It was still this Adichie woman that praised Bihari last year when he won the election, saying GEJ Regime had failed her and everything crappy about GEJ ... She's now speaking against Because her tribes people are being killed....
let's stop this behavior and stand for the truth...we need writers like her and Soyinka to preach to Nigerians to see the light... what has Adichie done to effect moral and social development? apart from loaning us extremism of feminist ideas?

Doesn't she have a husband? I mean the mother in law? Loisemm: How many of you would not mind your mother Inlaw who just retired and is not sick or needing medical attention come and live with you and hubby permanently?! My friend's mother Inlaw is planning to do this. My friend is not comfortable with it at all but has resigned her mind to it.
The mother Inlaw often visits them and spends weeks and months with them even though she does not get along with the wife. The wife told me the mama never wanted her first son to marry and would have preferred he continues to bear children outside wedlock. He had a child before marriage. They have children of theirs now.
Sincerely, I can't undastand the rationale behind a mother moving into her son's house without invitation or permission. Is it fair?
Note -she has a married daughter o. Is it not better for her to live with her daughter if her and her daughter in-law dont get along? This lady now has strong cause to believe the mama is out to break her home. Would she now be receptive to her coming to live with them permanently? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did You Stop Going To Church? by uzoexcel(m): 7:30pm On Oct 09, 2016 |
On point...especially as per the Koran zicoraads: Laveda...come and confess
Personally, I am at a crossroad. First, I grew up attendinwg our 'traditional' church, all this language churches. My grandfather attended, my parents are attending and we too must attend. But I had to sit down and ask myself about my spiritual life, and I realized I don't have any. Truth be told, sometimes, attending that church leaves you more angry. And when you are not in church on Sundays, Mom would want to kill you with calls. Now though, I just stay indoors and pretend I'm ill. And thank God she hasn't decided to visit my house one of these Sundays.
Secondly, I am starting to totally lose faith in religion. I am not one of those who claim the non-existence of God. I know God exists. My problem is I am starting to think the mode of worshiping him shouldn't be as a Christian who goes to church and a Muslim who goes to mosque. Sometimes, I even believe the Muslims have a better way of worshiping him. Forget the religious fanatics, I have read the Quran and I can authoritatively say that the Bible contains too many inaccuracies compared to the Quran.
That being said, religion has created too many problems in the world than we care to admit. Maybe we would have been better off worshiping God the way we deem fit than having so many religious groups complicating our lives. |

Christianity Etc › Re: The Bible And The Human Race. by uzoexcel(m): 12:57am On Oct 06, 2016 |
Nice one plaetton It becomes quite suspicious when the Noah story is ever present in at least several 'histories' of different ancient races...for example the sumerian history give a better account if the great flood... plaetton: In as much as this is supposed to be a joke, I do take exceptions when folks ignore simple grades school biology and acheological evidence to brainwash themselves just to suit a preferred belief system.
I already knew from grade school that the first human life arose from Africa, south eastern Africa, to be precise. There are tons of indisputable acheological and scientific evidence that support this.
For Anyone who may have skipped school on the day that it was taught in class, let me do you all the favor to rehash it. HUMAN LIFE DID NOT EVER EVER EVER BEGIN IN THE MIDDLE EAST.
Is that clear enough?
Second lesson is on simple genetic biology, which I am guessing most of you skipped while it was being taught in school. Here I go again. All HUMAN RACES DESCENDED FROM THE BLACK RACE. BLACK DID NOT EMERGE FROM ANY OTHER RACE.
It is genetically impossible to mutate from white skin to black skin. The reverse, mutation from black skin to white skin is what is obtained in nature.
Therefore, if Noah was as white as snow, according to the bible, then it is BIOLOGICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for the black race to have descended from Noah.
Third lesson for today, the flood event, even if historical, occurred 10,000 yrs ago, at the end of the last Ice Age in the Northern Hemisphere, when perhaps melting ice glaciers flooded parts of the Northern Hemisphere.
Yoruba culture alone is more than 11,000 yrs old. Humans, black skinned humans walked the Earth 200,000 yrs ago.
Why is it deemed extremely necessary for black people to deny known history, deny known biological science, deny clear archeological evidence, just so that he/she can fit himself inside the myths and legends of stone age middle easterners? Why why?
C'mon people This is 2015, a post enlightenment era. Are you people permanently stuck in a time warp? Are you the people that time forgot?
If you missed some essential lessons in school, then simply avail yourself of the unlimited information on the Internet. No other generation before us had as much access to free knowledge and information as this generation. There is no excuse to remain ignorant.
Lastly, The bible is NOT A BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE. It is a book of myths and legends upon which the religious FAITH of one particular tribe ( certainly not your tribe ) of humans are anchored.
SUNDAY SCHOOL IS NOT SCHOOL. |

