I sincerely thought "his husband" was a grammatical error. The devil is slowly taking over Europe. |
I wonder whether a Nigerian television station has done an indepth expose' on Innoson Motors. That's how the newspapers waited for The Economist to do a profile of Jobberman before they copied the article. Nigerian journalism is a bit lame sha. |
Please amend the caption, his name was Dikibo not Dokubo. |
I grew up in Jos so I was enjoying the your article until I realised that you best pictures are not pictures of Jos. You really didn't have to do that. |
For goodness sake why do we behave like this. This same picture was posted on nairaland some weeks ago and we were informed that the it was a Nigerian living in America who designed it. Do we really forget so fast?1 A little research would solve a lot of our problems. |
And most pastors of The Lord's Chosen Church are Igbos, is that also right? |
mrkayusfit:Are you serious??!! First you put loudspeakers outside your mosques and disturb us as early as 4.30am and you say street evangelism should be banned?! You block major roads during Friday prayers and you say street evangelism should be banned??!! I have heard several inciteful preachings by imams but it has not provoked me or any Christian I know to commit acts of violence in the name of religion. For crying out loud some stupid director made a film called Jesus Christ Superstar which was actually a mockery of our Lord and Saviour but no fatwa was declared on his head. Dan Brown wrote the Da Vinci Code which is pure blasphemy but again no fatwa was declared on his head, now that's a religion of peace. You don't hear people singing "Christianity is a religion of peace, Christianity is a religion of peace" because even a blind, deaf and dumb man doesn't need to be told that Christianity is a religion of peace. If a Christian mob kills a muslim such action will be condemned outrightly but here you are trying to justify the actions of a beastly mob. There's no excuse for such barbarism, none whatsoever. Even the crusades which several terrorist groups use to justify their actions are widely condemned by every true Christian because Christ never told anybody to wage war to win converts. You preach to people and let the Holy Spirit do the rest. You cannot expect to encourage people to respect your religion when you continue to justify such barbaric acts. It is not enough to croon that Islam is a religion of peace, you must take up the mantle of seizing your religion from the hands of such debased people and you cannot do that by giving them tacit support. |
Pretty cool ride. It's a Chevrolet Impala incase you forgot the name. |
locosis007:It must be a joke and a very bad one at that or else you certainly were not alive or mature during those dark Abacha days. You probably have DSTV or some sort of satellite TV in your home, that was only for the rich in those days. You probably sent in this quote from a mobile phone that David Mark unashamedly said was only for the rich in those days. You have internet which only the occupants of Aso Rock could dream of. You are probably eating a hearty meal with two pieces of meat while writing this quote when most of us who lived through those times had to make do with boiled and dried soya meal as meat. Please don't say what you don't know much about lest the gods get really angry with you. And let no one give me that crap that the Naira was stable then and fuel was cheap cos you had to be amongst the priviledged few to own a workable car and generator to bother about the cost of fuel. |
robosky02:Bros it is simple economics. You can't pay N100,000 naira as school fees and expect the same facilities as someone who pays the equivalent of over N5,000,000.00 per session. Please remember that Cambridge is a private institution. As long as we continue to think that we can pay peanuts as school fees and receive first class education we will continue running on the same spot. Quality education is not cheap anywhere in the world and that's a fact. Even countries like Germany and the Scandinavian countries where education is virtually free make up for the cost by paying sky high taxes. How many people pay taxes in Nigeria?! |
My guy for goodness sakes this is an EOD and not a Bughatti Veyron. Why would I call you to get the price of a frecking EOD when I can get it from Berger or Kubwa. Pls wake up and smell the coffee!!!!! |
Haba bros why na, this is obviously a Gaboon Viper and not a Puff Adder! |
From all indications na only you been dey look the babe. Everyone else seemed to be minding their own business. |
Ubiaja is in Edo State not Delta State. |
Why do you guys keep doing this. The guy says he will resign in October for crying out loud!! |
All those calling these animals Leopards una no do biology for school?!! The heading is correct, the animals are Cheetahs not Leopards. Their lithe and athletic bodies are built that way to enable them attain great speeds. Leopards are a lot stockier which helps them climb trees with their dead prey. |
With capacity to carry 30 passengers abi. I give them 6 months and the danfo drivers will be carrying 70 passengers per vehicle. |
