butterflyl1on: Practically everyone that has commented here is an atheist, except myself and maybe one other person.
What I see here is a gathering of people who dumped morality and became atheists just to roll in immorality and justify their immoral acts by trying to convince one another that it's not a bad thing. Anyone who listens to these lot and takes them seriously would only have themselves to blame eventually[ Looooool You do know Christians that fornicate don't see anything wrong |

Christianity Etc › Re: What Is God's Body Made Of? by urahara(m): 9:28pm On Jan 11, 2018 |
Fegelfire: What substance is God/Allah made from?
If a divine being with intelligence created the universe, that means it would have to be something other than nothing. (Stating the obvious here)
With this in mind, what would God be made of? Christians and Muslims tend to give varying answers on where God/Allah actually is in relation to us and the rest of the universe. The three most common claims I've seen are "god is in another dimension", "god is actually in all of us" and "stop talking to me".
But wherever god's location, what substance would he have been made from? Would he be made from baryons, like most known matter in the universe? Would he be composed of exotic matter? or Dark Matter? How would he have functionally created the Big Bang? If God/Allah is intelligent (from what the Christians and Muslims tell us, omniscient), then surely he would possess something akin to a nervous system like animal life, or a computer. What kind of known matter outside electrons and baryons can sustain such a system? Why would he exist this way?
Which leads to another question.
Where did God come from?
If god/allah is made of some substance, where did that substance come from? How and why was god/allah omniscient? Are there other gods that came before Allah? Was Allah born? Does that presuppose some sort of celestial reproductive system? Is Allah simply eternal and, if so, why is Allah's eternity believed at face value, but the idea of an eternal set of universes unreasonable to muslims and christians? (google "Big Bounce" .
....See how silly God seems when you subject them to a little inquiry? Nice writeup |

bumi10: Why Do Thousands Of Churches Differ In Doctrine While They Read The Same Bible - Daddy Freeze
It has always been a question in my heart or should I say mind because I can't understand. Either you are a Roman Catholic, a Methodist, an Adventist, a Jehovah Witness, a protestant etc, we all read the same bible yet we are not and have never been the same.
Why is that? Was Bible created to be contradictory? Was it a deliberate art to make sure people don't understand each other? Why is it so?
Daddy Freeze shared the below picture showing the write up that has in many years eluded the understanding of men.
daddyfreeze The confusion has always been there, I just help to bring it to light!
One GO said if you don't pay tithe God will curse you, a G63 driving pastor said if you don't tithe there is no curse, illustrating his opinion with some weird astronomy doctrine, while another former private jet owning past president of 'Christianity' said "You go die o" and they say I'm the one causing the confusion.
Whats your take on this topic?

Christianity Etc › Re: Does Evolution Negate Design? by urahara(m): 5:47pm On Jan 10, 2018 |
johnydon22: Such a person must come to terms that only design imperfections and flaws need upgrades and modification. You can only modify or upgrade when you realize that something can get better.
So such a person must do away with fantasy thoughts and attributes like "Omnipotence, Omnipresence, omniscient" for what ever he argues designed man.
Such characteristics are elusive and are subjects of fantasies. For evolution to be a tool of God's design has an implication that suggests God is learning and unlearning with experience just like every other designer.
Because an omnipotent, omniscient being who wants to create a perfect model, knows every possible way it can be done by virtue of omniscience and has the ability and capability to do this by virtue of omnipotent.
So such a being can create a perfect model one needing no upgrade or modification because none will be necessary.
perfection transcends modification But alas they haven't come to terms with that. |

johnydon22: No.
Just highly advanced. For the fact there is room for his creations to modify and change, evolved and repair shows a lingering flaw in every evolving model.
Perfection has no room for modification as it is the precise concept. So how do Christians who support evolution deal with this |

AnonyNymous: I have a feeling you probably think its wrong because you grew up religious, and its an idea that's been drummed into you over and over again. For example, many African/Nigerian atheists still find homosexual relationships disgusting and 'evil' because they've grown up believing that and its hard to shed those ideas. Logically, they might concede that its natural as its found throughout other animal species and there's nothing specifically wrong with it, but they just can't shake that feeling off. It could be the same for you and your belief that premarital sex is wrong. Its very hard to shed values that you learned in your childhood. So how did u shed such values off |

Islam › Re: Is It a Sin To Place Holy Book In A Hotel Room? by urahara(m): 12:55pm On Jan 09, 2018 |
martinlooter: Hello Nairalanders,
I am a manager of a big Hotel that just opened new in a high brow area. So, I decided to place copies of the bible and Koran for my guests to enhance their comfort and easy access to their religious affairs whenever they want to. however, some days back, I had some Muslim guests take up lodgings in my hotel, hence some two days after they checked out, I got a surprise invasion of about 50 Muslim youths chanting some Hausa words that I didn't understand, when I was called out, I sought to find out the reason for their chants, they said I was desecrating the Holy Quaran and their religion by placing the Korans in my hotel rooms where all kinds of abominable things happen. that they would not tolerate that, either I retrieve the korans and hand it over to them or they will set fire to my hotel. I called my director, who called in the police, after a protracted deliberations, I was told to retrieve the Korans but i didn't hand them over to the youths. at which point the policemen dispersed the protesting youths, after convincing them that I have removed the korans from all the rooms, leaving only the bibles. I am now wondering, what is so different between the Koran and the Bible that it is not desecrated, instead it tends to prick peoples conscience when they want to commit any evil acts and see the bible, they have a change of heart. why did they have to threaten to commit arson just because of a harmless and profitable decision that I took. I need to understand this, guys, I want to read from you, did I do anything wrong by my actions? should I also remove the bibles as I have done to the Koran? clerics and religious experts, let me know your opinion on this. thanks Loool You didn't do anything wrong. That's just how Muslim's behave |

KingEbukasBlog: I didn't support evolution because I was a progressive creationist . It's not rocket science . I changed my view because I discovered good reasons to accept it . Not that I'm obdurate that evolution is true , I'm just open to the idea because it's rational . Alvin Plantinga , William Craig were all open to it and I'm an ardent follower .
Stop giving yourselves any credit . Discussions with atheists here have no influence at all . I've always been open-minded , been an avid reader of books , always trying to add to what I know in any branch of knowledge everyday .
But have you noticed that atheists now understand that religious skepticism is not atheism . They now have knowledge about the deists and other non-religious theistic positions . The reverse is actually the case : I'm the one influencing you . The bolder is true |
