The Happening. |
Seriously?! |
I am about to start a riot in here, well here goes: 1. Fela - Even in death, his lyrics are still relevant today and can be easily related to the world i live in. Nigeria's greatest musical composer and pioneer of Afrobeat 2. Asa - African soul and jazz at its best. 3. M.I - great lyricist.Nigeria's Hiphop messiah. 4. 9ice - i love his use of the Yoruba language, folklore and proverbs in his songs. 5.Naeto C - 6.DBanj - an entertainer with club and party bangers. 7.Wande Coal - surprised me on his latest album - nice vocalist. 8. Paul Play - sometimes simplicity is always best. He's a great musician. 9. Illbliss 10. Mode9 11. Terry the Rapman 12. Sound Sultan 13. 2Face. 14. Faze 15. Jesse Jagz My Over - rated list: 1.Ruggedman: seriously? 2.Mama Gee 3. Banky W 4. Dare Alade 5. Sasha 6. Tony Tetuila 7. Xproject 8. Olu Maintain 9.Weird MC 10. 2shotz 11. Timaya The Worst: 1. Dewaves - WTF?! One million pounds? yeah right. Thanks for providing evidence for future litigation and lawsuits dumbass 2. ?? - the idiot who sang that friggin stupid ass song about getting his house maid pregnant - Ekaette!!!3. Any 9ja artist who makes it rain with dollar bills or pound notes, wears garish bling, uses the word " Swagga" wears a thick leather jacket and sunglasses indoors, brags about their fake lifestyle and sings or talks in a very nauseating and fraudulent "yankee"accent deserves to be on the worst list. |
The XBOX 360 is still trucing PS3 in worldwide sale figures, the Xbox Live is far superior to your PSN - even PS3 fanboys including yourself have complained about it. I won't gloat about XBOX 360 RROD if i were you, i am sure you are aware of PS3's Yellow light of death, most importantly your console is still playing catch-up. The best selling console at the moment is the Wii. |
My gamertag is ThaShaft08. At the moment i haven't got COD4 yet as i am still playing BORDERLANDS, HALO ODST and FALLOUT 3 DLCs. Feel free to add me. |
The part with the child who died after been bathed in acid, the photos had me going ![]() |
Helen Ukpabio is finished. She will never win the case £800,000? is she having a laugh? |
I am watching. ![]() |
@ Sapele Guy Thank you for the link with house prices in Peckham. Besides the OP lives in Los Angeles, i can point him in the direction of Compton, Watts etc. |
I love the Irish, gave us Guinness Stout ![]() |
Please check the average houses/flats prices around Peckham Rye Park,Nunead, Dulwich, Forest Hill and Denmark Hill -. No be moi moi. People who own or rent properties there are laughing all the way to the bank whilst some people here talk out of these arses. Peckham High Street is not the entire Peckham district. |
@ Beknown Thanks for the links. I was tempted to go out to Peckham Rye Park to take photographs and then upload them here. I am presently dossin' about on the sofa in my unwashed glory as i have been home all day, watching telly, contemplating if i should go on my 360 before wifey gets back from work, too lazy to go into the kitchen for food, well f*&% No!! i am not burning 96p worth of fuel or an ounce of energy walking either on some illogical, flawed and myopic view of an area. |
If education is expensive, try ignorance. Dump? that's quite harsh? Sorry love, i live in a part of Peckham( some will argue it is Peckham) and it is NOT a dump. In that case i can call Maryland a dump as well? |
As someone who lives around Peckham, i can say the picture you have tried to portray is not entirely true. The video is of one part of Peckham High Street and the area is a SHOPPING DISTRICT, It is not the whole of Peckham. The population is predominantly African Carribean and is NOT infested( Nigerians are not pests or an infestation please) true you will find lots of Nigerians shopping there because of the availability of Nigerian products and services like any other part of the world. The areas around Peckham Rye Park are beautiful and the houses/flats go as much as £350,000, as someone who is also presently house - hunting, i can tell you i have been around Nunhead, Elm Grove, Forest Hill and Dulwich, areas around Peckham Rye Park are lovely, houses or flats there expensive no be moi moi. Expensive because of closeness to transport links and the city. Nigerians need to visit other Nigerians in affluent areas of London,no be only Peckham, Elephant and Castle, Brixton dey London!! i will not knock anyone for where they live, it's a choice and a matter of economics. It is may not be Kensington and Chelsea but it is okay. Na who no go no know. |
*Yawn* Another one of those threads/topic. Is there no end to this? And what are the moderators doing exactly? |
