It's 20 million dollars not 40 million dollars. |
Since you had to ask the question, I'm not really sure you studied law because you want to make a career out of it so it's a bit difficult to answer your question. I would advise that you take some time out to figure out what you really want to do with your law degree. To make it in any of those jurisdictions you mentioned you have to identify an area of law that interests you and become really good at it. Immigration law should be a big deal in Australia since they have really tight borders and those who want to immigrate would need the services of immigration lawyers. Corporate law is very lucrative in America but the way corporate law is evolving there you'll either have to have a numerate background or have a pretty good understanding of financial instruments such as derivatives, credit default swaps e.t.c. As others have pointed out N2million won't do you much good in either of those jurisdictions. It appears you have a desire to make money pretty fast so I would personally suggest that you use your N2million to get an MBA at Lagos Business School or procure a Masters degree in law with a bias for finance such as International economic Law, International Finance Law, International Commercial Law or something of that nature. This would give you a good footing in the world of finance and you can take off from there. |
You left out the elusive and media shy Amancio Ortega, the founder of Inditex Group and the world's fifth richest man. |
Last time I checked Hitech, that's the same firm that built Banana Island, is owned by the famous Chagoury brothers. Tinubu might have some stake in Hitech but he's not the owner. This is lazy journalism at its best. |
What kind of irresponsibility is this?!! I passed that area this morning and the "remove" signs placed on those posters was pasted by the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) which likely means that they didn't pay the requisite dues. APCON is not a government body rather it is the regulatory body for advertising practitioners just like you have NBA for lawyers, NMA for doctors, ICAN & ANAN for accountants and so on. What on earth has that got to do with govt or APC and PDP?!! Most of these things are just a google search away but then it's obvious you already made up your mind to spin a tale. |
wiseword316:That's because he's a guy. |
A good man who unfortunately can't just admit that he messed up. He really should just bow out of the scene and maintain his reputation. |
Adedibu v. Ladoja, Emeka Offor v. Mbadiniju, Chris Uba v. Ngige, Jim Nwobodo v. Chimaroke Nnamani, Chimaroke Nnamani v. Sullivan Chime, et al. |
Bangladesh, India?! That's funny, last time I checked Bangladesh is a sovereign country with about 170 million people. |
I wish you guys would just humbly state the facts as they are. Several media houses including the BBC have carried stories for the past couple of months of the killing of Fulanis in some West African countries particularly Mali. It's not a Nigerian thing. Don't make it look like one just to attract traffic to your blog. |
Please stop spreading unconfirmed stories. You guys just pick up rumours from the gossip pages of BBC Sport and other websites like goal.com and come and paste it here without confirming whether or not it's true. There are several ways to confirm whether a story is true. Always confirm before you post them as being authentic. One of the best ways to confirm sports stories is to go to the sports page (not the gossip page) of BBC. Once it's posted there then you can be almost certain it's authentic, if it's not posted on their sports page then you can almost be certain that it's a rumour. |
What kind of nonsense is this?!! You guys just go to BBC and pick stuff and come here and alter it. What is contained on the BBC is a poser; is this the most beautiful girl in world?. When you copy and paste please post the correct thing. |
What's the big deal?! South Korea is an industrialised country yet the South Korean Won is about 1200 to the US Dollar. Low currency valuation doesn't necessarily translate to a bad economy. |
cyndy1000:Ghana redenominated its currency some time ago that's why. Before then the currency wasn't worth much. |
Mercedes-Benz tried it with the Maybach but failed. What makes you think Toyota would succeed where Benz failed in the Ultra-luxury market?! |
Old story. He has been the richest man in the world for the last five months at least. |
strangest:The figures you're quoting are from the 2014 elections. They were most likely doctored to look as though it's the 2018 election result. |
Copy copy. Don't forget to give football365 the credit due to them sha. |
bedspread:Because you're the one that shipped them abi. Rubbish. |
Yeah! Some of us have been advocating this for a while. Even did a post about it on nairaland sometime back. |
Hmmm, Na wa oh! Na dis guy wey resemble palm wine tapper wan run NFF?! |
When you work for an organization your rights are actually limited. Even in the U.S. if you criticize the Govt particularly when you make incisive remarks you're out. |
How exactly does a guy get an erection if he's drugged? The story doesn't add up. |
I believe he was already a multi-billionaire before he became a Governor. Even a child knows that he owned Fair Plus travels and other businesses. He's certainly not a saint but at least let's stick to the facts. We really should be sincere with ourselves and stop being unnecessarily partisan. |
Any right thinking organisation would have fired him immediately but alas Vanguard Newspaper is a shadow of itself. Rather unfortunately the newspaper has become a purveyor of ethnic hatred and bigotry. I sincerely have no idea how a revered journalist like Mr. Amuka allowed this to happen. |
"Nigeria has witnessed more suicides in the last four years than since independence". Where did you get your statistics from?!! Please understand that there's much more information on display than at anytime in the history of the world but that doesn't mean that things are worse than ever. All this unnecessary exaggeration must stop for our country to survive. Order do you have another country? |
Abuja is more conducive for living, Lagos is more conducive for business. Plain and simple. I've lived and worked in both cities so I know. |
And you think this is funny?! Did the guy create himself? We really need to respect one other in spite of any perceived deficiency. |
How e take concern you now. Is it you they are pacifying?!! |
How nairaland would allow such insane crap to be posted really beats me. But then we all know that nairaland has lost all courage and the admins have become a bunch of disgusting cowards. |
If I recall correctly the President of the International Criminal Court is a Nigerian. Secondly the constant accusations of selective justice against the ICC is quite lame. The ICC like any other court usually doesn't go fishing for people to prosecute instead cases are referred to it by individuals and organisations. Most of the cases against African leaders, politicians and military top brass being prosecuted by the ICC were referred to the court by Africans who felt that their judicial systems were too weak to prosecute brutal and despotic leaders. Several Nigerian groups including IPOB have reported the Federal government to the ICC. Let's stop playing the victim everytime and concentrate on finding lasting Solutions to our myriad of problems. |
