SonOfWords:
PDP as a political party has lost its steam.

No sensible politician is going to want to risk his or her chances come 2027 by contesting on a platform with two factions, a perpetually drunk anti-party spoiler and a plethora of court litigations.
So what will happen to Senator Natasha and others that Wike's Boys are selling forms to?
PoliticsRe: Oyo 2027: Governor Makinde Signs Formal Alliance Between PDP & APM by Upritman(m): 3:20pm On May 14

I think Ihedioha has nothing to lose.
The Imo State Governorship Election isn't taking place in 2027.
So by the time the election takes place, everything must have been settled and clear.
I'm sure, if the odds are against the ADC and or if Obi wins in 2027, Ihedioha will naturally defect to the NDC.

We would hear from the former SSG soon anyway.

What are the roles of these "senior special assistant, special adviser" - waste of taxpayer's money.

Can they ever advise the Governor on any matter?
They can but the Governors don't take any of such pieces of advice.
So these Guys just remain there without giving any advice and just collect their salaries and allowances.

Address of Governor Siminalayi Fubara At A Meeting with Simplified Stakeholders on Saturday, June 28, 2025

Protocols

I had a meeting with you on the 29th of May, 2025, here, and in that meeting, I did inform you that we are in a peace process. I know — and not just being in the process — I said it's ongoing.

I called for this meeting to address you formally, for you to have the first-hand information. It's not the one you are reading in the paper, it's not the one you are seeing on social media or wherever — you are now hearing from me.

We have fought. I think, in my own assessment and in the assessment of anyone here who is genuine in this struggle, you will know that we have done what we need to do. At this point, if you want to be truthful to yourself, the only solution is peace. I did say that there's no price that is too big for peace — I meant it, and I'm still ready to follow it to the end.

Nobody can take away the role the FCT Minister, Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, played — that's the truth. Yes, we might have our differences, but nobody here will say he doesn't know the role he played. Nobody can wish away the risk he took. Yes, at a point we had our differences and if today there's need for us to settle, please, anyone who genuinely believes in me should understand that it's the right thing to do.

So, my dear fathers, brothers and sisters, no matter the level of peace that a mediator will arrange, the true peace is the one where both of you are sitting down together to say, “Yes, this is what we want.”

At this point, I've met him and we have spoken. You can't take away the fact that he’s hurt — he's a human being. I also have my own share of pains too.

If we believe that we are in one family and our interest is to support the President, then what is the issue? If you say you are with us and you believe in me, this is the time for us to show it.

Because it's not even about me as a person — it's about the overall interest of the state. In the midst of this crisis between me and the FCT Minister, look at the projects we've initiated. Many have been abandoned. We know the progress we would have recorded and the areas that would have been developed. So, there's need for this peace — that's the truth.

I can't abandon you people — that's one thing I need to say here. This is the time for me to prove to you that I care for you, and I make my commitment here that whichever way it goes, I will not abandon anybody. [b]But the sacrifice that we are going to make for us to achieve this total peace is going to be heavy, and I want everybody to prepare for it.

Without a total reconciliation — which, by the grace of God, the both of us have gotten to — there's no way we can make progress in this state. There's no way the President can come in to save the situation. So, I want to appeal to everyone — I have accepted that we must accept this peace, no matter how it looks, no matter how you feel, we must accept it.

In my place, there's a fish they call Atabala — you call it Tilapia. The native Tilapia doesn't grow big. The mother Tilapia used to tell the kids that if you want to grow up to my own size, hide your head inside the mud. Every one of us should understand that at this time, we've done our best, and what we need now is this peace so that we can grow. I know it's difficult and heavy, but that's the true situation.

~H.E Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS.

PoliticsThose Behind Coalition Are Political IDP, Don't Pay Attention To Them - Tinubu by Upritman(op): 9:14pm On Jun 25, 2025

Those Behind The Coalition Are Political IDPs, Don't Pay Attention To Them - Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday described opposition leaders spearheading a coalition against him ahead of the 2027 presidential election as internally displaced politicians fighting for relevance.

Former Vice President Atiku and ex-Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, in March, rallied other opposition figures to forge a united front against President Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next national election.

El-Rufai dumped the APC and pitched his tent with the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in March.

Other opposition elements involved in the coalition arrangement are the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, the former Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, the ex-Senate President, David Mark, and the former Director-General of the Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), Salihu Lukman, among others.

The group applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the registration of a new political party – the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) – last week.

Tinubu, who spoke at a one-day visit to Nasarawa State, urged his supporters not to pay attention to the opposition figures as they were in a coalition to unseat themselves.

He said: “Just don’t pay them any attention. They are the political IDPs. Don’t give them a home. The hope is here.”

The President, who commissioned projects initiated by the state government, commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for bringing development to the state.

PoliticsJune 12: Dickson Knocks Tinubu For Trampling On Democracy In Rivers State by Upritman(op): 7:27pm On Jun 12, 2025
Dickson Knocks Tinubu For Trampling On Democracy In Rivers With His Big Presidential Feet

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSHtMkrz5EE?si=1-DwHR-GowlMp3kx

Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Seriake Dickson, on Thursday slammed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for failing to restore democratically elected government in Rivers State.

Recall that President Tinubu had, on 18th March 2025, announced the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy, Mrs Ngozi Odu, and all elected members of the House of Assembly of Rivers State for an initial period of six months.

The President also announced the appointment of retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas as the state’s administrator to oversee the affairs of the oil-producing state.

Speaking during a media chat after President Tinubu addressed the joint session of the National Assembly to commemorate Democracy Day and 26 years of uninterrupted democracy in Nigeria, the former Bayelsa State Governor expressed dismay that the President, in his nationwide address, failed to reinstate Governor Fubara and his deputy, as well as members of the State House of Assembly.

He said: “Let me start by saying Happy Democracy Day to all Nigerians — even though one might ask: are we truly happy?

“Democracy is supposed to inspire hope, but what we saw today in the Senate was a direct assault on that hope.”

Senator Dickson, who was visibly angry about the imposition of emergency rule in the oil-producing state, which is controlled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), described President Tinubu’s decision on Rivers State as a forceful takeover.

“And today, it was very annoying that the Senate President chose today, Democracy Day of all days, to read the President’s own democratic communication to the National Assembly, making appointments into democratic institutions in Rivers State, when today we expected that he should announce the restoration of democracy.

“The President has said he is not working for a one-party state — well and good — but all the body language and all the strategies of the President and his party are indicative of the fact that they want a Nigeria of sycophants.

“They want a Nigeria of people who say yes to everything. And the National Assembly cannot be that.

“The National Assembly, the President of the Senate, and the President of the Federal Republic need to know that once you’ve caged the National Assembly, you have caged democracy.

“And you cannot come and then make beautiful speeches on the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly claiming that you are democratic, claiming that you are not working towards a one-party rule.

“The best way to show that the President is committed to democracy is to respect the rights of everybody — to free speech and free participation — and most importantly, most poignantly, restore as quickly as possible democratic rule in Rivers State that was unjustifiably taken away,” Senator Dickson lamented.