WTF? seriously? Sometimes i wonder about these subtle digs at Nigerians abroad? I am not going to be dragged into this one, Nigerians abroad simply refuse to accept and applaud mediocrity as norm. Nigeria can do better. The whole world is watching. If i may here are two quotations: ""Now my friends, I am opposed to the system of society in which we live today, not because I lack the natural equipment to do for myself but because I am not satisfied to make myself comfortable knowing that there are thousands of my fellow men who suffer for the barest necessities of life. We were taught under the old ethic that man's business on this earth was to look out for himself. That was the ethic of the jungle; the ethic of the wild beast. Take care of yourself, no matter what may become of your fellow man. Thousands of years ago the question was asked; ''Am I my brother's keeper?'' That question has never yet been answered in a way that is satisfactory to civilized society Yes, I am my brother's keeper. I am under a moral obligation to him that is inspired, not by any maudlin sentimentality but by the higher duty I owe myself. What would you think me if I were capable of seating myself at a table and gorging myself with food and saw about me the children of my fellow beings starving to death". 1908 speech "Where justice is denied, where poverty is enforced, where ignorance prevails, and where any one class is made to feel that society is an organized conspiracy to oppress, rob and degrade them, neither persons nor property will be safe" - Frederick Douglas |
@ Mahal I didn't buy Op Flashpoint, i am really tempted to buy this game but i am trying to finish three games at the moment: Borderlands, Fallout 3 DLC and Halo ODST. I must agree with you there are a lot of excited people out. |
@Sauron £64 |
@ Sauron: Hardened edition? How much did you pay for this luxury, sir? Girlfriends and wives will be complaining from today about how long their spouses spend on COD:MW2 ![]() |
@ Lexyman and Sauron: Have you guys started clocking hours on the game yet? |
Have you bought and begun playing it? please share your views. The game is set to break all records and the previews looked stunning and gameplay seems intensive and enjoyable. I had some colleagues sneak off at midnight to go buy the game at the stores that opened that early. Please let us know the cheapest price the game is being sold and which retail outlet or shop it is currently available, apparently there is a £174 stand alone edition of the game i kid you not!!Modern Warfare 2 pre-orders top 4.5 million 4:54PM, Tuesday 10th November 2009 Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 launched last night and it looks set to be the biggest entertainment launch in history with over 4.5 million pre-orders taken on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The previous highest-selling game was GTA IV, which sold over four million copies on its first day and 5.92 million in its first week. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is expected to sell between six and seven million copies in its first week, which should generate revenue of around £300 million, which is more than any entertainment product in history. Modern Warfare 2 is also the first game to have a movie-style premiere at a cinema in Leicester Square cinema. Self confessed Call of Duty fanboy Vernon Kay hosted the event at the Vue cinema, where he told the audience that "[Modern Warfare 2] will be the biggest entertainment launch of any game ever." The release will likely see a boost in console hardware sales, as Activision has teamed up with Microsoft to offer a number of Xbox 360 bundles, including a limited edition console with a Modern Warfare 2 skin. For those still looking to get hold of the game, it's likely to be difficult, but Sainsbury's and Morrisons have the best deals at the moment. Both Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game are on sale for just £26, although Sainsbury's lists it out of stock with no indication of when it'll be back in stock. Your next best bets are Tesco and Amazon, where the console versions of the game are available for £32, while the PC version is under £30. Xbox Live gamertag - ThaShaft08 |
@ Blandish You are really hilarious! Good to know my mother has balls and that you were a cheap and lousy lay!!! May i suggest you grow a set then and pull your skirt down? You amuse me, go play by nearest expressway and suck on a car exhaust . You throw names around and insult people and then dare to suggest that you are being targetted or abused? what a cry baby!! I have made my point and i am by no means an easy target. I am not going to plumb the depths further with you, i have made my contribution towards the topic but had to challenge your behaviour. My people having a saying that when you start arguing with a lunatic, no one can tell the difference. I am not going into who i am, what i do for a living or where i live or what i drink or my sexuality they are irrelevant however Sir, know this, I am proud Igbo man from Delta State and i lived in Nigeria most of my life - i have seen how toxic views such as the ones you hold can be. Let me re-iterate, go read a book and educate your mind - you dumb f*%^k!! Words such as Paki, Chinko, half caste, mulatto are NOT acceptable and they are racial slurs, they have no place in modern society as everyone tries to build understanding with all nationalities or ethnic groups or communities. You are the weakest link, goodbye. Freedom is a road seldom travelled by the masses - Malcolm X |
@ blandish. Millionaire? Employs 35 people? You are obviously the village idiot! I don't see Bill Gates or Dangote boasting about their wealth on social networks. You're are obviously suffering from an inferiority complex and what's up with the obsession with the male Instruments and ramming in places? Were you sodomized as a child? Papa and mama no buy you bicycle for Christmas? Or they did not love you at all? Perhaps you were that kid in the playground with lice no one wanted to play with? |