Politics › Re: Peter Obi’s Speech Sparks Social Media Debate - Vanguard by uzoexcel(m): 10:27am On Oct 02, 2016 |
Tell them bro.....I just wanted to ask the obi and obiano e-wArriors one question... 'is it not possible to like both obi and Obiiano at the same time?' Olaposiwaju: You don't need to tear down Peter Obi's achievements in order to praise Obiano. The important thing is that Anambra is moving forward at a very fast rate. You cannot condemn the substructure (foundation) of a building only to start saying the superstructure is excellent. Did you watch or listen to the speech at all? He mentioned four key areas of his administrations achievements, savings through cutting of cost, education, MDGs and creating access (road). He also came with a lot of facts and figures making it easy to verify or debunk. While he is not a perfect human being like you and I, if what he said is true, then my respect and regard for him sky rocketed after watching the speech. Lets not loose the objective of it all, cost of governance was and he reduced it, not diverting the money but saving it for another who you do not know what he intends to use the money for.
Lastly, I lived in Akwa Ibom for 5 years and the best part of my trip through the south east was always when we journeyed through Anambra because of the good roads (and this was mostly during Peter Obi's tenure). Once we leave Anambra, na full body massage till I reach Akwa Ibom. |

Why is this thread dead goodgood2: Op, I no go lie, I gbadu your write-up. You're so spot on. I'm a silent guy and I like being alone. That part of me seems to scare the ladies around me. Speaking of being intellectually ahead of ladies, I put so much effort to equip myself- read books, watch movies, try complex maths, and THINK.
I once dated a very pretty lady. There was a huge gap between us and she didn't feel secure in the relationship. I seemed to know everything she did in the recent past, how she felt at a particular time, when she was lying, her likely actions after a particular incident... For her, she was my prisoner- and I behaved like a Psychologist who was using her to further his experiment, not like her lover. I understood her very well, read her the way I read medical books...Again, for her, it was more or less a psychological warfare, and I was miles ahead. She didn't like it. I pictured that she would not fit into my plans. I'm very ambitious and hardworking, while she's lazy and believes her looks and bottom can get her what she wants. I told her I was going to leave her, and I did. I liked her so much, and as a matter of fact, I still melt when I bump into her and nearly breakdown when she smiles at me; but I can't get back to her. Strangely enough, that hurts so much. While we were together, I tried to help her out, by way of encouraging her to read books, teaching her all kinds of stuff and engaging her in intellectual discourse. She didn't really welcome that. I want the world to know that I still love her, and that I'm hurt. |

If you can afford a one bedroom flat, why not get a 2 bedroom flat where you and a friend share the rent but everyone has a room to himself...that way u ensure a little privacy but still u have someone you can gist with in d sitting room from time to time!!!! ghettowriter: I have both stayed alone and had a roomie stay with me for a while but honestly nothing beats having your parsonal space to yourself.even If you are lucky to have a Good roomie, it feels good at first, but along the line, you start to miss your alone times and you start seeing ur roomies weakness.
