Politics / Checkout Key Things Said By IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu In His Yesterday's Address by Upritman(m): 8:19am On Oct 28, 2018
Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu 6pm on Saturday addressed "Biafrans" for the second time in recent times. Kanu, who is believed to be in Israel made the address in a live Facebook broadcast aired by the Radio Biafra.

Key things he said in the broadcast are as follows:

1. That Igbos should boycott the 2019 general elections.

2. He revealed the demands he made to President Buhari when he returned from prison to include the opening of Igwuocha (Port Harcourt) seaport, Warri seaport, Calabar airport, the dredging of the River Niger and 100 per cent resource control.

3. Kanu again called for the restructuring of the country.

4. He accused Igbo politicians and Ohaneze of conniving with Federal Government to proscribe IPOB and kill him.

5. He attacked the Buhari administration for the sad state of insecurity in the country and outright disrespect for the rule of law citing cases of Leah Sharibu, Dasuki, El-Zakzakky among others.

I quote him below:

“You own the power, you take it back, you can boycott the election and decide what you want. Stand your ground, cripple the 2019 election and see the effects in your life.”

“All we have asked for is our freedom, but Igbo men, who claim they are politicians brought deaths to us. We have said it time and time again, we want our freedom. Perhaps, some of you are comfortable being slaves, we are not.

“Why do they want me dead? Biafrians should ask them.

“When I came out of prison, I ensured that the activities of Fulani herdsmen were reduced to the barest minimum.

“At no time during the time of Fulani herdsmen terrorism in our land did anybody call for help.

“South East Governors and Ohaneze proscribed IPOB under serious pressure.

“They agreed that Nnamdi Kanu should be killed. Not only me but my men, my father, brothers.

“I said to them, IPOB is here to save Biafra but we are used to it. We are used to the hostility.

“Biafrans are very very special, that is why they hate us.

“Our mothers were humiliated in Owerri and what did Ohaneze do. They laughed at them and said, they went out to protest the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu, so it serves them right.

“These are the people, who want us to regard them as leaders.

“Igboland has been shrunk to just five states. If you go to Opobo, if you speak, Ibo, somebody there will understand you. We have indigenous Igbo speaking people in Kogi state but nobody is talking about them. Ohaneze and Igbo leaders are merely interested in furthering their own interests.

“Biafra is older than the zoo called Nigeria.

“I have nothing against Igbo leaders.

“The priorities of some of our leaders are misplaced.

“They adopted Atiku but the same set of people are castigating Obi.

“When I was released from prison, on two occasions, I was approached and told that the president wants me to put in writing, what my requests are asides from outright independence.

“I told them that I want them to open Igwuocha seaport, Warri seaport, Calabar airport, dredge river Niger. I told them I want 100 per cent resource control…I never heard from them again.

“Some of you have stopped talking about Leah Sharibu.

“Some of you have stopped talking about Dasuki, who has been granted bail by different courts of law.

“Nobody is bothered about the wellbeing of the suffering people.

“Southern Kaduna is under siege and all everyone is talking about how to vote.

“We are not going to vote, because we are greater than that nonsense. IPOB will not vote and I will give you reasons.

“Why is Dasuki still in prison?

“Why are IPOB members still in prison?

“Why will a judge say, release El Zakkay and he is still in prison?

“Shame on you who want to vote.”

Politics / Why Benue People Will Vote Out President Buhari In 2019 -- Gov.ortom by Upritman(m): 1:47pm On Oct 23, 2018
@SuanusBlog

The Benue State Governor, Dr.Samuel Ortom has revealed that the people of the state will not vote for President Muhammadu Buhari in next year's presidential election.

Ortom said the collective decision was not out of hatred for Fulani people as it was being insinuated by people out to cause confusion.

A statement released by the Special Adviser on Media and ICT, to the governor, Mr Tahav Agerzua said the Governor recalls how the state had overwhelmingly supported former presidents Shehu Shagari and Umaru Musa Yar’Adua in 1979, 1983 and 2007 respectively.
“We have lived with the Fulani people for ages; we have nothing against them. Even the Fulani people know that we have nothing against them.”
“We also voted for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015”.

