"Mr olonishakin" is a four star general in the Nigerian Army. Please show some respect for his rank. I'm pretty sure he earned it. |
Kindly adjust your headline. Mrs Oluwatoyin Bashorun was only shortlisted for the rank of SAN however the rank of SAN was never conferred on her. |
How on Earth did this madness make it's way to nairaland. It appears Seun has truly lost it. |
Why are you people so stupid and unserious?!! |
Isn't it obvious to you that it is photo shopped?!! |
Dumpkof!! |
The Simpsons. Simply the greatest cartoon ever. |
You need to be really, really careful when posting such stuff. The guys who brutalized those guys committed murder and the Police would presume that whoever took the photos also participated in the murder and would make all attempts to arrest the person. Be careful pls. |
Jeff Bezos: Religion- none Net worth: $97bn Bill Gates: Religion - none Net worth: $90bn Mark Zuckerberg: Religion - none Net worth: $75bn Elon Musk: Religion - none Net Worth: $21bn Aliko Dangote: Religion - Muslim Net worth: Africa's richest man. Some of the wealthiest persons on Earth are not Christians so paying tithes doesn't even arise when referring to them. Tithing is clearly biblical, there's no question about that. However I sincerely wish that the Church will concentrate on the weightier things of the law as Christ admonished the Pharisees to do. Tithe is a personal covenant with God and I sincerely believe it ought to remain so. |
Did you greet him on his own birthday? Rubbish!!!!! |
The story sounds a bit far-fetched to me cos I sincerely doubt that the President can appoint the D-G of the NIA without the approval of the Senate. |
Please who's the FOOL that put this on front page "!!!!!!!!! |
Why the heck do you guys find it so difficult to write simple tenses in English. At least you must have gotten some basic education in English. What the heck is the problem?!! |
The Banks are just living fat on forex profits. No one is interested in doing real retail banking business anymore. Hope the next CBN Governor is someone with a solid background in economics like what obtains in other climes not another banker who'll be sympathetic to the banks. |
I believe they are called agnostics not atheists. Agnostics believe there may be a God but that there is no conclusive proof of God's existence. Atheists believe there is no God simpliciter. |
chinedubrazil:I believe the answer to 8 should be 11 people. The 20 eyes belong to the 10 people who looked at the person who dropped the book and the eleventh person is the one who dropped the book. |
Seems like they don't want to state the obvious fact that their sales are falling because they are facing serious competition from AB Inbev otherwise known as SABMiller in Nigeria whose Hero and Castle Light brands are really eating into NB's market share and profits. |
Governor Rochas Okorocha actually studied law at University of Jos on a part-time basis and obtained his LL.B sometime between 2003 - 2005, I can't remember precisely. That was before the Council for Legal Education and NUC banned Part-time law. Though I believe he never attended Law School. |
There's a difference between"the world's most expensive home" and "the most expensive home ever sold". I believe this house falls under the latter caption. The world's most expensive home is the Antilia which is owned by Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani. It is valued at over $1billion which would be well over N300billion at current exchange rates. |
I believe that's the car the emperor of Japan is driven in so even if you want to buy one it's not likely it'll be sold to you. |
Judges of the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court are actually called Justices. It's Judges of the High Courts who are referred to as Judges. |
Please there's nothing weird about your number 9. In many developed countries and even in Nigeria it's illegal to own a TV without a license. In Nigeria issuance of TV licenses is the exclusive preserve of Local Governments or Area Councils as is the case in Abuja though the law is certainly not complied with. And in case you didn't know, you also require a license from the Local Government to own a dog in Nigeria. |
Ezigbonmadu:Thank you so much for your incisive comment. It's been a while I read a truly intelligent comment on Nairaland. I sincerely think that Nairaland Forum also needs some competition so they'll sit up. |
Abuja has a central purification system somewhere around Idu. |
My brother please don't say what you don't know. Abuja has a functional sewage drainage system within the city centre. Ask around. |
So Atiku Abubakar is the Governor of Kebbi State? Hmmmm |
Please how can a so called "Union" which is not even recognised by law go on strike?! This is simply ridiculous! |
Harmless abi? Go touch am na make you know how far na. |
The imbecilic fool speaks again. |
Splashme:I am pretty sure you have never seen the four walls of a courtroom so hold your peace. The Justices of the Supreme Court didn't fall from Heaven, they were all elevated from the lower courts. If you are in Lagos kindly attend a court session presided over by Justice Candide-Johnson and whenever you are in Abuja do find time to attend a court session presided over by Justice Kutigi. Open your mimd. |
The Chief of Defence Staff is a General not a Major General and the Chief of Naval Staff is a Vice Admiral not a Rear Admiral. Kindly correct your caption. |
It appears you did not look at the content of the cheque. It says "Pay United Bank for Africa 20 million naira" meaning the cheque is made out in favour of of UBA. |
