Christianity EtcRe: Little Boy Branded A Witch In Uyo, Abandoned On The Streets (Disturbing Photos) by utioh(m): 10:30am On Jun 12, 2022
There are witches. And wizards too. Old folks, children, young generation and what have you. All of them can be possessed. And the power can be used for destructive purposes. To deny this is to doubt the existence of the spiritual world. Seeking proof is tantamount to ignorance.
However, children who possess witchcraft should not be abandoned. It is evil and foolishness to do so.
Some children are falsely accused. And it's worrisome.
When you have Jesus Christ, you don't fear witches and wizards. You don't fear occultic people.
Look, NOBODY, I repeat, nobody can kill you if Jesus Christ does not approve it. He is the giver of life. Why the fear?
PoliticsRe: APC Targets North’s Bloc Votes, PDP Rules Out South West by utioh(m): 4:29pm On Jun 10, 2022
TheFacelessMan:
Tinubu should take a strong Muslim Northerner as VP - Zulum or El Rufai, the former, less controversial hence more preferable. He will definitely win that way.

The only move PDP can use to counter this is a SW Christian VP. But there is no formidable SW politician in the party.

Mark these words, SE will NEVER be united behind Obi. I am 90% sure he would barely win Anambra, not to talk of 5 SE States. He will lose the rest.

Atiku needs not court SS and SE, they are forever devoted to PDP.

Otherwise, Atiku will be mercilessly flogged by Tinubu.
In Nigeria, elections are won by those with a big war chest who control men on the ground.
For the past elections in my polling unit, you have no choice but to vote PDP and collect 5k. You might be beaten if you vote and celebrate APC.

My point is, whosoever Tinubu chooses as VP is meaningless. 2023 elections favours him cos of many factors.
If people are allowed to vote their choices I bet he can't even come third.
In a free contest Atiku would defeat Tinubu hands down.
PoliticsRe: Presidential Primaries: APC, PDP Narrow Race To 9 - The Sun by utioh(m): 9:12am On May 21, 2022
dochenaj:
If the primaries are going to be determined by who has enough money to pay delegates then it will go to Tinubu and Atiku.

If it is by who has the best chance at winning for their party it should go to Osibanjo and Atiku.

If it is by who could be a better President from their party, then it should go to Osibanjo and Obi.

It is however only my opinion and you are free to have a disparate view.
You are 100% correct.

Still, PMB's sole desire is to personally handpick his successor who of course would be somebody from the APC.
In that regards, all fingers point to Lawan. And I see him emerging as the standard bearer, a development that would further disunite the party.

As for PDP, Atiku will find it EXTREMELY difficult to win the party' s ticket. Even if he does, winning the general election would be even harder.

Only Peter Obi can SUCCESSFULLY challenge and contend with Buhari's upcoming planned rigging.

Make no mistake, Nigerian politics and election is not what you see elsewhere.
Buhari doesn't care what happens as long as his plan is actualised. He's no way ready to hand over power to the PDP.

And I repeat, only Peter Obi - who has supporters cut across the main parties - can spur people to get their PVC, line up and vote for him.

As for me, I'm not in anyway alarmed. Because I know Nigeria's next president will be chosen by God Almighty.

And only Him alone, knows the man.
FamilyRe: My Friend Needs Help, Six Children No Male Child? by utioh(m): 11:35am On May 16, 2022
Notyourtype:
Hello Guys,

Is it even possible to have up to six kids without having a male child?

I have a friend, who wanted to have only 4 kids. He's now counting six and will count more because he has refused to have a male child.

When the wife gave birth to the fifth child, then my friend was very anxious to having a male child. But as soon as the news got to him that his wife gave birth to another female child, he send a message to his wife at the hospital not to come to his house with the child. He said his wife has a curse on her, that is why she refused to give birth to a male child. We had to beg him before he allowed his wife home.

