I think you should continue with your job in Ibadan because I don't think the difference in pay is enough to warrant the risk of insecurity and uncertainty (since you've never lived in the north). If you had no job at all I would have advised you to go to Kaduna.

I personally was born and brought up in Kaduna. I don't think it is worth it.

I roofed not long ago o. Parapet plus Woodwork plus aluminium sheets (Metrocopo) plus workmanship was about 2.6M.

Building materials are very expensive right now and most people here don't know it. 4M will not build a presentable house anywhere.

Even if you want to compromise on a lot of things and build a low-quality house (which makes no sense to me cos it won't last beyond a few years), 4M is still a huge doubt.

Yea it will but might not finish the project. Let me show u on how to go about it. If u r building a 3 bed room flat, just tell the engineer to the forming and German floor for u. Then tell him that he will inspect it from German floor to roofing stage which should not be more than 3 or 5k per visit use local Manson for the block work they collect about 40 naira per block.

TBH unemployment is very high right now. A lot of graduates are without jobs and, unfortunately, without skills. The best advice I'd give to young people out there is to learn a skill while in school. It will pave way for you after school.

Again, I don't think unemployment should be a reason why someone shouldn't get a good education. Rather I am of the opinion that your education should be an added advantage to you in any area of life you venture into. For example, an educated businessman should be better than an uneducated one because he should be aware of the tends and latest happening in the business area which should be an advantage.

Times have changed. Build yourself. Most employers now won't even employ you if you don't have some basic skills.

Pls leave the country and plan your way to remain after studies. If you're going to the UK you'll have 2 years after your masters to stay back and look for a job. Your options will be limitless, you can apply for PR in Canada, or go for a PhD in the US or Canada.

Now you are still 24 I believe this is the best thing to do for yourself. Most didn't have this opportunity.

Here his my challenge, my passport expires in Dec 2021 I need a renewal link fast track precisely 7-10days Max. It's been over a week since the immigration attaché reached out to me for submission, right now I feel like every day count. My other challenge is that I just resume a new job in July 2021 I need time to visit immigration office for renewal but my current job is so stressful that even when you step out of the company every other staff will be questioning how did it happen?

I'm not trying to sound pessimistic, but be careful enough to ensure that the job offer is genuine, and pls don't resign or jeopardise your current job for any reason until you have done all the necessary checks. And if you are asked to pay anything, just run away cos it is a scam.

If you are entitled to leave, you can take a few days off and go for another passport.

This is a good development. My fear right now is that when this money is paid it might not get to the communities that have been affected badly by these spills. Na one politician/big man go syphon the money.

Well, if I were your friend, I'd go for the federal Job. The uncertainty in contract jobs is just too much. Even if the contract job is an indefinite one, I'd still advise your friend to go for the federal job.

Summary: Federal jobs give you time for other ventures, the job won't be a stressful one (most likely), job security is guaranteed and you can go for extended leave (for studies etc...), not to mention pension and other benefits.

Very very very disgusting set of people. RN everything associated with Nigeria always has K-leg. Those bunch of foolish officials deserves to be investigated and dealt with thoroughly...

Pls, relocate to Canada ASAP is you have the means. You won't have any regrets 5 years down the line. Many of us didn't have this opportunity.

Yeah, you're right.

The address on the PCC should correspond with your current address in Nigeria for consistency. The delivery address does not matter.

Also, the police report was sent to an address in UK, hence the address showing on the police report is not my current address in Nigeria.

The delivery address does not matter. My police report was delivered to a friend's address in the UK who then sent a scanned copy to me. However, the residential address on your PCC should be the same as your current address in Nigeria for consistency. Also, the timing of the Police report can become an issue later since it was issued the same day you left.

I would advise you to apply for another one just so that you won't have anything to worry about. It is the safest thing to do IMO.

As usual, the Government/military wot act on this intelligence.

I had a similar experience as you. My year of graduation was 2012; WES wrote 2013.

I figured it was because, although I graduated in 2012, my certificate was issued in 2013 (which is clearly indicated on my certificate). So WES used the most recent date on my certificate. I believe that if you look at your certificate you'll find 2009 written somewhere.

When I was submitting my application, I attached all my certificates to my WES report and uploaded them, and I didn't have any issues. I think you should do the same. If you are not satisfied, you can include an LOE to explain the discrepancies.

One of my previous employer say they can't do me the reference letter, I have told them to put it in a mail thou, the good thing is that one of my senior colleagues is willing to sign off one on a plain paper for me but I joined the company before him and he left the employment 1month earlier than me (I hope this is not an issue?)
I need assistance on the self declared format for the reference/experience letter so I will just get it notarize. The formats I have been seeing around is the type that would be on a company's letterhead

Your reference letter does not have to be on a letterhead. When I was about to submit my application, my employer refused to issue a reference letter to me. They clearly stated that letterheads are not for such purpose.

I got a colleague to do a reference for me on a plain sheet of paper. Then I attached my appointment letter last 3-months pay slip and an LOE. That was sufficient.

If your colleague has a company ID card or complimentary card, you can attach it also.

If you have time and resources you can also notorize the letter.

Wes: evaluation completed on october 2019 and got into the pool the same day
CRS score= 523 (bilingual)
ITA: November 14th 2019
AOR: November 23rd
BIO: 5th December 2019
All stages were passed on March 2020.
Since then, no more news from IRCC due to covid.
I think this situation is becoming unbearable will have to turn the page and forget about this immigration issue. Damn.

My AOR was FEB 17th, 2020. Visa office OTTAWA.

As of June 2020, I received my first GCMS notes. All stages were PASSED. My application was AWAITING APPROVAL.

I applied for another GCMS note in February 2021 and it's still AWAITING APPROVAL.

I don't even know what to do. I strongly believe that if not for COVID we would have received PPR a long time ago.

Let's keep believing.