He said that Shagari and Yar’adua reciprocated the support they received by patronizing Benue people through federal appointments and projects. “But from my findings, majority of Benue residents are opposed to the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC, because they have failed to register any positive federal presence in the state. “Many people also feel that the APC-led federal government has failed to secure lives and property,’’ He claimed.

Suanu's Blog recalls that Benue State in recent times has witnessed unbearable heights of killings alleged to have been carried out by Fulani Herdsmen without needed frontal efforts by the federal government to curb the ugly situation.

Politics / Rivers APC Reacts To Supreme Court Judgment, Calls It Mere Academic Exercise by Upritman(m): 3:23pm On Oct 22, 2018
@SuanusBlog

The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has reacted to today's judgment by the Supreme on the crises rocking the state chapter of the party in a matter brought before the apex court involving 23 aggrieved members of the party who alleged that they were unduly excluded from the party congresses.

In a swift reaction by the State Spokesperson of the APC in Rivers State, Chris Finebone, the Supreme Court Judgment was described as a mere academic exercise.

Finebone insisted that the Supreme Court did not set aside the congresses and primaries of the party.

The full statement obtained by Suanu's Blog reads below:

The Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, would like to state, for the avoidance of doubt, that the appeal filed at the Supreme Court by Ibrahim Umar & 22 ors of which the ruling was given today, 3 issues were canvassed before the Supreme Court one of which was that the Appeal Court did not act correctly by granting a stay of execution on the interlocutory orders of the State High Court. The Supreme Court agreed with them. However, the Supreme Court did not make pronouncements on the other issues since the State High Court had already given final judgment on them, an action that has left the present development a mere academic exercise.

The Supreme Court only granted the appeal in parts and did not make any consequential orders as that can only be subject matter at the Appeal Court when the appeal hearing of the State High Court judgment commences.

According to Counsel to APC, "The Supreme Court today allowed the appellant appeal which was against the stay of Order of Injunction of 11/05/2018.The Court said the said order should not have been stayed. The Supreme Court made no orders except to set aside the Court of Appeal order. That clears the way for hearing of the main appeal at Court of Appeal, Port Harcourt against the judgment of the High Court. Their prayer that Supreme Court should hear the pending appeal at Court of Appeal was rejected .The appeal is to be heard and determined by Court of Appeal, Port Harcourt."

It is important for APC faithful to ignore the raging propaganda by detractors that the Supreme Court set aside congresses and primaries of the party in Rivers State. That is a big lie from the pit of hell.

As things stand, all pending appeals at the Appeal Court are proceeding apace with some ongoing today. Furthermore, appeal and stay of the final judgment of the State High Court given on the 10th of October are being perfected and hearing will commence thereafter.

We call on all APC members to remain steadfast and refuse to be distracted as ultimate victory is assured. Those claiming victory and dancing in the streets are doing so either out of ignorance or out to deceive others".

Meanwhile, members of the Senator Magnus Abe led faction of the APC has been thrown celebration over the news of the Supreme Court Judgment which they interpret to be in their best interest.
Many of the supporters Abe, who is a frontline governorship aspirant tropped out to his campaign office in Portharcout this afternoon to celebrate the judgment with him.

Politics / R/S APC Crises Intensify As Supreme Court Gives Judgment Against Amaechi Camp by Upritman(m): 10:45am On Oct 22, 2018
@SuanusBlog

A report reaching Suanu's Blog has it that he Supreme Court of Nigeria has set aside the ruling of the Court of Appeal staying further execution of the Order of Interlocutory Injunction restraining the All Progressives Congress, APC, from conducting further congresses in Rivers State.

The apex court said allowing APC to retain the outcome of the latter Congresses it conducted would amount to a reward for disobedience.

"How can they ask and be granted a stay of execution of an order they flagrantly disobeyed? The court does not exist to bless the disobedience of those who do no regard and respect it".
"The Supreme Court cannot allow people to benefit from their own stupidity," Supreme Court ruled.

Suanu's Blog recalls that Ibrahim Umar and 22 others loyal to Senator Magnus Abe, a frontline governorship candidate under the platform of the APC has dragged the party to court over their unlawful exclusion from the APC congresses that heard in the state.

By this judgment, all actions previously taken by the Hon.Ojukaye Flag Amachree led state executive of the party may just have been thrown into nullity including all candidates for elective offices in the 2019 General Elections.

