Thanks bro for clearing the air. These folks on nairaland don't know the US embassy don't give a shiit if you are a celebrity,politician, billionaire etc., they bounce at their discretion/wish. Infact the embassy might even be waiting for president Buhari and current governors to become EX to bounce them. They are mean like that. It's like the embassy VOs brag amongst themselves after close of work about the most high profile people they bounce weekly.

Thanks for your observation but the truth is that there is no guarantee that it would be granted if she had applied with me. Whilst I was on the queue, a young couple who have both had extensive travel history spanning US, UK, France, Holland and just got back from Canada were refused by the same VO. What excuse can we make for that considering that it was also a renewal interview like mine?

So, I feel the VOs just grant at their own discretion and no matter how hard you try, they may or may not grant it.

There is a likelihood that people as well travelled as this folks you just mentioned above must have put to bed in the US. And the embassy is just clamping down on those that had low medical bills. They might not be that innocent afterall.
Although i belief there is also an element of luck involved in getting the US visa. Why do you think Davido's wife Chioma put to bed in the UK while his other baby mamas delivered in the US?I am suspecting the US embassy bounced her. US embassy is not a respecter of anyone. U.S also bounced one of James Ibori's pregnant wives at one of the POEs in the US.It was in the news.

Honestly, the issue might not be from you as the visa applicant. Your nationality as a Nigerian and the state of the country can have an effect in the process.
The U.S is basically trying to limit the issuance of tourist visa to Nigerian citizens and there is nothing anybody can do about it.
Nobody can actually reveal the true reason why you were refused here.
I noticed you mentioned you were going for sightseeing and visiting some places of attraction in New Jersey.
There are no special places of attraction in New Jersey as a matter of fact New Jersey is one of ugliest part of America.

Another Red flag in my opinion.Why should a family man travel for tourism alone?The V.O might doubt his true marital status(V.Os don't care about our marriage certificates because some Nigerians are fraudulent that's why V.Os seldomly opt to see certificates) . Imagine he just got married which is suppose to be the most exciting time of marriage and he ain't going with madam. When i applied the very first time for tourism. I went with my family (wifey and baby girl) and we got it. Infact even when i renewed it was together as a family and we got it again.

When i and my wife went on vacation 2 years ago in New york city. We planned on spending 6 days in New york ,2 days at Niagara falls (Canada) and the remaining 5 days again in New york. So we(i and wifey) decided to ask our NYC hotel receptionist and some of our tour guides about Canada . And the receptionist and tour guides kept saying canadians are more friendly,social,kind,polite etc than Americans. Then i thought to myself that Americans aren't bad either but for Americans to say this nice things about canadians i think canadians must be close to angels. On getting to canada we didn't mix much with the locals because we spent only 2 days but i can say the few we met were exceptional human beings. LOVE CANADA,CANADIANS and NIAGARA FALLS.

Thank God oh!! At least we can now split the country into two halves. North and South. Both have oil now

Why do you wanna sleep at the embassy ? Is that your home? Lodge in a hotel in Victoria Island. So you have money to pay for visa and holiday expenses but DEAD BROKE when it comes to lodging in a hotel for one night before your interview? My fellow Nigerians , you guys never cease to amaze me.

Information reaching me from a reliable source confirmed that the recruitment will be cancelled due some political issues. One of the reason they stated is that the previous GMD isnt suppose to conduct a recruitment exercise in his terminal year.

They shouldn't be telling the public this. It is strictly an internal issue. NO CONFIDENTIALITY FOR THAT COMPANY
