The inland taipan is actually the world's most venomous snake. The black mamba will closer to 10th place on the list. |
Which kind story be this one? There's no such rank as Lance Corporal in the Nigerian Navy. |
If you've seen an electric car charging port/ station in Nigeria I'll really love to know. It simply doesn't make economic sense to buy an electric car in Nigeria at the moment. Where will you charge it?!! Besides the guys who buy Ferraris, Bugatti et al are super rich and can afford to fly their cars abroad for maintenance. Apart from the super rich geeks of silicon valley no super wealthy individual buys an electric car. |
Defenestration, Somnambulism, Dirigisme, Agoraphobia. |
There's a difference between a thief and a robber. A thief steals with his hands while a robber steals with a weapon (in other words robs). Please change your headline. |
Speak for yourself please |
This one na old story na. What rock have you been hiding under. |
DreamersVille24:How could the prosecution have started before this administration when Jonah Jang had immunity as Governor till 2015 when this administration came in?!! You may not agree with the administration but please state the facts as they are not as you want them to be. |
His counsel's name is Robert Clarke and not Robert Clarks. |
Personally I'm usually irritated by the man but he seems to have made a lot of sense this time. Personally I've always said that if the North and their suzerains in the Middle East practised tolerant Islam the way that the Yorubas do, there'll be no such thing as terrorism. The wives of Fashola and Tinubu are deaconesses in Redeemed Church just to mention a few. You can never have that in the North, the Middle East, North Africa and the Sahel. Such intolerance is what's plaguing Islam in the North. Unfortunately such intolerance has crept into the Church, particularly the Pentecostal Pastors some of whom sincerely believe that they're doing Christianity a favour by preaching and propagating hatred. |
Unfortunately the more members you've acquired, the more unserious and bigoted the articles and comments on the site have become. There are so many baseless stories that make the front page it's quite ridiculous. There was always the option of following Linda Ikeji's blog or some other gossip blog if we wanted such news but to a lot of us nairaland seemed a better option cos is was so much more mature. Unfortunately that's not the case now. As if that wasn't bad enough nairaland continues to allow ethnic and religious bigotry to thrive on the site particularly with respect to the comments. What does it cost to ban someone who has no regards for the sensibilities of others??!!! But for the auto section and some other more informative sections and the lack of credible alternatives for now a lot of us would have left nairaland. You guys have done a great job over the years but nairaland is fast losing its appeal for a lot of us. Please you guys really need to wake up. |
"Laser fever"? Hmmm. |
The Chinese are a people not a language. Chinese people speak Mandarin, Cantonese or a host of other languages but they don't speak "Chinese". |
Cosplay:Chai!! You really nailed this one. |
Cosplay:Abeg let's try not to be deceptive. There's nothing relative about the phrase 'brand new'. Brand new means straight off the assembly line, anything else is not brand new plain and simple. |
Would your own state employ a Yoruba man?! If your state won't employ a non-indigene, why then are you complaining? |
Hmmm, Recordmeister!!! Madrid go hear painful today. |
Abjay97:What kind of rubbish talk is that? Is it the leaders that beat up the referee?!! If you have nothing to say please shut the f... up. |
DeadRat:Both |
dododawa1:Abba Kyari is Kanuri not Hausa. |
So it's now "gunmen" not "Fulani herdsmen" because it happened in Zamfara State?!! Every attack in Central and Southern Nigeria is blamed on "Fulani herdsmen" but when it happens in the North they are simply "gunmen". This kind of irresponsible and divisive journalism must stop. |
Hmmm. Won't be surprised if someone is just putting the tree back up to catch some fun. |
I read through the whole article and I didn't see anywhere where he identified himself as a herder. When the kidnapper, robber, murderer e.t.c. is a Northerner he's automatically identified as a fulani herdsman if the person is from another part of the country his identity is not revealed and he's only identified as a criminal. When will we stop this idiotic profiling?!! |
I think it's pretty clear that we Nigerians don't like being told the truth. Even when the truth stares us in the face we look for every excuse to believe it's a lie. Buhari has cannot rule for more than 8 years yet people want to destroy their country cos of their hatred for the man. He's on the other side of 70 for crying out loud. |
If indeed the story is true may the child's soul rest in perfect peace, amen. But then it baffles me that you don't seem to know that it's a canal not a gutter. Canals are wider and deeper than gutters so I can't understand how according to you it was "carelessly constructed". |

God bless you. Anytime I see a well researched article on nairaland I feel so glad cos unfortunately there's so much trash on nairaland. More grease to your elbows sir. |
Were you drunk when you wrote this? |
So Kunle is trying to secure his investment and perhaps earn more money. I can assure him there's an easier and better way of doing such things. |
I thought the touring model is the actual full option Honda Accord. |
Do you mean Ikorodu Road or Lagos- Ikorodu Road cos I believe they're two different roads. |
You probably started watching football yesterday. It was a fantastic goal but any football fan would list a couple of goals better than that 1. Ibrahimovic's overhead goal against England which was actually scored from outside the box; 2. Rooney's goal against Mancity; 3. Maradona's goal against England which required greater skill and technique. 4. Messi's goal against Getafe which also required greater technique; 5. Zidane's goal against Bayer Leverkusen aka "Bayer Neverkusen"; 6. Van Basten's sumptuous strike for Netherlands (please watch that goal on YouTube). I could go on and on. Like I said it was a fantastic goal but you really need to watch football beyond the players and teams you support. |
The general law is that the landlord is responsible for the fixtures while the tenant is responsible for the fittings. Fittings normally go bad due to wear and tear caused by constant usage. I believe the pumping machine qualifies as a fitting which should be the responsibility of the tenants. If on the other hand the problem is with the borehole which is a fixture then it would be the responsibility of the landlord. Most tenancy agreements usually contain a clause that says that the landlord covenants to keep the house in a tenantable condition, fair wear and tear excepted. Simply put, if the problem is with the pumping machine and not the borehole then you guys should contribute and fix it. |