Politics / Gov.ortom In Trouble As Herdsmen Vow To Unseat Him In 2019 by Upritman(m): 6:17pm On Oct 20, 2018
@SuanusBlog

The re-election bid of the Benue State Governor State, Dr.Samuel Ortom may suffer a great set back if the new threat by Fulani Herders in the state is anything to go by.

In a statement signed by the National President, Alhaji Salisu Ahmadu and Secretary, Umar Shehu, of the Fulani Nationality Movement, FUNAM, an umbrella organization of herdsmen, the group has vowed to mobilize its members across the country to unseat Governor Ortom in the coming 2019 general election.

The group maintained that its members would rally support for any governorship candidate who would ensure their safety and protect their business interest in the state.

They also accused the Governor of conniving with personnel of ‘Operation Whirl Stroke’ to chase them out of Benue.

“We are aware that Governor Ortom is not only in support of the inhuman treatment and callous attacks on our members, but he is the major source of financial and logistical supports to the soldiers who are out to eliminate us from the state.   “Our helpless members have lost thousands of cows in the last ten months that the ‘Operation Whirl Stroke’ came into effect in Benue State. “The sad reality is that the Governor, after failing to use the Anti-Open Grazing Law to prevent us from carrying out our lawful business in his state, has now found an ally in the Nigerian Military who should be neutral at all times. “We also want to make it clear that we shall mobilize our members across the country and embark on an indefinite strike, stopping the sell of beef and other diary products if the harassment in Benue is not stopped immediately. “We also urge our members in Benue State to ensure that they participate in the electoral process by voting to reject Governor Ortom in the forthcoming election. “Our members need to stay in the Benue Valley and ply their trade, hence the need to support whoever promises to accept us as the good neighbours that we are", a statement by the group partly read.

Meanwhile Governor Ortom through his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase described the allegation as spurious, shocking and unfortunate.

Suanu's Blog recalls that hundreds of innocent people have lost their lives in Benue State due to series of clashes between farmers and herdmen.

@SuanusBlog

The lawmaker representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District, Senator Magnus Abe has debunked rumours going round that He has defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Abe, who has been having a long time battle with some leaders of the Rivers State Chapter of the APC over his governorship ambition insisted that he can never abandon a house he participated in building for a foreigner to take over.

In a post on his Facebook page, Senator Abe said:
"How can I leave my fathers house and deny my inheritance. We built the house with our tears, our sweat, and our blood. We will stay in our fathers house and fight for justice. No stranger can chase me out of my home. Desperation leads to fake news. Ignore them and focus on the the God of justice. Hold your peace and be still, for the God of justice will speak and every other voice shall be silent".

Politics / I Actually Developed Okorocha From His Crude State To What He Is Today- Madumere by Upritman(m): 8:15am On Oct 18, 2018
@SuanusBlog

The loss of love between Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and his deputy, Prince Eze Madumere, appears very far from being over as Prince Madumere has insisted that he is better qualified and more competent than Mr. Okorocha. He declared that he would run the state better than the governor if given the opportunity.
Madumere said: “I have tried hard not to join issues with Governor Okorocha. All I can tell you is that I am more qualified and have better pedigree to govern Imo State than Rochas Okorocha; and I will do better as a Governor than what Rochas Okorocha has done. As a deputy governor, I rightly chose to take the side of the people than the side of the Okorocha family.”
Madumere stated this while reacting to Okorocha’s interview on BBC Igbo Service, where he claimed that one of the reasons he chose his son-in-law over others was the issue of competence.
Madumere said that Okorocha would not have been where he is today, without his tutelage and grooming.
He explained that without him, there would not have been today’s Rochas Okorocha who, of course, would not have become governor.
The number two citizen regretted that Okorocha could blackmail and talk down on members of cabinet who helped him attain success.
He wondered why Okorocha would have the temerity to insult him, describing him as incompetent when he was the one that actually developed Okorocha from his crude state to what he is today.
He disclosed that he had refused to join issues with the governor for obvious reason of not destroying what God has used him to build.
Suanu’s Blog recalls that Mr.Okorocha and Prince Madumere have been at loggerheads over who takes over as state governor in 2019. While Okorocha is rooting for his former Chief of Staff and Son Inlaw, while Prince Madumere and some of friends are bent on frustrating the emergence of Uche Nwosu as APC Governorship Candidate in Imo State.