@ Blandish You've got some nerve, spewing all your infantile bollocks!! Let us use your downright stupid and highly offensive racial slurs the other way, let me bring it home - so it is acceptable to be called Colored, N@*&er, porch monkey, spear chukker ,sambo and so on by some white people because it is not meant in a bad way? Please you need to move ahead with the times, it may have been acceptable then but it damn ain't acceptable now!! All the racial references you have used so far on this forum has been deeply offensive and unacceptable, it has been pointed out to you several times and you still insist on throwing words like that around. The moderators need to step in here, it has gone too far. I will not condone any racial abuse,if it was up to people like you, Obama and the rest of us including Nigerians will be probably picking cotton on some farm Half- Caste? do we operate a caste structure? go to India and look up their class or social hierarchy, half of what? are you from the prehistoric age? i bet you still drag your knuckles as you walk along!! Freedom of speech DOES not give you the right to racially malign , abuse or stereotype people,it is exactly your kind of attitude that will land you in serious trouble, ignorance is not an excuse and do not think you are anonymous over the internet. I'll give you a bit of homework, next time you meet all those people refer to them in those terms and see what happens; you'll definitely get a beating within the inch of your life and most likely get arrested by police- that is the real world. I am not going to engage in email tag match with you, go read a book and do something productive with your time. |
Superbad. The Hangover. Drag Me To Hell. Dark Knight. |
I saw it half way and had to turn it off to watch Eastbound and Down. It was a load of utter crap. |
Don't know what happenned to my last post, I'll give it another shot so please apologies. I choose to criticise or analyze issues affecting Nigeria because it is disheartening to see Nigeria become a laughing stock. If you are fortunate to travel, explore and live in other developed countries i am sure like myself you will ask yourself this question: why can't Nigeria be like these places? I live in London, any parties or barbecues you attend will always have Nigerians discussing about Nigeria, it is always a highly charged subject and i know one or two people who are always nearly in tears about the sad state of affairs in Nigeria. Some people have chosen to not talk about Nigeria anymore because the subject is too painful. Wole Soyinka mentioned in an article that we have become a nation of sycophants and perpetual praise singers in the face of ineptitude, some Nigerians will praise mediocrity in spite of the truth staring us in the face, for who long will our politicans continue this awkward dance? In Nigeria simple necessities of life are a luxury, my family and friends suffer from epileptic fuel shortages, inadequate or non existent power supply, poor road conditions and so on. Make we continue to dey holla, swagga, notin dey happen and maga whilst other nations and its citizens forge ahead. Please stop asking why Nigerians abroad cry out because we love Nigeria. |
I find that word "Half Caste" very offensive, i have nieces and friends who are mixed heritage and i take that word as a racial slur. It is obvious some people here are clueless as hell. What's wrong with marrying a white person? if that's exactly that kind of mentality that keeps pushing us back and pulling us apart. What's the hell is funee? sir, we call that an accent - acquired, learnt or natural. |
Here we go again! People need to give this Nigerian abroad vs Nigerians in Nigeria a rest, it's old, immature and played out. I am going on a rant so please bear with me as i am addressing some posters here and it's slightly off topic. Who made some of you spokepersons for every friggin' Nigerian in the UK and gave you the audacity to look down on some people just because in your little minds, you are deluded to believe you are truely better than these Security Guards or people doing menial jobs or married to white women? Most of these guys are providing for their families, paying their way through gaining an extra qualification and own a property or two. If the UK is so depressing, move the hell back to Nigeria!! I hate it when people who were opportuned to be here turn round and slate the country!! pisses me off. The ones who claim to be high flyers in London are actually nobodies who gain perverse pleasure in running down other people. Why do have to hide behind a computer and come here to brag about your non existent or fake lifestyles? I will have married a sexy blonde buxom chick if i wanted to, my choice and &*%$ you think!! who are you to judge?! |
It was only a matter of time considering there have been outbreaks in most parts of the world. Swine flu can be managed with the right treatment. It only becomes deadly or life threatening if one has certain underlying serious medical or health conditions. The government had better start stocking up on Tamiflu and taking cues from other countries on how to manage any pandemic. |
And if all fails, make love to her like your life depended on it. |
A nice short break holiday or a meal at a nice restaurant or a couple of nights in a 4* or 5* hotel, it doesn't have to be really expensive, keep it simple and remember to listen and to support her. |
?? - the idiot who sang that friggin stupid ass song about getting his house maid pregnant - Ekaette!!!
