The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, says her earlier scheduled congresses from ward, local government to State levels were postponed indefinitely to "cure a legal land mine".

This was disclosed by Senator John Akpanudeodehe, who is the National Secretary of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee.

Politics Hub Nigeria recalls that a letter addressed to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had revealed the indefinite postponement of the Congresses.

This postponement has also affected the possibility of holding the APC's National Convention in September.

But Senator Akpanudeodehe said the postponement of the congresses was to ensure that the party remained on the side of the law by notifying the electoral body of its activities.

The APC expressed shock at how the letter addressed to INEC was leaked to the general public.

“The above document in circulation does not intend a postponement of the congresses. How it leaked from INEC is strange.

“It is to cure the legal land mine occasioned by Section 85 of the Electoral Act on the issuance of 21 Days’ notice to INEC, bearing in mind that the earlier date we released was not sacrosanct,”Senator Akpanudeodehe said.

Meanwhile some aggrieved APC members have alleged that the postponement is part of a grand plot by members of the Caretaker Committee to continue to remain in office for a long time. This has raised fears and tensions that these aggrieved members might soon drag the APC to court to vent their grievances.

Niger Delta Militants under the auspices of Niger Delta Avengers, has announced her return with a vow to cripple Nigeria's economy and attack politicians.

The new decision was contained in a statement released on Saturday in which the militant group said it had launched ‘Operation Humble’ which is targeted at crippling the Nigerian economy.

Niger Delta Avengers in the statement also threatened to attack politicians who are working with the Federal Government “to undermine the Niger Delta region”.

It further expressed lost confidence in the Chief Edwin Clark-led Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), which played a critical role to make the group accept ceasefire in 2017 and vowed that ‘No oil installation will be spared’.

Politics Hub Nigeria recalls that Niger Delta Avengers had launched attacks on oil installations when President Muhammadu Buhari was barely a year in office, forcing Nigeria into recession.

The statement reads below:

“There is no gainsaying that the failed country called Nigeria which has fed fat on our God-given wealth is at the brink of total disintegration, owing to the security and related challenges across the country; ranging from terrorism and banditry in the North, to the secessionist gongs of the Oduduwa people of the South-west and IPOB of the South-east it is obvious that peace in the Niger Delta, and by extension, the South-South geopolitical region is the very thin piece still binding this country together.”

“It is disheartening that despite being the economic backbone and having resolved to maintain the peaceful environment for the smooth operations of the oil multinationals whose proceeds the country cling unto for economic survival, the Niger Delta and the South-South remain the most under developed, with our needs and interests undermined by the failed Nigerian State.

“We decided to suspend our famous operation red economy‚ which bled the Nigerian economy into recession about 4 years ago not because we are lazy, but for the love we have for our people and out of respect for the voice of the elders of the Niger Delta region, who beckoned on us to give peace a chance and avail the government time to act on our demands at the time.”

“In a move to remind this failed government that we have exhausted the very last iota of patience, the High Command of the Niger Delta Avengers have in a meeting held last night resolved as follows:

“We have lost total confidence on all socio-cultural groups like PANDEF, the elders of Niger Delta and the bunch of so-called ex-agitators frolicking with the Government at our detriment.

“This operation shall be coded ‘Operation Humble’‚ aimed at bringing down targeted oil installations in the Niger Delta Region, capable of humbling the economy into permanent recession.

“This mission is also targeted at political actors who are collaborating with the Nigerian Government to undermine the interest of the Niger Delta people.

“There is no doubt that the Nigerian Government has continued to pay deaf ears to our demands and the rising challenges in the country, because the pipelines that crisscross our lands are left untouched, allowing dollars to flow into the Federal treasury on a daily basis for, mismanagement.

“We shall spare no single oil installation within our range of strategic targets marked for destruction in the coming days and we bet the Nigerian Government will be humbled to return to the drawing board and chart an all-inclusive course by the time we are done with our action plan.

“Members of our strike teams across the Niger Delta are commanded to be on red alert, awaiting precise strike plans as mapped by the high command of the NDA.”

Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi from Delta State has dumped the people's Democratic Party and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

This is coming after the Delta State chapter of the PDP had suspended Senator Nwaoboshi for one month for criticizing Gov Ifeanyi Okowa.
The new APC Senator was received by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa after he was led by Gov Buni and his Caretaker committee Leadership of the APC.

The Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, who was among other legislators and party leaders at the brief event said Senator Nwaoboshi’s decision to join the APC clearly shows that the effort of the CECPC was yielding fruit.

A statement signed by presidential Aide, Garba Shehu, said President Buhari warmly welcomed Senator Nwaoboshi and was deeply excited by his decision to join the APC.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike Thursday evening received letter of approval for the construction of a law school campus in the State.

Politics Hub Nigeria recalls that Gov Wike while laying the foundation for the construction of two hostel blocks and a 1,500-seat auditorium at the Bayelsa State law school campus had promised to construct a new law school campus for Rivers State if given the opportunity.

The Rivers State Government spent N5billion on the project in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital with criticisms from some Rivers State indigines.

Barely two weeks after that demand was made, the management of the Nigerian Law School were at the Rivers State Government House to give the Approval Letter to the Governor.

At a brief event at the Government House, Gov Wike said he feels a sense of honor that his request was granted within the shortest unimagined time.

He promised to mobilize all resources needed for the completion of the project within six months.

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Friday travel again to the UK for a scheduled medical check-up.

This was disclosed on Thursday via a statement signed by Presidential Media Aide, Femi Adesina.

According to Adesina, the President will be back in the country during the second week of July, 2021.

Dalung who was not reappointed upon the reelection of President Buhari in 2019 listed his (Buhari's) major problems to include that:

1. He Has Refused To Change: According to Dalung, "Buhari has not changed. But Buhari is like an angel who is invited to dance in the mould and Nigerians expect him to return to heaven with a clean robe. Certainly, it would not happen".

2. He Is Over-Confident And Ignores His Operational Environment: Dalung also said: “The second problem of Buhari is that he believes so much on himself and insists on doing what is right. But he also does not believe that the environment upon which he operates is different from what he is.

3. He Is An Unfortunate Leader With Many People Around Him Who Have Reused To Help Him To Succeed: Dalung added the third thus;
“The last problem is that Muhammadu Buhari is one of the most unfortunate leaders who meant well for the country but so many people who are supposed to help him succeed are just folding their arms watch him and say ‘do it let’s see!’

“And it is the ‘do it let’s see’ syndrome that has made the Buhari government subject of attacks from Nigerians…”

Dalung listed these problems of President Buhari while speaking during the presentation of a book entitled ‘Buhari in Us’ written by Haruna Abdullahi at Army Resource Centre, Abuja on Tuesday.

He said the only thing he owes President Buhari now is to tell him the truth always; "My covenant with him is to tell him whenever he is right and also whenever he is wrong", he concluded.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has decried the sorry state of Nigeria under the government of President Muhammadu Buhari comparing it to being on oxygen support.

The Governor said Nigeria has been faced with unbearable challenges on all sides from insecurity to the economy.

He insisted that Nigeria was better under the PDP administration than under the APC led government.

Gov Wike who stated these while speaking at the commissioning of the Isaiah Odol and Omerelu streets in GRA Phase I, PortHarcourt challenged the federal government to mention the projects executed in Rivers State since 2015.

"There's no single Project done by the APC led federal government in any local government area in Rivers State. Across the 23 local government areas in Rivers State you won't find any federal government project done by this APC government.
While they are building Standard Guage Rail Lines in other parts of Nigeria, the Narrow Guage they promised us, nothing is still happening till now.
Even the Bonny-Bodo road they're supposed to do in partnership with NLNG, they're not fulfilling their own part of the partnership.
And we all have less than 2 years in office.
Tomorrow they will come again to make empty promises ahead of 2023, so if they come please ask them what they have done for the period they have been in power."

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has supported the ban on Twitter by the Nigerian government led by President Muhammadu Buhari. The APC also accused Twitter of supporting divisive views which threaten Nigeria’s sovereignty and national interest.

