Lazyyouth4u: Yes they can. But they will make big time losses on this bond as it will be sold at a discount when rates go up. It depends on many factors....the bonds maybe selling at premium price then...the economic variables in this Emefiele time.....na case studies even in Harvard Business School self... Investors that bought long term FGN Bonds are in good profits now despite getting good coupon yields at discount prices |

Lazyyouth4u: True. It’s actually not too bad and BUA is a strong corporate. But if you lock that money and Emefiele change mind and go hike rates next year. It will be bad o
On a serious note, it’s not too bad. For people with 10m they won’t need for 7 years. That rules out most retail investors. The bond will be listed in NSE for trading. Investors may sell the bonds in the floor of the NSE and recoup their funds to better yield investments then.... |

Lazyyouth4u: I think this has to do with Edo State’s credit rating of BBB- by Agusto. To raise funds from the domestic PFAs, bonds must have a minimum rating of BBB. Since Edo state doesn’t, the SPV will issue the bond and then on-lend to Edo State, who will in turn issue an irrevocable guarantee backed by the ISPO to the SPV for this loan.
No matter what happens to Edo state, the FGN will be deducting the amount due to SPV’s bond investors from Edo State’s allocation and paying into the sinking fund held by the SPV’s trustees. The PFAs can invest in the SPV as it is rated BBB by Agusto. Fantastic |

While looking at the Half year statements of accessbank I looked at brother Wigwe's number of direct and indirect holdings Then multiplied it later on sha with the NO.25 declared as interim dividend I almost saw double lol....
But one cannot hate on them, they have paid their dues... Its left for us coming up to pay ours Exactly Consistency is what is required Check Dangote Cement Plc....his dividend in June 2020 was huge...these guys are making good money in our economy |

Lazyyouth4u: Ah okay. I wasn’t sure if it was possible for them to do it from outside Naija... Very possible.... You just need -your share certificates number -confirm with the registrar the adress you used in buying the share -specimen signature -documentation with your stockbroker where the share certificate will be dematerilized which include your cscs number, CHN Within 2 weeks, the number of units and bonuses will be credited into your stockbroking account and you can start trading it if you want to eventure sell the shares self. All the dividends will be paid into your e-dividend mandate account and continously whenever the company declares dividend |

Always good to get professional advise who can help one with Wealth management, Estate Planning, Wills and Trust Services etc this will eliminate challenges people have with their assets and Investments when they die and will allow smooth transfer to their beneficiaries A colleague got his late father's Letter of Administration within 6months...... |

Lazyyouth4u: Many travelled with their paper share certificates. And they must dematerialize their paper shares before they can start receiving their dividends online. I don’t think you can dematerialize your shares online.
Have you ever tried to obtain a Letter of Administration? There is no way that can be done online sir. It is not an easy process especially if there is a lot of assets and family members involved. It’s not the kind of thing that is done online. Anyone that claims he’s an online probate services provider that processes Letters of Administration is most likely a yahoo boy waiting to defraud innocent people that have lost their loved ones. I did my Zenith bank Shares Certificate Dematerilization online with Veritas Registrar....quite easy with your stockbroke....this was about 2010.....all processes were done within 3weeks and my dividends of 10years paid in one day. It's just being guided by the registrar and the stockbroker..... |

Lazyyouth4u: Sir, a huge chunk of the unclaimed dividends also belong to those people who have left the country and haven’t had time to come back home to sort the issues. Those that come back end up leaving because they have very little time and couldn’t be bothered to be running around for unclaimed shares and dividends and the wahala of dealing with registrars and stockbrokers.
Then we have those of dead people that died without a will that their children are aware of the shares but couldn’t be bothered to go through the big time wahala involved in getting a Letter of Administration to claim the dividends. A lot of people just give up. Very true |

DexterousOne: That's because there is a clear distinction between EARNED and UNEARNED income
UNEARNES INCOME dey sweet to collect I remember when I recieved my first dividend years ago It felt very good lol
Talk less of just passively investing 10% of that N500m on selected stocks and maybe other instrument In 6 years the passive income/cash flow will be something to cheer you up
No matter how much you make Please please and please NEVER DOWNPLAY COMPOUND INTEREST and UNEARNED INCOME Very Apt |
