So you made the decision to deploy armed officers to the venue an ongoing ‘peaceful’ demonstration by unarmed protesters at Lekki instead of areas where they were confirmed reports of unlawful destruction of properties and killings by armed civilians in those areas of Lagos? |
omenka:Who is ‘bankrolling’ you? |
Tuface just misses the point completely. It is a global socio economy now and closing ourselves in will only retard our growth exponentially. There is also need for healthy competition , after all wasn’t Finntech (owned and developed Nigerians) acquired for 200million recently? There are other numbers of tech and app devs doing great things working in collaboration or partnership with some of the companies you mentioned with nil support from the government. Most importantly, Social media is the last bastion of justice for the powerless, voiceless and the oppressed in Nigeria. The ruling class and their corrupt acolytes know this is our only weapon. Our traditional newspapers and news stations were compromised a long time ago. Content or information is often biased in favour of their owners political affiliations. Allowing the government to regulate or restrict social media is akin to arranging deck stairs whilst the Titanic was sinking. |
HisExcellence:Iphone user thief your babe? Talk true? The hate from your post is comical. Sluts to dating sites and monopolistic reptiles? You are hilarious ![]() |
HisExcellence:Your article shows your bias towards Apple. I find it strange that you deliberately ignored the section from the same IDC report albeit your source which succinctly explains the short term reasons for the decline : “Apple shipped 41.6 million iPhones in 3Q20, down 10.6% year over year, which placed the company in fourth for the first time with 11.8% share. This drop was expected and is mainly due to the delay in the launch of the new iPhone 12 series, which is usually in the third quarter. Regardless, the iPhone 11 series did exceptionally well, contributing the majority of Apple's volume, followed by the SE device. Looking ahead, we expect Apple to grow in coming quarters with strong early demand for iPhone 12 paired with robust trade-in offers across major carriers, especially in the U.S.” Your post was clearly not balanced or objective. |

2023 is too far. In the meantime, let me pay an impromptu visit to his twitter page. Savagery on there is legendary. Dem go drag am tire |
I guess it is back to Nairaland’s scheduled programme reading meaningless crap about yeyebrities. Guess we all need something to laugh about in these times. |
Bakinwuta:If it was his actual lawyer who wrote this hot mess then he should consider a side hustle writing for a gossip magazine. 1. Response from Barr Hamza Nuhu on the Blackmail Attempt on DCP Abba Kyari by a Criminal Afeez Mojeed earlier charged to court. Blackmail is unwarranted demand with menaces for instance I say to you, if you do not pay your rent, I will break you legs or crap all over your house. Where is the menace in the victim’s statement to the panel? 2. Fraudster Afeez Mojeed defrauded 94million Naira From a Victim. He was arrested 6yrs ago and 41m was recovered from the proceeds of the crime which he voluntarily paid the victim(Owner of the money) back directly through the victim’s Account. So did the court convict the victim of the Fraud offence? It is an allegation that he is a fraudster until a judge or jury decides. You should know the presumption of innocence. He was arrested 6 years ago and what happened to the case? 2.He Confessed on Video and in written that he bought Honda Account 2008 model and 7m land from the 94m he defrauded and that he has squandered the remaining 31m on hotels and girlfriends. He submitted the car and land documents which was registered as exhibit before He was charged to court and after some years he was discharged not acquitted from court because the complainant was not coming to court as most Nigerians do. Given the prevailing circumstances especially around policing in Nigeria, it is pertinent to ask, how was the confession obtained? Was it under duress or torture? The complainant did not turn up as most Nigerians do? Is quite a condescending statement and not a fact, the court does not care about your emotions, the claimant failed to appear at court so the police should have sought for a warrant to summon produce the ‘alleged victim’ in court or you should have pre - arranged special measures to ensure his attendance every investigator knows this. This sounds like the police dropped the ball here and it is their problem. Discussing an interview which is strictly confidential could be considered a breach. NBA would frown on this. 3. The criminal will be re-Arrested and charge to court again as he was not acquitted by the court also the complainant has assured the Police that he is in Nigeria now and he is ready to be attending the court process untill his case is concluded this time around because he said he will not leave his balance of 31m to the Fraudster. Name calling once again shows your unprofessionalism. I guess you are trying to win public opinion on social media and not in court. You cannot re-arrest him retrospectively without new evidence coming to light, you said all the evidence is at court so let’s see if this isn’t one of the usual ‘fishing expeditions’ So what mitigating factors made the alleged victim forget his balance and fail to appear at court? Let a judge decide and you are not one. 4. With 50k now a Lawyer can write Pettition for you based on any False allegations you make without prove against anybody and you can leak it to the media and if the person in question have a name or he is known In the country it will sell. But legal actions will be taken because criminals like this cannot try such and go free. If it’s true that somebody ate his 41m what is he doing throughout the last 6yrs, Why didn’t he go to the ICPC, EfCC or Court? Some Human Right Lawyers have declared on their own that they will sue the Fraudster for defamation of character this friday. The above statement throws doubt on this being written by a reputable lawyer or firm. The courts do not care about your emotions or tantrums, prove your case based on solid facts to a judge or jury. These are idle threats. Even the grammar is atrocious and lazy. |