Bros na wa for you o! You see baby crocodile na him you dey shout like this if you see him papa wetin you go do na?! |
bigboss80s:Please is your own car made in Nigeria?! |
I GUESS IT'S PAYBACK TIME! |
adegunwa4real:Unfortunately I think you are the one getting the whole "tithe" argument wrong. Paying of tithes is clearly a Biblical injunction as can be gleaned from Malachi 3:10 and other scriptures and there can be no argument about that. But please sit back read the New Testament and ask yourself the question we all should be asking ourselves; if tithes was top of Christ's list as it is on the list of most Pastors lists why is it that Jesus Christ did not mention tithes more than three times but He mentioned words like "love" several times over. Paying tithes is a Biblical injunction but it is not enough to take you to Heaven. Let's set our priorities right as Christians and preach the Word as Christ preached it. |
The owner of Tottenham Hotspur football club made a fortune from trading forex, several bankers particularly those with a bias for investment banking have made millions from forex trading. Forex trading is a completely genuine way of making money but as we all know it is not for the faint hearted and it's certainly not for dull minds. Banning forex trading promotion on nairaland frankly does not make sense to me but then that is my own opinion. Speaking of sports betting any one with half a brain is fully aware of the risks involved in betting of any kind yet people still engage in it. Banning it on nairaland won't stop people who like to live life on the edge from taking a gamble once in a while. |
Fedayeen:Corruption is not stealing - Jonathan |
What arrant nonsense is this, don't you guys have anything better to do with your time !!! How on earth did this even make front page?! |
It is quite a sad situation but certainly not a hopeless one. A landlord has rights but then a tenant also has rights. The first thing you should do is report the issue of threats to the Police and ensure that they intervene in the matter. Secondly engage the services of a lawyer. If you can't afford a lawyer contact the Office of the Public Defender or the Citizens Right Department of the State Ministry of Justice, they should be able to help. The Tenancy Law of Lagos State clearly states the procedure to follow where a landlord wants to evict a tenant and if I remember correctly a tenant is entitled to damages of N250,000.00 where he is forcibly evicted by the landlord or where the landlord damages the property in order to forcibly evict the tenant. Don't stress yourself too much, just engage the services of a lawyer and I'm sure the threats would cease. |
mauriceju2:There's a word for it and it's called transparency. |
Nice one though I think number 5 is the headquarters of Total Upstream. |
I feel for D'tigers but they should remember that a good deal of the money doled out to the Eagles comes from funds given to the NFF by FIFA. I don't think FIBA gives the NBBF anywhere near as much money as FIFA gives the NFF. I'm sure footballers in Angola would also complain that the country's basketballers are being paid higher bonuses than them. That's the way the cookie crumbles. |
We must accept that there are differences in both religions and move on. The Bible is clear that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. In other words Jesus and God are one along with the Holy Spirit and Christ is the way the truth and the light and no one can see the Father except through Christ. On the other hand the Koran says that there is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his prophet. There is a clear distinction between both religions and let's just accept our differences and forge ahead. Haven't you guys noticed that in most recent stories of "ritual killings" it is always reported that other body parts are missing from the victim? Organ theft is one of the biggest and most brutal underground businesses in the world. Most of these guys simply steal those body parts usually associated with ritual killings so people don't realize that the real reason for the murders is to steal those vital body parts in high demand such as liver, kidneys, e.t.c. Murders resulting from organ theft is a global phenomenon and we must realize the true nature of these murders in order to tackle them appropriately. |
There is certainly no doubt that auntie Okonjo is the most qualified Minister of Finance Nigeria has ever had. However, the issue I've always had with auntie Okonjo is why she allowed so much looting to go on under her watch. She was as powerful as the President in the previous administration and she could have threatened to resign if the looting was not curbed but she never did. She had by far the best chance of any Finance Minister to ensure that the economy of this Country and by extension the well being of the average Nigerian was improved exponentially but sadly she let that opportunity slip through. Sadly she would always be remembered as the most qualified Finance Minister who missed the opportunity to write her name in gold in the annals of Nigerian history. |

!!! How on earth did this even make front page?!
