cramps all over my body.

This word love that we keep throwing about sef. If i love a guy n he isn't comfortable and doesn't even have the potential of being like that then i'm forgetting that love. I'm more cocerned about comfort, security, which wld totally determine my happiness and not love. It's the an's job to love me n mine to respect him.

Touch not my annointed and do my prophet no harm.

Just incase u think touching is just physical contact it also includes bad mouthing.
If they've lost their way n gone astray its still not ur job to insult them n spread rumours. Remember David n Saul? Also remember what hapnd to the man that claimed to kill Saul? Even when David had the chance to kill Saul did he? Plz lets learn to follow examples.

When pple make arguments using Jesus u make me laff. Tell me did his disciples ever lack anything? If God calls u for a purpose he will provide the menas for you. When a person opens a schl n provides good teachers how do u expect them to pay those teachers n provide the necessary facilities needed for ur learning? No be school fees? Lets not be near sighted n naive abeg. And u calling pple fools u are entitled to ur opinion as we all are no need for name calling abeg.

Tenderly that's because it's easier for them to forget their God and focus on their wealth. It's like you dnt have plans of being rich abi? Don't go and pray poverty on urself oo. Lets go back to the Bible..Abraham, Joseph, Jacob nko? Wat about Job and David? Weren2 they all rich men n didnt God call one his Friend n d other a man after his heart? If u're quoting the scriptures dnt ever forget to study the story that came before that statement was made..if i remember correctly Jesus was talkin to a rich man that was forming righteous so Jesus put him in his place telling him to leave his comfort zone n follow him. Lets nry not to misinterprete the scriptures plzz o.

That every land u step ur feet on will be ur inheritance? Plz dnt say what u dnt know. God blesses those who worship him in holiness..abi u dnt knw pple bring monetary gifts for them? You shld bee more concerned about their beginings before they got where they are now instead of making assumptions.
