Stop being economical with the truth please. That list must have been made at about 1988. Earlier than then in about 1980, the prices would have been cheaper. For your information, as of 1983, a 12.5 kg of gas was at 2.50 kobo.

The minimum wage as of those periods when that list was made revolved between 125 naira and 300 naira, depending on the year referred in that decade. There are payslips to show.

Even at that, life was much better. There was dignity. There was honor. There was integrity. There was peace and satisfaction.

Apt, we need to stop pretending as all is well and face reality. What can 30k afford in this present economy? Can't even feed a family of 5 for a week. Personally, I spent over 30k on fuel weekly. Things are tougher now but we should continue to pray for better Nigeria 👌✌️

FYI, those items will last for the whole month coz I could recollect in the late 80s, we restock house once, and it last till next month. The honest truth is that the present minimum wage can't even last a family of 5 for 4days as against 30days in the 80s and 90s.

This is actually one of the apc led government propaganda. $10 is minimum you will paid per hour job im the USA, that's 18,000 naira equivalent. Things to consider, which country/province/city will help you get to where you are going faster?
Take for example, many people continue to migrate to Ontario as a student because their friends said it is a beautiful province without a clear plan on how they can get their permanent residency.

Some people will not try Manitoba because they heard it is cold, yet they don’t have access to enough fund to live in much more expensive places.

Some people are targeting Canada without knowing the cities where their current skills are in demand neither do they know what is required to up-skill or transition to a new career.

There are others that believe survival jobs are not for them because they have earned some degrees, what they forget is that you are just starting in a new country and sacrifices must be made.

I used Canada as an example but this could also be relocating within Nigeria or to any other country.
Adequate planning, good research and determination is essential for your success in 2024.

You can make it no matter where you are at the current stage. I have heard of many stories of people who had no money and yet their attitude, determination aided their success and today they are also giving back.

This is me telling you that you should forget about the world economy, and people’s story; focus on your life goal and pursue it as if your life depends on it. Share the good news when they start coming.
