Some say that God not only exists, but longs to have a meaningful relationship with each one of us. However, in his infinite wisdom, God decided to hide from us--forcing us to rely on faith to believe he exists.

One problem with this strategy is that once we resort to faith, we can believe ANY god exists or many gods exist and, with only faith to go on, it's hard for anyone to prove us wrong. This is rather like giving us a special dice with not six faces, but a few thousand faces--with a different god inscribed on each face.

So God allows chance to decide who will engage in a meaningful relationship with him and who won't. It's pretty obvious this doesn't work very well. After 3,000 or more years, people still worship many different gods. And even those who believe in God have widely varying beliefs about what he is like, what he wants of us and his plans for us.

Furthermore, people are increasingly moving from faith to sense and deciding there are no good reasons to believe God exists.

Hiding from the people you dearly love is a ridiculous strategy and you don't need to be omniscient to figure that out.[/b]

1) Speciation occurs within limits. Usually at the genus level, probably may happen at the family level given hybridisation but never past that.

2) Living fossils are fossils of species still alive today that have remained unchanged over supposed vast time periods.

3) Lifeforms are dependent on interdependent organ-systems. Therefore a change in one tissue or organ requires changes in other organs. For instance, a change in the respiratory system would require a change in the nervous system which signals it. This precludes gradual change of a species over time.

4) Random mutations are rare and beneficial mutations even rarer, also their frequency varies in some parts of the genome which would mean they are rarer there. This stands against the idea of random mutations being a viable mechanism for evolution.

5) Not all parts of the genome are tolerant to random mutations. While there is some tolerance given redundancy in the genetic code and DNA repair mutating some parts of the genome involved in crucial functions can lead to the death of the organism. This also stands against the mechanism of random mutation.

6) The assumption that similarities across different species is proof of their shared ancestry is unjustified. Even within a species, such as humans or dogs, you can have similarity with different ancestry.

7) Virtually all lifeforms are based on a genetic code in their DNA. Codes require foresight to build since they involve symbolic representation and imposing arbitrary rules for communication. This could not possibly evolve via random mutations. In fact, scenarios for the evolution of the genetic code typically assume its arrival through a putative mechanism.

Fossils cannot be used as evidence of evolution since one cannot determine ancestry by examining them. Even in humans one can't determine trace geneologies by examining bones or human traces, how much more so for other species.

9) Vestigial organs don't prove evolution they assume it. Even if an organ truly has no function, that doesn't mean it must be a vestige of an ancestral species. We can only infer this if one has actually observed an organ going vestigial in species. Furthermore, most if not all, cases of functionless vestigial organs have been rebutted by research which revealed such organs had function.

10) Evolution ultimately rests on the notion that natural processes can generate complexity unaided. But observations show that Nature is highly limited in the type of complexity it can generate, usually self-repeating patterns like clouds, sand dunes or crystals. Nothing that begins to approach the complexity seen in life.

Life is not a choice between Atheism and Christianity. Theism, which is the direct opposite of Atheism, has many religious streams : Islam and Christianity are merely the youngest, and their rise in numbers is a consequence of their hunger for conquest.

Atheism and irreligion is only a natural response to a society that is oversaturated with religion - where there are more churches than healthcare centers on many streets, where major highways can be blocked in the name of worshiping the violent Abrahamic Gods of our slavemasters, where Pastors use the Bible to rape the poor and downtrodden.

When church membership in Nigeria begins to drop, know that the country has started taking the first steps to progress.

To be honest I don't think it's necessary to be even arguing about this, since we drifting into the onto... argument instead of the moral argument. And the first question is whether or not objective morality exists.
If yes then only then question of God comes in.

GOD is the Creator of and not a part of the universe, and so you cannot prove He exists by employing skeptical empiricism. Just like no amount of study you conduct on a building will prove that it's architect exists (assuming the identity of said architect is in question).

Look all around you, you will see proof of GOD's existence.