Politics / Pro-abe Supporters Lock Down APC Secretariat, Demand Removal Of Amachree, Cole by Upritman(m): 1:31pm On Oct 12, 2018
Members of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers state loyal to the Senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District, Magnus Abe today led a peaceful protest to the National Headquarters of the APC in Abuja.

The protesters who carried various placards with different inscriptions urged the National Leadership of the party chaired by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to obey the Port Harcourt High court judgment which nullified the Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree's led state executive.

They are also demanding the replacement of Tonye Cole with the name of Senator Magnus Abe as the governorship candidate of the APC in Rivers State as well as other candidates who emerged from the direct primaries their faction of the party conducted in line with an alleged order by the National Executive Committee of party.

Suanu's Blog recalls that a deep political disagreement between the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Senator Magnus Abe had thrown the State Chapter of the APC into unending crises and legal tussles. A recent judgment by Justice Chiwendu Nworgu of a Portharcourt High Court had nullified the congresses which earlier held in the state that produced Hon.Ojukaye Flag Amachree.

Justice Nworgu also declared null and void any action taken by the Ojukaye led state leadership of the party. However, State Spokesperson of the party, Chris Finebone had said the party had began the immediate process of appealing the judgment.

Politics / Top Presidential Aspirant Threatens To Dump PDP by Upritman(m): 12:39pm On Oct 11, 2018
@SuanusBlog

Barely a week after the presidential primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, one of its top presidential hopeful, Engr.Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has threatened to dump the party.

Kwankwaso, who was among 11 aspirants defeated by former Vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar at PDP special National Convention in Portharcourt is reportedly angry over attempts by the party leadership in Abuja to remove the names of some members of the Kwankwasiyya movement from the list of its aspirants.

The Kwankwasiyya movement is a socio-political association of all loyalists and supporters of the former Kano State Governor nationwide.

Daily Trust reports that the warning was issued by Mr.Kwankwaso during a meeting held at Legacy House, Abuja on Wednesday.

The meeting, which commenced at 3pm and ended around 5pm, was attended by many PDP stakeholders including Bello Hayatu Gwarzo and Ambassador Aminu Wali among others.

Suanu's Blog recalls that two factions of the PDP in Kano State led by Kwankwaso and Doguwa had conducted their separate primaries with different candidates emerging. The meeting was therefore an attempt by the Prince Uche Secondus-led National Working Committee (NWC) to review the list of aspirants from Kano State and ensure a win-win situation. However, Senator Kwankwaso is insisting that any attempt to remove any of his loyalists from the list of PDP candidates will leave him with no other choice than to dump the PDP.

“Kwankwaso told the gathering that any move to remove any member of Kwankwasiyya from the aspirants list will lead to his defection from PDP.
“However, the Doguwa-led faction also threatened to dump the party if the leadership failed to review the list of aspirants", a source said.

At last, the meeting reportedly ended in a deadlock as neither Kwankwaso nor Doguwa faction agreed to accept the terms offered by the leadership of the party.

The source added that the leadership of the party in its effort to reconcile the aggrieved members, resolved that the national and state assemblies slots be shared 50-50 between the Kwankwaso and Doguwa factions of the party, this was however rejected by Mr.Kwankwaso.

@SuanusBlog

A massive crowd of Senator Magnus Abe's Supporters on Saturday embarked on a protest to express their displeasure and rejection of the governorship candidature of Arch.Tonye Cole for the 2019 governorship election in Rivers State.

Suanu's Blog recalls that Mr.Cole had emerged as the governorship candidate of the APC in Rivers State from the indirect primaries conducted by the APC in Rivers State. Abe on the other hand had also emerged as the governorship candidate of APC from a direct governorship primaries conducted by his own faction of the party. However, the National Working Committee of the APC adopted Arch.Tonye Cole as the flagbearer of the APC in Rivers State.

This decision angered Senator Abe who had on Friday rejected the action of the party's NWC and vowed to appeal the decision.

Today's protest which held in Bori, the traditional headquarters of the Ogoni People and the headquarters of Rivers South-East Senatorial District was a further demonstration of the rejection of the decision of the APC NWC.