favelli:Start with The Witness by Nichola Tallant. Or watch the docs on Crime Channel? Especially on real police investigations. |
favelli:Dude, that’s entertainment and fiction. Get your knowledge from a wide variety of media. Hard hitting documentaries, movies, US TV shows and non fiction books especially from former cops or detectives. I would highly recommend watching the HBO show titled ‘The Wire’ or my favourite UK black drug crime drama ‘Top Boys’ |
tradepunter:Most of you watch way too many ‘Hollywood’ movies. I had always suspected he is not as efficient or proficient. So one SARS officer and his ragtag band of misfits was able to solve all serious kidnapping and robbery cases across Nigeria? In a country where we do not have a DNA database or forensic laboratories or police national computer? A country were most cases are solved by using tainted evidence obtained under torture or duress? Or sheer luck or happenstance? A country where the elite use the police as their personal attack dogs? Downloading or interpreting phone or cell data or records from a telecoms company is not rocket science, I believe this may have been his little niche or he got his hands on the software and utilized the phone numbers to track kidnappers who were careless or reckless. We do not investigate crime or deter it effectively in Nigeria. There is a distinct lack of common basic investigative skill across the board and we do not even preserve crime scenes. You believe this officer from the worst police force on the planet is some type of Jack Bauer then I have a bridge to sell you in Ojuelegba. |
VillagePeople11:So well said. We need this same energy and I am astounded how Nigerian youths have galvanised a movement, even my elderly dad said to me he is in total support of the protests and demonstrations. God bless you all. You give us hope. |
Some called him Nigeria’s answer to Jack Bauer lol ![]() |
Epistasis:She did not appear very bright. Not talking about her complexion ![]() |
Defund that police station. Exhume bodies allegedly buried there and hire forensic experts. Investigate and apprehend all officers concerned. Public trials of all officers. Their crimes are too heinous to leave that station standing. |
All of them in one building? This is going to be the best venue for the next protest. Citizen arrests. Let them have a taste of what they have done to countless Nigerians. |
Truth be told the ‘meeting’ was an ambush and Davido was not prepared. He got cocky prior to the meeting and got caught with his pants down. He needs to learn how to talk intellectually and develop emotional intelligence. He should have sought advice or legal representation. His PR team were also lacking. The leak is also suspicious. It was done to discredit him in my opinion and he did what he felt was best at the time so I cannot criticise him for trying. |
6digitscomrade:Now seeing the sarcasm in your post ![]() |
So every SARS officer is a qualified expert on forensic analysis of data held on all smartphones? in saner climes this is what we call a “fishing expedition” Goodluck trying your case in court which legitimately has the final say on who is guilty of an offence. |
XXXXTENTACION:And every SARS officer is a qualified and world renowned expert in forensic analysis of smartphones ![]() |
Minjim:Absolute legends. Powerful photos. Aisha and Rinu. No forgetting Mr Macaroni and every Nigerian hitting the streets. Good Morning to you all except the ProSARS turncoats. |
Fahdiga: Billy Butcher’s favourite word lol |
ethicallyright:For someone who claims to have superior knowledge about policing matters and law enforcement, your post shows a comical and poor grasp of the basic universal tenets of policing. Why is the Nigerian Police rated the worst police force in the world on the policing index? |
Maxcollins042:She don carry her big ‘airbags’ enter private jet go Dubai ![]() |
Dude needs serious reprimand. He actually drew his weapon or pistol on the protestor. He actually chambered a round with a display of poor gun safety for others around him. Take his gun off him and give him a desk job. Why have they swept this serious aspect under the carpet? |
Of all the things going on in the world and in Nigeria right now and in these interesting times, washing someone undies or knickers is a topic of discussion on Nairaland? Abeg who do una dis thing? ![]() |
kamikaze01:That’s not true. This case is an assault/GBH with intent and it is also gross misconduct. Ordinarily, the officer should be subject to disciplinary action and sacked. In cases where officers have carried out unlawful acts against innocent members of public, one of the victim’s standing rights is to sue the police and the erring officer to court for compensation or redress. Once an officer goes beyond his lawful duties and commits a crime, he can also be arrested and detained for judicial disposal. As a private citizen, the officer could be sued to a civil court. I know our 9ja policing judicial system jagajaga sha but police officers are not above the law. |
This is becoming tiresome. Absolute bollocks. |
Zetty177x:How you choose to unwind is a personal preference or hobby but comparing BBN and Premiership football is chalk and cheese or night and day sha. |
Zetty177x:As much as I am not a soccer fan, Football or soccer requires skills including cognitive or physical coordination, stamina etc What skills exactly are required to go nude or act crass or engage in coitus for a TV show? ![]() |
Dozis:There are a number of historical research papers which dispel the notion that the practice is alien. It appears such practices became abhorrent with the advent of western religion albeit when colonialists went to plunder and pillage the continent. P.S I am not here to argue about sexuality or the practice. I just wanted to provide some historical context. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/m.huffingtonpost.co.uk/amp/gerbrandt-van-heerden/dispelling-the-myth-that-homosexuality-is-un-african_a_23478498/ http://america.aljazeera.com/opinions/2014/4/homosexuality-africamuseveniugandanigeriaethiopia.html |