In a statement signed by the party’s interim national secretary, John Akpanudoedehe, the APC said:
“We are a democratic and independent nation, citizens should defend our sovereignty by supporting the federal government’s Twitter suspension. It is in our national interest.”

The APC further encouraged Nigerian youths to see the ban as an opportunity for a homegrown social media network.
“Russia has VKontakte (VK), China has Weibo, among several homegrown social media platforms. The APC believes that the country has the potentials and talents that can develop alternative and competitive applications to existing platforms in the world. Twitter’s suspension will undoubtedly serve as a positive trigger to unleash the creative potentials of Nigerians in the global digital space.

The defeated governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the just concluded Edo Poll, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has reacted to his loss.


In a tweet on his official twitter handle, Pastor Ize-Iyamu blamed his defeat on the prevention of his numerous supporters from voting during the exercise.


He however praised his supporters for enduring what he called the "many evils" against them during the exercise.

Pastor Ize-Iyamu also added that he was currently studying the results and would announce his next line of action soon.


"I thank and appreciate my supporters, who had to endure many evils including being prevented from voting, for their support and determination during the election. I assure you all that I am studying the results along with other party members and will announce my next move soon," he said.

One characteristic about the just concluded governorship election in Edo State is the exchange of governorship candidates.

As Nigerians await the official announcement of the results of the governorship election which held on Saturday in Edo State, Naija Politics Hub reports that incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently maintaining a clear lead after winning eight of the 12 Local Governments announced.

An official of the Rivers State Government identified as Sir Cyril Amaewhule is dead.

Sir Amaewhule reportedly died from the dreadly Coronavirus.

He reportedly buried on Sunday according to NCDC guidelines.

Until his sudden demise, Sir Amaewhule was the Treasurer General and Deputy Accountant General of Rivets State.

Mr. Needam Promise Gogorobari, the Owner of Prodest Hotel, one of the hotels recently demolished by Gov.Nyesom Wike in Eleme LGA of Rivers State, has raised the alarm over what he called a plot by Gov.Wike to kill his Manager,  Dr. Bariledum Job Azoroh.

Bittertruth Media recalls that the embattled manager had earlier been arrested, convicted and taken into quarantine for Covid-19 by the Rivers State Government.

However, Mr. Needam, in a statement he personally signed on Sunday alleged that Gov.Wike had succeeded in infecting his hotel manager with Covid-19 and kept him under the treatment of unorthodox hired medical officers who will finally kill him.

He also alleged that the governor has also ordered the tracing of the lawyer of the Manager so as to arrest him to the isolation center.

According to Mr.Needam, the evil moves by Gov.Wike is aimed at justifying the demolition of his hotel, an action that received viral condemnation.

He further called for the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control, to safe the life of his hotel manager.

The statement reads in part below:

"I have it on good authority based on intelligent report reaching me today - 24th May 2020 that the manager of Prodest Hotel in Eleme, Dr. Bariledum Job Azoroh, who is a now a deliberate and sinister convict of the Rivers State Government and also a prisoner of the Rivers State Government has been framed up by an unorthodox hired medical officers recruited by Governor Wike with a report that he has tested positive to COVID-19 whilst in detention with the Rivers State Government.

The illegal detention facility is in Stadium, Elekahia, Port Harcourt and the Federal Government has since kicked against all forms of illegal detention in Rivers State. The Administration of Governor Wike has no regard for rule of law and feelings for the poor masses.

The Rivers State Government and Governor of Rivers State must be held liable for infecting my manager who is in their custody for over 15 days with COVID-19. He was a very healthy person before his arrest. It is therefore medically impossible that the infection occurred before his detention.

It is a known fact that I and the Rivers State Government are at daggers drawn over demolition of my hotel. It is a beastial act for the same Government to convict my manager and now infect him with the novel Corona virus. It is also known that the object of the Governor is to kill my manager and his lawyer by conducting some unorthodox medical tracing to the lawyer.

The manager is currently under pressure to take some unorthodox drugs that are non-compliant to the NCDC prescription and treatment procedures.

Furthermore, the drugs have been prepared locally and it is a poison such that if used will kill the manager of Prodest hotel within 24 hours.