The protesters who carried placards with various inscriptions are calling on the National Working Committee of the APC to recognise Senator Magnus Abe as the governorship candidate of the APC in Rivers State. They are also demanding compliance with the National Executive Committee of the party who had earlier endorsed direct primaries for Rivers State APC.

It may interest you to know that while Arch.Tonye Dele Cole, a Lagos based billionaire business man enjoys the anointing of the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Senator Abe who represents Rivers South-East Senatorial District reportedly contested for the position against the blessing of Mr.Amaechi who is the Leader of the APC in Rivers State.

Politics / Pay Me N20bn And Apologise To Me, Or Be Sued, Fayose Threatens EFCC by Upritman(m): 8:02am On Oct 05, 2018
@SuanusBlog
Controversial outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has issued a new threat to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over his recent placement on security watch list by the commission.

Gov.Fayose in a statement said, he has demanded the EFCC to pay him N20 billion as damages, a written apology from to be published to all Security Agencies in Nigeria, three National Newspapers and the Social Media as well as withdrawal of the request/directive to Security Agencies to place him on security watch list.

The Chairman of PDP Governor's Forum in a letter by his counsel, Obafemi Adewale, dated September 3, 2018, which was received at the Abuja office of the EFCC also vowed to institute a legal action against the EFCC if of His demands were not met within 72 hours.

The letter read; “By a letter Ref No: 3000/EFCC/ABJ/EG/TA/VOL.59/010 dated 12th September, 2018, you instructed all Security Agencies in
Nigeria, including but not limited to the Nigerian Customs Service, NCC, to place our Client on a watch list and to arrest him at sight upon ‘suspicion’ that he might be attempting to flee the country. In your exact words, we quote: ‘The under listed suspect is under investigation in connection with the above mentioned offences and there is reasonable suspicion suggesting that he may likely leave the
country either through the land borders, airport, or seaport in order to invade investigation. Hence, you are kindly requested to watch-list and arrest him.’

“By these words, you have not only fallen foul of the clear provision of Section 308 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic which grants our Client, as an incumbent Governor, immunity from any criminal process/proceedings, you have also exposed our Client to ridicule, opprobrium, odium and hatred in the eyes and opinion of the ordinary man on the street and falsely and mischievously portrayed him as a common fugitive, a run-away from the law who could/should be arrested at sight like a dangerous criminal.

Politics / I Will Teach PDP A Bitter Lesson If Convention Is Moved From Rivers State -- Wik by Upritman(m): 7:01pm On Sep 26, 2018
@SuanusBlog

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared that there will be consequences if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) succumbs to pressures from planted PDP Presidential Aspirants to move the party's National Convention away from Port Harcourt.

Gov.Wike further declared that the State will not support any desperate PDP Presidential Aspirant who is sabotaging the economy of the state by fighting the hosting of the party's Presidential Primary in Port Harcourt.

He warned that Rivers People will teach the party a bitter lesson if it allows planted desperate Presidential Aspirants to scuttle the hosting of the Presidential Primary in Port Harcourt as agreed by all leaders of the party.

Speaking during a consultative visit by the Gombe State Governor and PDP Presidential Aspirant, Dr Ibrahim Dankwambo at the Government House Port Harcourt on Wednesday , Governor Wike said at the PDP's National Meeting, no Presidential Aspirant opposed Port Harcourt as a venue.

According to a statement by Simeon Nwakaudu, Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor, Electronic Media, Gov.Wike said any Presidential Aspirant fighting Rivers State should forget about the support of the state, during and after the National Convention.

He said: Let me warn the party, if you dare, Rivers State will teach the party a lesson. Those days have passed when they took Rivers State for granted. Nobody can use and dump Rivers State.

"No Presidential Aspirant can use and dump Rivers State. We never lobbied for it, we never asked for it, but it will boost the economy of the state. People will make money.
[image_0]
"Those who are against Rivers people from making money to improve their businesses, will not get our support ".

The governor said that whether the National Convention holds in Jigawa or Adamawa, the winner preferred by the delegates will emerge.

"I don't know why anyone who wants to be President, will be afraid of a venue. Then you are not prepared for the election.