The issure now is that his wife just gave birth to the sixth child again today, and another female child. He his just very confused right now.

He just told me now that people says the fault his not from her wife but rather on his side. And he want me to help him on what the problem is.

Pls nlanders, what do you think is the problem, and how can he give birth to a male child?
Children are gifts from God. If you can't have a particular sex, it is not bad.

If he knew the 12th child will be boy would he keep on procreating?

I have a family friend that has 10 male children including three sets of twins.

I also know a pastor that has five female children.

Please he should stop at six, except the drive is not to have a male child.

Christians can still cohabit with Muslims. Dividing Nigeria isn't the solution. We need to stay together and preach the Gospel to them. That God (Jesus Christ) fully paid the price for our sins and has reconciled us to God the Father. For there's no other name given under the heavens and the earth through which man can be saved apart from the name of Jesus Christ. We have two options: either to choose eternal life by believing in Jesus and accepting Him as our Lord and saviour; or to choose eternal condemnation and separation from God Almighty.
There's ONLY ONE route to salvation: Jesus Christ. Confess and forsake your sins and believe in His name.
If you are already a Christian, be reminded that God says we should respect and submit to one another; we should love our enemies and pray for those seeking our downfall. Let's also be reminded that vengeance is the Lord's. For we all must be repaid according to how we lived our lives while on earth. May the grace of the Lord be to us ALL.

I read all u and u are spot on exept on the hashtag.
It seems u dont know the reason for hashtags. U r not alone so many nigerian hashtag users dont know the reason too.

Hashtags makes our posts seen when someone clicks on same hashtaged word in any other post or comment. Hashtaging in Nairaland is waste of time. But in twitter & facebook it is good and can sell ur point(s) or view to someone who has no connection with u.

There is no rule to how many words one can hashtag but it is important one hashtag words other people can freely use except when a word or combination of words is trending.
#Hashtags mainly work on #Twitter, #Google+, #Instagram..

On other platforms like FB, it isn't that powerful!

The phrase there is 'over using hashtags'.

Maybe you are yet to see some annoying posts with 'too many ##################################'

Good.
So how will the revolution possibly play out?

Who will be the spearhead? Opposition (PDP) or the masses (NLC)?

Or a coup d'etat?

Chuksemi:
ASUU and NLC are the most useless bodies I have seen. They have been striking since the time of Adam and Nigeria hasn't changed yet.

ASUU went on strike during Jonathan's regime because tetiary institutions were under funded and they weren't paid good salaries. Today, the universities are still underfunded. Some schools have a serious lecture hall problem. The only thing that came out of that strike is the salary increment. Talk about selfishness.

NLC going on strike each time they hear fuel subsidy removed is ridiculous. Do they expect the federal government to pay subsidy forever, do they want the federal government to keep paying subsidies till our grand chilldren inherit debts that would shock them and put them in a state of shock induced strokehuh?? Instead of them to fight for provision of palliatives to soften the initial effects of subsidy removal. They are fighting blindly, ableit selfishly for their own pockets again. And what's worse, some people are applauding them.

I do not understand how a country as big and diverse as Nigeria is faced with too many problems. Too many. Yet the only solution that comes to their limited thinking horizon is Strike.

Strike hasn't helped us, and we keep using it. Common sense evaded those in power truly.

View my signature for more atrocities commited by ASUU and Rochas.
If Strike hasn't help us, as you have said...
What do you think is the right thing to be done?

Or Government is always right... All the time?

Or should we be more patient?

Or should we suffer in silence? And hope the next Government would be better?

What do you advocate for.. I am curious to know.

Thanks!!

U still remain an Illusionist.

I see things in black and white. That previous govts were more corrupt, doesn't give GEJ any free pass. I voted and stood to be counted for him, through all his early travails, because I felt he had a dream for our Nation. U cannot admit his frailty, and still declare him d best. Govts av been robbing us, even b4 d europeans. Why should he not be above all that?

