Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes has warned clubs in the Premier League and in Europe that the Red Devils are now ready to go all out over the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Evicted Big Brother Naija housemate, Boma, has apologized to Nigerians for his actions in the house.

The ex-housemate apologized via a tweet on his official Twitter handle.

Recall that Tega and Boma have been under ‘fire’ for allegedly being in an amorous relationship.

They were caught kissing and sharing beds, an act that stirred diverse reactions from Nigerians.

Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has revealed that Edinson Cavani has given the number 7 shirt to Cristiano Ronaldo.

An anti-tobacco group, ‘The Nigeria Tobacco Control Alliance, NTCA and the Corporate Accountability and Public Participation Africa (CAPPA) have jointly written to the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to sanction the Big Brother Naija show.

The BBNaija show which has entered season 6 show ‘Shine Ya Eyes’, was accused of flouting the government’s directive on smoking.

In a letter seen by DAILY POST, the anti-tobacco organisation reminded the NBC of its directive to the organisers of BBNaija show.

It said provisions of the National Tobacco Control Act 2015 and the National Tobacco Control Regulations 2019, which banned advertisement and promotion of tobacco has been breached.

Citing the specific section of the offences, the group asserted: “Section 12(1) of the NTC Act 2015.”

The letter which was jointly signed by heads of both organisations, CAPPA’s Executive Director, Akinbode Oluwafemi, and NTCA Programme Manager, Chibuike Nwokorie, wants the Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission, Balarabe Shehu Ilelah to take prompt action.

They complained that the programme was an enticing one and kids below age 18 are drawn to it, adding that the housemates were seen smoking cigarettes on August 2, 5, 10, 11 and 13.

THE Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum, Governor Aminu Tambuwal, has said Nigeria needs a leader with a broad world view and not a provincial politician.

Ex-convict nabbed in security outfits with 5 stolen motorcycles after returning from prison

An ex-convict once arrested and convicted for impersonation and motorcycle theft has gone back to his old ways after returning from prison.

The ex-convict this time around was caught adorning the Nigeria Correctional Services uniform unlike the previous time where he was caught in police uniform.

The Katsina Police Public Relations Officer, SP Isah Gambo paraded the ex-convict alongside other suspected criminals before newsmen on Friday at the state police headquarters.

The ex-convict, Shamsu Sani, 32, of Yammawa Quarters, Katsina, is alleged to be a notorious criminal who specializes in house breaking and theft of motorcycles. [color=#d7e0c9]Daily Prayers[/color]

Luck ran out of the impostor, while he was busy posing as an officer of the Nigeria Correctional Services, cruising on a suspected stolen Day-Long motorcycle, adorning their uniform.

“The Command has succeeded in arresting one Shamsu Sani 32, of Yammawa Quarters, Katsina, an ex-convict, a notorious thief, who specializes in house breaking and theft of motorcycles. Nemesis caught up with the suspect when he was arrested wearing Nigerian Correctional Service Uniform and impersonating the agency, with a suspected stolen motorcycle, Day-Long, Red in colour, with Reg. “In the course of investigation, two suspected receivers were also arrested and five (5) motorcycles reasonably suspected to be stolen were recovered in their possession. Investigation is ongoing,” SP Gambo revealed.

In a related development, based on a tip off, the Katsina Police Command busted a syndicate of motorcycle bandits and recovered five stolen motorcycles.

The suspects whom were also paraded at the police headquarters by the spokesman of the Katsina Police Command includes: Abdulmalik Haruna of Sabon Titi Kwado; Habibu Kabir, of Sabuwar Unguwa, Lawal Magaji aka ‘KC’ of Filin Polo and Hassan Usman of Layin Kamfala, Fagge LGA, Kano, along Jibia road.

Two motorcycles (Cargo and Boxer) suspected to have been stolen were in their possession as at the time they were busted.

In the course of investigation, the suspects confessed to have stolen the motorcycles from Alaba Quarters in Katsina.

Shehu Sani reminds Nigerian govt that 200 kidnapped Tegina students are still in captivity

Former Senator, Shehu Sani on Friday, while wishing Nigerian leaders a happy weekend, reminded them that, the 200 students kidnapped from a school in Tegina, Niger State are still with their captors for over two months now.

Recall that in May, 2021, dozens of children were kidnapped from a Muslim Koranic school in Tegina, Niger State, [color=#d7e0c9]Evening Prayers[/color]

Parents of the kidnapped students raised N11 million Naira as payment for ransom, but the bandits increased the ransom to N22million Naira. The parents who could no longer afford the ransom have since rested their hope in the hands of God.

But former Senator, Shehu Sani, has now reminded the Nigerian leaders of the agony some parents are going through as their sons and daughters remain in the kidnappers’ den.

He wrote on his verified Facebook wall: “Dear Nigerian leaders and Nigerian people; have a blessed weekend,