"Nobody should dare Rivers State any longer. Enough is enough. PDP should know that we are not a punching bag. We are not a people you can use and push. We are not harlots. Whenever you want, you come. When you finish, you push us aside.

"We will retaliate at the appropriate time. When you go, tell your colleagues, the Presidential Aspirants. We were not interested, but having given it to us, you cannot insult us", Governor Wike said.

The governor pointed out that there are persons who are not Presidential Materials, but have bought forms simply because the Presidency is zoned to the North.

He wondered why a Presidential Aspirant would declare that he is uncomfortable with Port Harcourt as a venue, but would love Rivers oil.

He said: "You come here to deceive us about restructuring. Just that Rivers State is a venue, you fight it. Then, when you are there, what will happen? You think we are fools where you preach restructuring, then when you get the position, you abandon restructuring".

Governor Wike said that at the appropriate time, he will reveal the names of Presidential Aspirants working with the APC Federal Government to scuttle the Presidential Primary.

He added that no Presidential Aspirant will use a few members of the Board of Trustees of PDP to scuttle the decision of the party to host the Presidential Primary in Port Harcourt.

The governor described Governor Dankwambo as eminently qualified to contest the position of President. He said Dankwambo will be considered when Rivers delegates meet to decide on who to support.

Earlier, Gombe State Governor and PDP Presidential Aspirant, Dr Ibrahim Dankwambo called on Rivers PDP delegates to support his aspiration as he has the capacity to set the country on the path of growth.

He said that the crisis of development being suffered by the country is a result of the leadership vacuum at the Federal Level .

While saying that he has the training, exposure and experience to lead the country in the right direction, Dankwambo urged Nigerians not to make the error of 2015 when they chose promises ahead of performance.

The Presidential Aspirant said that he will support whoever emerges as Presidential Candidate, should it turn out that party delegates vote in a different direction.

Politics / Cancellation OF Votes By INEC Stopped Apc’s Victory In Osun Guber Election – Gov by Upritman(m): 8:04am On Sep 24, 2018
@SuanusBlog

The Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has blamed the inability of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC to emerge victorious in the governorship election which held in the state on September 22 on the number of votes cancelled in various polling units by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Gov.Aregbesola who spoke through his Media Adviser, Mr. Sola Fasure, on Sunday, said: “If there was no cancellation in those areas, we would have won outrightly without the need for the rerun.”

He expressed optimism in the ability of the APC to win this Thursday’s rerun election. “We expect to win at the first ballot. “We believe in the rule of law and due process and democrats, we will abide by INEC’s decision, it is okay by us, Fasure said.

Suanu’s Blog recalls that the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Joseph Afuape, declared the poll inconclusive after the difference between PDP’s 254,698 and APC’s 254,345 could not determine a clear winner.

The expected votes of 3,498 will determine a winner for the election. It may interest you to note that the PDP already has 353 votes to its advantage against 0 of the APC.

Politics / 226 Former Councilors, 21 LG Bosses Dump Gov.bindow For Buhari's Inlaw by Upritman(m): 7:15am On Sep 24, 2018
The reelection bid of the governor of Adamawa State, Jibrilla Bindow, has suffered another major set-back. This follows the decision of the forum of former vice chairmen and elected councilors in Adamawa State to withdraw their support for him. The Group said their action was due to the refusal of the Governor to pay them their entitlements.
The Group also announced Dr.Mahmood Ahmed, the brother in-law of President Muhammadu Buhari as their chosen governorship aspirant ahead of the party’s primary election.

Addressing journalists on Sunday, Dedan Menayi, vice chairman of the forum while lamenting over their neglect by Gov.Bindow said members of the forum were “constrained to withdraw their support,’’ for the governor’s inability to pay medical and health workers, as well as local government staff for over eight months.
‘’Governor Bindow had several times promised to pay furniture allowances to all former vice chairmen, secretaries, supervisory councilors, legislative councilors and advisers but he has refused to fulfill his promise.
‘’We are withdrawing our loyalty and support and calling on patriotic APC governorship aspirants, most especially Dr Mahmood Halilu Ahmed –Modi to come and rescue the state,’’ Mr Menayi said
Also speaking, a former councilor, Moses Fwa, accused Gov.Bindow of slashing their salaries by half.