I'm praying PMB doesn't stoop that low, but if/when he does, I'm not sparing him either!

I was taught to work for money, nobody is teaching d current generation. No morals, no conscience, no credible leader. I might not be able to change d world, but I'll effect my little part in it, and will definitely not be counted amongst pple who would encourage its destruction.

Those humans who bested d machines, actually factored more moves than d m/cs! The average human brain has always had vaster capacities than d best m/c, we just aren't all blessed with d ability to access it at will.

Mr All-seeing-eye, I c u.
That somebody is the best doesn't mean he is flawless, without any defect. I hope you get the point!

Now assessing PMB's rule so far, would you sincerely give him a pass? I would be amused if your answer is yes!

Lastly, if you were to side one party, between Stockfish and Magnus Carlsen, or let's say any renowned GM you deem fit, which side would you choose, in a 3- round game! Tell me.

U're a Master Illusionist!

So, ur hero GEJ had fantastic vision by allow his adminstration to divert funds ment for arms to secure d North-East from BH and protect some quality lives- ok, since they are not Niger Deltan lives, just abo-ki, they don't qualify for ur peace initiative abi?

My surprise is that; u sound like a good chess player, but u'll never be a champion chess player sha! Too biased to really factor in all moves! Me, I'm just not ruthless.
My friend, always try to refrain from bringing in ethnicity when it comes to sensitive National issues bordering on Security.
That being said..

I didn't in any way exonerate GEJ in the Arms deal saga. To put it short and simple, he failed Nigerians in many unthinkable ways!
Nevertheless, he's still my Best! Of course that is my opinion. Let us see if PMB can rewrite that in days to come.

Maybe you hold the notion that GEJ is the worst... That is up to you though! But You would be shocked to the bones if you knew the level of corruption that transpired in Past Governments.

Think about this... If PDP had continued, would all these revelations be exposed to light? A resounding NO is the answer!

Thumbs up to the present administration. But PMB is fighting Corruption 'selectively'. So it quite worrisome when some well known 'thieves' are even being praised and celebrated, while their accomplices are,......... you know the rest of the story.
However, it is better than fighting 'selectively' than being complacent.

We have Northeners who are involved in the Arms deal. Does it mean they don't care for their people?
When Niger Militants destroy pipelines, is it not their properties they are destroying? What is the property of Government? Who are the government? You and I are the government! It is our money, our sweats, irrespective of our states of origin!
So anything that befalls the eye affects the legs!

So please the issue of regionalism doesn't come in here!

Just to add: A Champion in chess isn't one who can factor in all the moves, because even notable Engines that can do that are many a times humiliated by humans!

Thank you!

The only thing that unsettles my mind about this Government Tompolo's issue is the envisaged loss of innocent lives! Who, perhaps, would have had better and sound visions on how to steer Nigeria to a safer place!
Saying 'God forbid' is nowhere enough.

PMB is using the pretext of Corruption to tramp down, crush and Silence his political foes! Anyway in Nigeria, apparently, that is how to rule! Deviate from it and you become a 'GEJ'. But when it(''fighting corruption'') has a bearing with innocent lives, I think a sane Leader ought to thread with care! That is why GEJ has remained my best President so far, for caring about the peace and stability of our dear Country. Our Present Government, so far, has shown us quite the opposite.

I am wondering if you have ever been hit by a Tragedy before! Now imagine having to suffer for what you know nothing about. Or let us say someone so dear to you is the one involved.

You don't still get my point?

Flash your mind back to Nineteen ninety nine in Bayelsa!

You see?

Most people take life as, say a game of Chess! They gamble by making dubious moves without calculating all the possible variations, and never care to weigh the consequences!
After being checkmated on the board, Life goes on! I tell you.

In reality, after being "checkmated" you might not "live" to tell the story!

Somebody should advise PMB.

God bless Nigeria & give us Peace.