The whole world should be aware that Governor Wike wants kill the manager to convince the public that infected persons were in the hotel all in attempt to justify his illegal demolition of the hotel on the 10th of May 2020. The society should therefore be concerned just as I am worried.

This is an SOS call. The President of Nigeria should step in now to stop the murderous rage of the Governor of Rivers State. He should submit Dr. Bariledum Job Azoroh to NCDC in Abuja and stop all further acts in this matter. All concerned are by this advised to go into hiding until the President steps in . This situation requires the full implementation of a state of emergency in Rivers State."

The Rivers State Government was yet to react to the allegations as at press time.

A former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Chief Blessing Agbomhere, says God has revealed to him who will be the next governor of Edo State.

Chief Agbomhere said he got the revelation from God after praying for seven days at the mountain to seek the face of God on the political situation in Edo State.

According to him, the person God showed him is the next Edo Governor is Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Serious fears have enveloped the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, over an alleged plot by some forces in Abuja to instigate the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency in Rivers State.

Gov.Wike raised the alarm in a statement signed by the Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim on Tuesday night.

"The Rivers State Government has uncovered plans by some citizens of the State who reside in Abuja to cause a breakdown of law and order in order to declare a State of Emergency," the statement read in part.

According to the statement, this renewed attempt is coming after previous ones failed because of God's intervention.

The statement further alleged that those behind the state of emergency plot are persons from Rivers State with 2023 political ambitions who want to use the Rivers State fight against COVID-19 to create a crisis as if the State is at war with the Federal Government.

"These persons whose attempts to declare State of Emergency in the State since 2015 have never succeeded because of God's intervention.

They did everything within their powers to ensure that the 2019 Governorship Election results were not announced but also failed.

As the build up for the 2023 elections and jostle for Presidential and Vice-Presidential tickets is gathering momentum, they want to use COVID-19 to create a crisis as if the State is at war with the Federal Government.

They have decided to create unnecessary tension as if indigenes of Ahoada, Eleme and Port Harcourt are fighting with Northerners not to carry out their legitimate businesses.

People forget history quickly. Since 2015, there have farmers/herdsmen clashes in Nasarrawa, Plateau, Taraba, Ebonyi, Cross River, Kaduna, Yobe and Bornu States.

Throughout this COVID-19 pandemic, States like Enugu, Lagos, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Edo and Kaduna States have been intercepting lorries carrying human beings instead of foodstuffs.

This is the same thing that the Rivers State Government is doing to protect the State from COVID-19."

Gov.Wike lamented that instead of those He called "Abuja Politicians" to work with him for the good of Rivers People, they are plotting to acquire power through the backdoor.

But here in Rivers State, instead of supporting our efforts, these Abuja politicians are busy looking for a State of Emergency because they want to acquire power."

Gov.Wike said while He is working hard to protect lives of the people against the Covid-19, some APC leaders in Rivers State are busy politicising the Covid-19 war.

" Our fight against COVID-19 is to protect the lives of everyone living and doing business in the State.

We are aware that some shameless politicians are playing politics with COVID-19.

No wonder one of the respected chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had to expose their plan to use COVID-19 to launch into the politics of the State.

This is what we see in the lives of ungodly, dangerous and power hungry people who claim to love the State.

After their clandestine meetings they have voted huge sums of money to entice and recruit gullible persons to carry out their plan."

The Governor urged Rivers People to resist the "Abuja Politicians" and their evil plots against the state adding that God will ensure they are defeated as usual.

A yet to be identified lady has reacted angrily at a recent statement credited to Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries, a Pentecostal Church, with headquarters in Port-Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

The highly infuriated lady attacked Pastor Ibiyeomie for saying "Coronavirus Doesn't Exist In Nigeria, That Politicians Are Just Using It To Steal Money".

She described the popular cleric as "stupid, ignorant and talking trash".

Worgu Boms also narrated how Mr.Amaechi underrated Mr.Wike ahead of the 2015 Governorship Election describing him as a "Small Boy".

Popular Nigerian televangelist, and founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries, in Port Harcourt, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, says, there is no Coronavirus in Nigeria, that politicians and other institutions are just using it to steal money.

