At the bolded, wtf are u saying dude? Even the most ardent Mount supporters have called him out for his poor decision making in the final third yesterday..

Mount and Havertz were both poor in final third decision making yesterday and they should both be criticized. Not criticize one and cook up excuse for the other
I did say selfishness not poor decision making.

Thank you for this second image, pictures they say pics a thousand words, I thank God this did .

User09 over to you, come and tell us how Lukaku was Offside. grin
God forbid I speak on still images

Modified: read my earlier comment again. I ddnt say he was offside, I meant if he had made the pass when he should, he would have been.

Remember I spoke on the momentum of the ball not being perfect for a one-time pass

There is nothing wrong with Mounts decision not to pass which the usual naysayers here made the highlight of criticism. The golden rule as to whether to pass or not is whether you have the opportunity to get a shot on goal yourself. Mount is clear through on the keeper with his own opportunity to score in the first picture. He has a right to take that shot.

The Havertz one is the second picture is a more clear cut example of poor decision making as Havertz did not have an opportunity of his own and must play in the striker.
U've started again with this still image bullshit. U'll probably fit in well in the same referee academy those clowns yesterday went to

The only reason why I didnt heavily criticise Mount yesterday was cos the result was still manageable.

Mount's decision making was one of the worst yesterday and I'm surprised no one has called him out for his selfishness. Taking unnecessary stupid shots when he should pass. The boy probably thinks he's the second coming of Lampard'. I'm not even gonna talk about the regent vibes he's been giving off for some time now

He hasn't played a single game well since the CL final. Yet

Unfortunately, I'm starting to see a pattern with James in big matches that's worrying.

Against City in the ucl final he was involved in a penalty call for handball, Last game against Arsenal could have given away another pen ditto he actually conceded one last season against them and today, well.....

He needs to be more alert at all time

This.

For every bad game Jorgi has, His midfield partner is usually worse. When the midfield collapses, looks like Jorginho gets most of the blame. Besides, I thought he was very ok in the second half despite being heavily marked

Another thing being ignored is he played all through the game with a knock

Andrea pirlo is my all time favourite player, nobody makes more reference to Micheal Carrick than myself when talking about great DM of the game,my mouth is always full of Busquet praises, you don't get to see me criticise xabi Alonso, i call out anybody trying to undermine john mikel obi's abilities but somehow na me dey used to combative DM because I dont agree jorginho is up there with the best grin grin grin

Make I just dey look
I think u romanticise a lot of things and forget the whole point of a regista. Of course he's no Pirlo

At the basic level he's an anchor - something Jorgiboy really excels at.

That he doesnt give elegant passes or in your words "doesnt take risks" - which I think ure wrong BTW is not what he's meant for on the pitch.

Those passes u say he doesn't take are the ones with exposed lanes. U've got ball carriers for that. This is a team sport and we must be better than our sum

Absolute rubbish. What makes you think anytime a player hates an escort, they must love an agbero? I protest this miscategorisation.

Nobody hate and fought against the idea of a Bakayoko and Ramires on this thread more than me. The way I'm picking on Jorginho is child's play compared to how I picked on those two.

My preference for DM is good on the ball to progress the ball, receive it without losing it in dangerous areas, and fast enough to allow the team play high up the pitch without worrying about counterattack.

Jorginho fails the speed test (allowing his defence to get attacked one-on-one) and lacks the ability to hold the ball under pressure either (a.) often losing it under pressure eg West Brom or (b.) hiding in the game so as not to receive the ball under pressure, allowing the opponent to dominate the midfield (eg Spain match). Anybody that disputes these two facts about Jorginho deserve flogging.

Jorginho is just lucky this season that Euros aligned with UCL. Donnaruma saved his arse multiple times
in penalty shootout if not you won't be here crowing like he has proved himself. He hasn't proved nothing. If Donnaruma allow just one of those penalties in, everybody will forget Jorginho unlike Kante whose UCL performance was clear to the blind.

You even went as far as miscategorising Popizaino as the type that like agbero DM when his favourite DMs are Busquet, Carrick and Mikel. I don't like those DMs due to their lack of speed, but they are head and shoulders above Jorginho in point (b.) which is receiving the ball under pressure and that's why Jorginho fail popizaino test.
Take this up with UEFA.

Jorginho has wedged his name in the history books and moreso Chelsea's irrespective of what you think

It is managers job to praise their player but those who know what the bolded means recognise TT is calling him a community DM.

If I don't park the bus or create a structure around him so as not to isolate him, the guy is useless.
Community DM my ass. Are u having a laugh?

How important must he be if the whole structure revolves around him?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by User09: 8:26pm On Aug 26, 2021
I Always loved Jorginho. I think he understand the fundamentals of space and football but never did I imagine him being the very first from Chelsea to win the European Player of the Year.

Not the best physically but works his ass off always. Never complains, EVEN when booed by his own fans for whatever reason. A true professional.

Not surprised by Ibime and popizaino, all used to the English football style who think that players that sit back should be tall, strong and tackle hard - the good old English way, if you are not ticking those boxes, you will get critiqued every now and then when you make a mistake - It'll be blown up. It's just not part of English football (maybe Carrick) and generally they don't understand how to value it. Ask Napoli fans, Highly rated , that boy

Another ignorance displayed by his critics is well captured in TT's comments on him below.

"He lacks, if you isolate him or watch him separately, the pure physical ability that makes him the number one candidate to be a number six in the Premier League. "But once you have him in a structure, he is very well organised in his game, he organises all the environment around him, which helps him then, when everything is organised, and then he can show his true abilities in controlling the rhythm of a game."

For those who mention Verratti as being the reason for the Euros. I would excuse their ignorance in not paying attention to the team. What was obvious to me was Verratti had his role altered and dropped because of Jorginho. Not a coincidence, he's the first name in both Chelsea and Italian midfields. He’s extremely integral to the way Chelsea and Italy move the ball. With the insane minutes he's had in the last year, he's been top class

Fully deserved, Jorgiboy.

At times I wonder if I watch the same match as the commentaries on here.

I don't understand how Kovacic below par effort isnt really criticized for that game. Dude left so many acres of space and was wandering, Also saw him get dispossessed a few times; Hell, he even missed key movements during certain instances of Lukaku hold-up play. I also saw more long balls from Jorginho than Kova so I wonder if its not availability bias from the Lukaku's goal that's playing here

There were moments in the game the midfield was utterly bypassed; This wasnt the best of games for Jorgiboy, but if anyone should get blamed for the mediocre midfield, Certainly should be Kovacic; Sure, he's very good at progressing the ball, but he gets stringed along by the opposition way too much. Dont even understand why Jorgi-Kova combo always struggle against Arsenal
