Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Have A First Degree, MSC, Experience But No Job by unibenakpos(m): 9:22am On Jun 05, 2020
I tell people going to school is not enough
I see you want to build a career with what you studied. its not always so, Agric is very difficult to start because even the conditions of the loan are not favourable. Now instead of masters, you should have learnt a skill different from Agriculture that you can offer, you can still do that.

I'm studying Agricultural Economics,
I did Agricultural engineering in my ND and I noticed it's too narrow, I had to change when going for a bachelor's degree.
other skills, driving, building (houses)
I still want to learn forklift driving

now you just have to versatile
Nigeria no easy
once you find yourself not studying a professional course you have to open your eyes.
you can also learn graphics design any skill at all.
I wish you success

i forced my uncle who is the pta chairman to request to know the salary of the teachers. The student pay as high as 35k for the senior school, my uncle said the madam was shocked as most pta dont concern them self with the salary of the teachers. Before the meeting, if you teach one subject the pay was 25k, maths, physics and chemistry recieves 30k. so they delibrated and pegged the salary at 35k for a subject. My uncle be like saviour, anywhere they see him you will hear, daddy goodmorning sir

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Finally Got A Job Through A Nairalander After Months Of Job Hunting. by unibenakpos(m): 4:33pm On Apr 08, 2020
Ghostty:
Hello guys
Good morning to you all.

Remember this thread I created sometime last year?

https://www.nairaland.com/5448693/accept-job-offer-continue-job

Well as God would have it, a Nairalander whose moniker is very popular on here(Wouldn't mention for obvious reasons) reached out to me and asked me to send my CV to his email address for review.

At first, I was reluctant and didn't want to send the CV considering he's always not serious with his posts and also a troll here or so I thought. But on a second thought I decided to give it a try. Few days later, he sent an email requesting that I meet him at a particular address the following day on the Island here in Lagos.

The following day I got to the address, it was actually an office complex with the company occupying about 6 floors in the entire building. I met with the Nairalander, we discussed at length and in the end he asked me when I would love to resume.

I later got to know he is the General Manager, Group Learning and Human Resources for the Company(A Privately owned Oil Firm) after resumption.

Fams, today I'm gainfully employed with a pay four times bigger than what the Chinese company had earlier offered me in my previous thread.

I want to use this medium to thank Seun Osewa and most especially God for sending an helper my way when I thought all hopes was lost. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

PS: Some Nairalanders are super rich and connected guys, believe me. Learn to respect people's opinion on here as you may not know who you're dealing with. For those who are still searching for jobs, please do not stop believing as your breakthrough is closer than you know. Thank you.

Seun, Lalasticlala, uboma

Modified:

I know you would most likely see this Sir. May God continually bless you, guide and protect you. I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart, God bless you. Amen!

May good things never seize in our lifes.

Just when my association with the so called highrise big boys was coming to an end , Yemo came into my rescue.
Yemo as i fondly called him, a coursemate of jc and a friend during the animal kingdom days, was a police officer posted to the school bank permanently by his superior. He was a nice person who never sees me go hungry.

So with Yemo by me and another friend in warri by name jb i was able to round up my university education because by then my job in warri had stopped due to folding up of the construction coy.

I wouldn't forget to mention that i had to take on an extra semester in order to escape graduating with a third class as my gpa at my final year was around 2.34.

YEMO is one of the most senior police officer today in Nigeria. When he graduated he took same example from me and sponsored himself for ASP course . The only regret i have today was that i had nothing doing as at the time of his police training and couldn't do much to return his help but i do call and appreciate his help till date.

My appreciation also goes to jb my friend in warri.

Finally, my appreciation goes to NAIRALAND and Mr SEUN OSEWA for giving me the opportunity to be where i am today through adverts on sales of car free of charge.

people will attack me for this comment.
Did you give out when a trend was opened to give out what one can afford to path with this corona period. if yes, so sorry about this, dont always conclude that its the bank staff, it can be a friend or family member. do well to protect your bank details like one who is protecting his life.
if no, do well to learn how to give out even if its small.

if you didn't see the trend thats no issue.

now my advice, if you have a lawyer friend or family, police contact them. you will be needing their help. visit the branch you opened the account or the nearest branch, they are likely not to take you serious. if they do so call them out on twitter, tell us to retweet.

start from somewhere

I've been trying to make up my mind on the number of children to give birth to, as plenty pikin no mean plenty riches. so this question came to my mind. How has the number of siblings you have affected you? positively or negatively.

i would also want to hear from those that dont have siblings.

pls lets start by starting the number of children before we move on.