The renowned cleric stated this on Sunday while preaching at Salvation Ministries, Headquarters in Port-Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Pastor Ibiyeomie also said what Nigeria has is the normal malaria that Nigerians are seriously immuoned to and not Coronavirus. Making reference to the experience of the Founder of DAAR Communications, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, Ibiyeomie questioned the alleged treatment they were giving to Covid-19 patients and expressed serious doubts over the daily statistics issued by the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control, NCDC.

The cleric also condemned the borders closure and lockdowns declared by the Federal and State Governments due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

He further condemned the use of facemasks even when speaking, describing those who wear the facemasks as "masquerades".

Pastor Ibiyeomie also advised the Federal Government to give money to other states like was given to Lagos State Government so as to appease the other aggrieved governors. He made special appeals for governors from oil producing states, saying if monies are giving to other Governors as was given to Gov.Sanwo-Olu, Coronavirus will automatically end.

The Pastor also advised Nigerians to read their Bible always for them not to suffer from the Coronavirus.

The Special Assistant on Electronic Media to Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu is dead.

Mr.Nwakaudu's death was confirmed in a statement by the Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim, on Sunday.

According to the statement, Gov.Wike described late Nwakaudu as a loyal and dedicated professional who contributed immensely to the implementation of the The NEW Rivers Vision.

The governor on behalf of his family, the government and good people of the State condoled with the bereaved family.

Gov.Wike prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the great loss.

A former Governorship Aspirant in Rivers State, Senator Magnus Abe has described the approach taken by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike in his fight against Covid-19 in the state as "Draconian" and that such will be " counter productive in the long run".

The former Lawmaker representing Rivers South-East senatorial district stated this in his official reaction on what He called the recent worrisome development in Rivers State.

In the piece titled "A Dangerous Gamble" and posted on his social media page, Senator Abe said:

"The demolition and auction of private property, the closure of all sources of survival for citizens of Rivers state without due consideration for their means of sustenance in the name of the battle against Covid 19, are draconian measures that will prove counter productive in the long run.

Lockdowns must come with clear provisions for the sustenance of the people, particularly the vulnerable population (the young, the old, the sick and the infirm) and exemptions must be made for emergency and essential services, such as foodstuffs , pharmaceuticals, press, medical care and security services, electricity, telecom, fuel supply etc.
To do otherwise even in times of physical warfare is a war crime, for power without compassion is tyranny."

The APC Chieftain lamented that Gov.Wike's approach tends to further divide Rivers People.

"The Rivers state war against Covid 19 at this rate runs the risk of dividing the state into two distinct camps, those who support the Governor and will justify, glorify and applaud any action taken by the Rivers state government no matter how callous and ill advised, and those who oppose the governor and will oppose every action of the state government no matter how well thought out or well intentioned the action may be.

In the face of glaring excesses, everyone will be compelled to choose one side or the other, and our state will suffer", he said.

Senator Abe urged Gov.Wike to reconsider his strategy so as to win the real war against Covid-19.

"This need not be so, there is still time for the Rivers state government to reconsider its strategy, and understand that this is a scientific war against a virus and all of us will need to be involved.

At this rate the government may win the lockdown battle and loose the war.

Covid 19 is going to be here for sometime and we need the goodwill and cooperation of the majority of our people to win the war against this virus.

Few hours after arresting over 200 persons and confiscating about 20 vehicles of persons who violated the total lockdown order declared in Port-Harcourt and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas of Rivers State, the State Governor, Nyesom Wike Thursday night also intercepted and arrested 14 persons hidden in trailers conveying cows from the North.

The Governor who acted on a security tipoff made the interception and arrest at the Rumuigbo axis of Obio-Akpor LGA of Rivers State.

Gov.Wike also ordered the arrested persons to be tested for coronavirus and prosecuted while their cows and trailer would be auctioned.

The arrested persons are all northerners who usually accompany cows for sale.

Senator Dino Melaye has filed a suit at the Federal High Court Abuja against the House of Representatives and the Speaker, Rt.Hon.Femi Gbajabiamila.