According to him: ‘’Governor Bindow has reduced our tenure and salary to 50 per cent. Each councilor is being owed N7.8 million. We have 105 supervisory councilors, 226 legislative councilors, 21 vice chairmen in the forum.
‘’The aftermath of this have led to separation in marriages, eviction by landlords and closure of many businesses in the state; while failure of the governor to pay our salaries has also led to withdrawal of our children from school’’ .

A female former councilor, Bilhatu Titus, wondered how they could face the people to campaign for Gov.Bindow after his poor performance, disregard for party officials and the inability of the local councils to execute any project.
‘’The local government councils didn’t execute any project, no money and no people oriented projects by the present administration, so how do you expect us to campaign for the governor?
‘’Governor Bindow has no regard to party Exco and councilors and hence we resolved to express our grievances and we are dumping him for another candidate that can salvage the state,’’ she said.

Suanu’s Blog recalls that the governorship ambition of President Buhari’s brother inlaw had unsettled the Adamawa State chapter of the APC and marked the beginning of a major challenge to the second term bid of Gov.Bindow, who many accuse of being a strong ally and stooge of PDP Presidential Aspirant, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Jobs/Vacancies / FRSC Recruitment: Different Email Notifications, Could This Be Fraudulent/fake? by Upritman(m): 6:42am On Sep 24, 2018
@SuanusBlog

After much wait by Nigerians, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) last week informed applicants on the notifications on successful applicants and the commencement of its nationwide recruitment screening exercise through a released time-table for applicants who applied for the corps’ recruitment into the different Cadres.

Suanu’s Blog recalls that a statement by the Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, disclosed the screening time-table for its screening and physical fitness assessment on recruitment which will commence on Sept. 24 and end on Sept. 29th 2018.

Earlier, applicants were urged to check their email addresses to confirm receipt of mails from September 19th, 2019. However, many Nigerians waited curiously in vain as many never saw the mail that day. Subsequently, applicants began to confirm the receipt of the invitation mails.

With the recruitment exercise starting today, Suanu’s Blog has noted a disturbing difference in the invitational mails that raises the fears of fraudulent individuals already infiltrating the process.

A deep analysis of two sampled invitation mails shows glaring differences in the format, style and write-ups on the mails.

Suanu’s Blog particularly noticed the differences in the following areas:

Date and Venue: while the scheduled date was written expressly on some invitational mails, some other ones had that not stated at all. Also, while some mails contained the venue peculiar to an applicant specifically mentioned, some others had a link in the mail sent to them, which redirects them to a list of all the venues and dates in the 36 states of the federation and the FCT.

Name: The individual names of some applicants were stated alongside their registration numbers, others simply showed, “Dear Applicant”.

Date of Mail Receipt: While some mails were received as early as 20th of September, Suanu’s Blog noticed that some other persons received theirs just yesterday; some very late in the night.

Requirement for entry into the recruitment venue: Suanu’s Blog also noticed a slight grammatical discrepancy in the requirement to be allowed into the venues. While some mails indicated “Printout of summary data page OR email notification”, others said “Summary data page AS WELL AS this email notification.

The above noticed differences among few others have raised the dust about the possibility of a fraud as it is unexpected for a mail believed to be sent from same source to have different bodily content.

A verification of the authenticity of the invitational mails is necessary to save applicants from suspicious fraudulent possibilities, embarrassment at recruitment venues and probable logistical inconveniences when relying on a likely FAKE invitation.

If you received the invitational mails, kindly cross-check for these issues raised and share your comments below.

Politics / Osun State Governorship Election Declared Inconclusive, Rerun To Be Held Later by Upritman(m): 2:25pm On Sep 23, 2018
@SuanusBlog

After a suspicious delay by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the governorship election taking place in Osun State has been declared inconclusive.

Suanu’s Blog gathered that as at the final collation of results, the PDP candidate, Ademola Adeleke got 254,698 votes while his closest rival of the ruling APC, Gboyega Oyetola got 254, 345.

This is coming despite the victory of the PDP by 353 votes. However, this may not unconnected to the 1999 constitution which specifies that the winner must have not less than one-quarter of the votes in at least two-thirds of all the local government areas of the state.

According to the INEC returning officer for the election, Afolabi Atanda, a rerun will be held in areas where election was cancelled in a yet to be announced date.

