Don't even bring that idea of excusing any region. Both regions are to blame. See PDP for example, what is Fayose doing contesting? Even Udon Emmanuel? They should have agreed to step down for the strongest souther candidate has Tambuwal did. We just have stupid ego in the south. Looks like even the South voted Atiku |

Politics › Re: Nigerian Government Should Price Oil In Naira by Upworkwriter007(f): 9:15am On May 25, 2022 |
motymop: Inflation rate is high and the naira is becoming useless day by day.
The cost of goods and services leep increasing, even if you earn in dollars doing freelancing jobs or working for an international organization, you will noticed that when you convert your dollar into naira, it is no more enough because of inflation.
I think what we need at this moment is a demand for naira to strengthen the naira.
The government need to start pricing all the goods we export in naira instead of the dollar, that will increase the demand for the naira and help in reducing inflation in the country.
The Russians, chinese, Turks and many other countries are now pricing their goods in their local currencies instead of the dollar, that way it help increase demand in their currencies and also help in stabilising exchange rate.
The reality could be that currency swap could be the future of international trade and Nigeria needs to adapt, the dollar is no more reliable, let's think about other methods to help balance the dollar naira exchange rate. Nigeria is not all that important trade-wise. Russia could pull that off because their are countries totally dependent on their natural resources. |

In sri lanka, the government leased out a port to a chinese company...it's a lease because the government can't run it. And this is even before the default. Sri Lanka still owes china. Its like leasing our abandoned refinery to China and claiming china is taking over our country. We're about to do this with Ajaokuta steel plant BTW. |

naijaman2225: IT IS NOT THE QUANTITY OF CHINESE DEBT AS PERCENTAGE OF TOTAL DEBT PORTFOLIO THAT IS THE ISSUE HERE. IT IS THE CONSEQUENCES OF NOT PAYING WHEN THE LOAN IS DUE. WE CAN SEE IT ALREADY PLAYED OUT IN SRI LANKA. AFRICANS, EITHER OUT OF FEAR OR IGNORANCE, ARE UNWILLING/UNABLE TO CALL IT WHAT IT TRULY IS: NEOCOLONIALISM. I can bet that it's the NEOCOLONIALISM that's at play in your instance. Let me do a quick check. What is the consequence of not paying chinese debt vis-a-vis a western debt. Chances are high that you don't know, as the media won't want to discuss it. 10% of sri lanka's debt is to china. Guess what, they owe more to Japan and World Bank. You will only hear western media report on Chinese debt. You're falling for NEO-COLONIALISM that's being propagated by western media. The consequences of defaulting a World bank and IMF debt is far reaching that chinese debt. In fact, its economic suicide to default on IMF and World Bank. |

10% is a lot for a poor countries like Nigeria. The country is currently servicing debt owed to China in circa of $200 million (84 billion naira per year).

AlexBells: How they were rewarded is becuase being a senator with ACN is different from being a senator in APC, the reward therein is that as at now, they representing through APC not ACN, lol....so Buhari was rewarded with presidency? After all, buhari needed them, they didn't need buhari...they could have remained in ACN and still been senators. |

You guys will just open mouth to talk foolishly because of your bigoted and ethnocentric affiliations.
Amaechi may have served the man , i.e Buhari, but others served Buhari and the Party, which is far more important, to make The APC the ruling Party and Buhari President.
For example, you should tell me what role Ameachi played in Buhari winning the Party primaries in 2014. What delegates did he deliver for that win?
We won't even talk about the main election itself. Nonsense. Thank you. The guy is just making funny arguments. |

AlexBells: Exactly what they are doing in my list, You're beginning to argue weirdly....Oluremi tinubu has been in senate before buhari won his election. Most lagos state senators have been in power via ACN since that time. How were dey now rewarded? The fact remains that, Amaechi moving to APC was his only choice. Remaining in PDP would have spelt problem for him. Even if he wasn't in APC, the party would have still won. He influenced little vote for the party. So what's he being compensated for? |

AlexBells: Saraki wasny compasanted but he got to the Senate lol, tell me something else, how do you expect to remove him from Senate and make him a minister lol, between a minister and a senator who is more important?, he only acted up while he was already in the Senate, how do you explain him getting into the Senate? The minister of transportation is a more juicy position than being a senator. Any senator right now will resign if offered to the minister of transportation slot. He got to his senate cose he contested senatorial election, not because he was rewarded. Amaechi decamped cose he had no choice, he was rewarded with a juicy position. |

Politics › Re: Amechi Made The Biggest Sacrifice For APC; However, May The Will Of God Be Done by Upworkwriter007(f): 7:00am On May 24, 2022 |
AlexBells: Well, why didn't he act like Saraki?, Saraki wasn't compensated. He went through the backdoor to become the senate president, and the party hated him for it. You think if they had given saraki this same position, he won't be in APC? |
Politics › Re: Amechi Made The Biggest Sacrifice For APC; However, May The Will Of God Be Done by Upworkwriter007(f): 6:53am On May 24, 2022 |
AlexBells: When it comes to who made the biggest sacrifice to APC and Buhari's emergence, Chibuike Amechi is the man, he had lost more than anyone else for APC and while other former PDP members who decamped to APC later left the party, Chibuike Amechi had remained loyal to the party and to Mr. President.
Recall that people like Saraki, Atiku had jumped ship since the formation of APC, but Amechi remained. Now let's look at some sacrifices of Chibuike Amechi.
1. Losing his state Political Structure: This is one of the biggest aspect of Amechi's loss, given that his state of Rivers is a core PDP stronghold, Amechi lost the state structure immediately after his tenure and now nearly becoming exiled to Abuja especially as his successor Nyesom Nwike had vowed to torment him.
2. Made political enemies at home: We must not forget that Chibuike Amechi had justification for abandoning then president Jonathan especially after some injustice was then meted upon him regarding Governors forum, that not withstanding Amechi was very instrumental in bringing the defeat of Jonathan, in fact Amechi played more role in the defeat of the PDP back then than any other individual.
3. Financial Support to the APC: Real Men don't kiss and tell but it is visible to the blind that Chibuike Amechi made and continues to make sizable financial contributions to the APC.
4. Total Loyalty to the Party and Mr. President: A man of Amechi's Calibre is not to be taken for granted, former two term governor of Rivers state, the second most valuable state in Nigeria is not a child's play, a super minister yet had not been heard to be making trouble, I give it to Amechi on loyalty.
5 Ministerial Sacrifices: Amechi was the super minister of transportation and he used his office as unbiased as possible, building railroad across the country especially the North, that is great sacrifices given that the North needs more rail than the South given much land, the South on the other hand needs more Seaports given ample sea access and we are seeing some reopening of some ports.
I know Amechi deserve whatever consideration and when it comes to capacity to deliver, he is not also lacking. I hope we don't miss Amechi for APC. the only reason why Ameachi moved to APC was because of the fight with Johnathan. He had no choice but to move. He was compensated with a juicy position for 8 years. His inability to keep his political structure is his fault. |

Tinubu and his urchins should be packing their things to SDP.
SDP hierarchy is about to get their own share of the largesse from Lagos funds.
Meanwhile, 2023 is promising to be a tough election…
Atiku as PDP candidate
Amaechi/Onu/Osinbajo/Nwajiuba as APC candidate
Kwankwaso as NNPP candidate and
Tinubu as SDP candidate
Who go win? Tinubu should join Kwankwaso in NNPP. |