Politics / IPOB Drags APC Chieftain To Court Over Nnamdi Kanu's Whereabout by Upritman(m): 4:13pm On Sep 20, 2018
As the whereabouts of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, remains exactly unknown, the Group has revealed its plan to drag a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr.Orji Uzor Kalu to court.

The decision to sue Kalu, who is a former governor of Abia state was due to a comment he made on the whereabout of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu.

According to the IPOB lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Kalu’s statement was a script written by the Federal government and acted by him (Kalu).

Mr.Ejiofor added that Orji Uzor Kalu, had made himself a party to the matter already in court.

Suanu's Blog recalls that the IPOB Leader had gone missing after a raid on his country home by Nigerian soldiers. Some persons have rumoured the secessionist to have either died or is hidden in a location known by the Army. However, Dr.Kalu insists that the IPOB Leader had escaped from Nigeria and is cooling off in London.

Politics / Gov.wike Will Bury PDP If His Stooge Emerges As PDP Presidential Aspirant by Upritman(m): 3:14pm On Sep 20, 2018
@SuanusBlog

A coalition of Northern youths within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike of plotting to ensure his preferred presidential aspirant emerges as the flagbearer of the party for the 2019 polls.

The Group in a statement signed by its Convener, Honourable Awwal Dahiru in Abuja on Thursday, said the decision to move the National Convention to Portharcourt, the Rivers State capital was part of Gov.Wike's schemes to rig and install an unpopular aspirant as the Presidential candidate of the party.

The Group warned that if Gov.Wike succeeds then He would have single handedly buried the chances of the party to return to the presidency in line with the aspiration of Nigerians.

“We have noticed with great concern the orchestrated plan to once again subvert the power of the National Convention and the rights of the National delegates to exercise their powers without fear or favour as was done at the December National Convention when the party elected its National Officers.
“We wish to state unequivocally that that process was in no way free and fair and the outcome of that manipulation is still mitigating against the party till now.
This new plot, if allowed to succeed, will bury the party once and for all.
“We are aware of the attempt by Governor Wike to force Governors of the party to endorse a particular aspirant he has pledged to give the presidential ticket of the party to and how the Governor of Bayelsa State led the resistance against him.
“The PDP is much bigger than any individual and can no longer continue to be the annex of a particular Governor. The National Chairman, Chief Uche Secondus, must realize that he is nothing but a custodian of that office and the Northern youth will not stand back and allow this.”
“At a time when Nigerians are looking towards the party for salvation, embarking on imposition and dictatorial tendencies will not make us different from the APC government we are trying to replace. ” Abuja remains the capital of Nigeria and the centre of unity, Port Harcourt is not and if for any other reasons Abuja is not available as venue for the Convention, there are over thirty other States in Nigeria where the Convention can be held but definitely not Rivers State,” the statement read.”

Politics / List Of Governors Heading For The Senate In 2019 by Upritman(m): 9:30am On Sep 15, 2018
@SuanusBlog

The Senate is likely to have more former governors after the 2019 General Elections as more governors ending their second tenures are jostling to the red chamber.

This is a disturbing trend that is not going to be over in the nearest future as no law in Nigeria stops the former governors from seeking elections into the National Assembly.

However, some Nigerians have expressed worry at the habitual plot of many former governors to make the Senate a retirement venue with no impact on national development.

Recently, a presidential aspirant, Donald Duke has hinted that the formers governors at the Senate were responsible for the many troubles that have characterised the Senate in recent times.

Duke, who is a former Governor of Cross River State in a tweet had said;
“The Senate won’t find peace until former governors stop making it a retirement home”.

Suanu's Blog gathered that while there are no fewer than 15 former governors currently in the Senate, about 6 new ones are perfecting plots to join the red chambers in 2019.

They include;
1. Gov.Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State
2. Gov. Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State
3. Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo State
4. Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State
5. Gov. Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State
6. Gov. Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State.

While five are of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, just one is of the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Considering the influences exerted by these incumbent governors, it is expected that many of them will win the upcoming elections and become national lawmakers.

But what will they be doing when they get there?

Will they be sleeping off ?

Looting our common wealth further?

Or pursuing their greedy agenda at the detriment of common Nigerians?
