Most catalytic converters are stolen at the port before they even get to the buyers. My friend had a similar experience. I was told that once it is removed from a car, fuel consumption goes up. I don't know the correlation though... |
specialguest:You need to go to the closest indian embassy to apply for PCC. You'll need a letter of introduction stating clearly where you stayed in India and the purpose of your visit, the time you entered indian and when you left (this must correspond with the stamp on your Indian Visa). Once you make payment, you'll attach your data page, visa page, any other supporting documents like training letter, employment letter (if you have worked there) to your receipt and submit to the embassy Then you send soft copies of the above to cons.lagos@mea.gov.in |
Sycophants everywhere. |
The people ruling this country are empty heads. I am yet to see something they got right. They make the country difficult for people, then they squeeze them to get money from tax, fuel and electricity hikes, then they share 5k to lift them out of poverty (smh), then they borrow the future of this country. All the while the value of Naira is falling, the minimum wage can even pay a child's school fees, politicians are cashing out and the insecurity keeps mounting. Which way Nigeria ![]() |

A very impressive record for C.Ronaldo. He is turning 36 with more games played, while Messi is approaching 34. I believe Messis is on track to become the highest goal scorer of all time (or at least 2nd behind CR7) They have done well for themselves. |

All about sowing and reaping |
Lately our image across the world has been terrible. A country where Anti corruption boss was detained for being corrupt. And Las las na the innocent hardworking and genuine Nigerians go come suffer am. |
Hmmm! Some people are heartless. How does this man sleep at night after committing these crimes?? |
This is going to be the ultimate test for AJ yet. I believe Fury is currently the favourite. AJ needs to be at his best to beat Furry. I support AJ. |

YorubaPrince:Okay. Thank you very much. I think I will work with it. |
FEGNO:Hmmm! Please how big (in terms of area) is the decking?? |
emae009:There are no cutouts. There is only one veranda at the front with dimension 2m x 1.5m. The decking will be rectangular. |
Hello people, I had an argument with some of my colleagues yesterday regarding the right way to wear the common disposable mask which has blue and white sides. I believe this colour coding was done for a reason. To health professionals in the house, Should the blue side be inside (i.e. touching your face) and white side facing out? OR Whites side in and blues side out ??

Hello people, I hope this is the right section to make this enquiry. I recently started building a 5-bedroom Duplex (one-bedroom on the ground floor and the remaining 4-bedrooms on the first floor). The project has now gotten to the stage of decking. Please professionals in the house, I want to know a rough estimate of how much it would cost me to do the decking alone. This is required for planing purpose because I execute the project one stage at a time. Location: Imo State Size of decking required: 13m by 10m (130 sqm area). Any suggestion will be immensely appreciated... Thank you in advance |
Our football is coming back. Yes! Yes!! Yes!!! English and Spanish leagues to follow suit... For a while now, Corona has taken almost all our fun. |
May his soul rest in peace. Amen. 1. I understand the need for "last respect", but I honestly don't think that that number of people are required at this point to give him a decent burial, given the recent situation of things. 2. Social Distancing will be difficult to achieve in Nigeria. Nigerians are not proactive by nature; but reactive. This is worrisome because community spread will be inevitable. 3. We hope a cure/vaccine is found ASAP so that we all can go back to our normal lives. ##We shall defeat the Virus if we all play our part. If you can't be a cure, at least stay safe and help prevent the spread. |
Italy now holds the record for new cases of Corona virus infection in Europe. Just yesterday I read a Nigerian footballer in Italy was diagnosed, and this is worrisome. I think with the much enlightenment ongoing about how the diesease spread across from person to person, one would expect that new cases of infection would be on the decline. I suspect it's because they haven't successfully identified all the people with the virus (especially those who have no visible signs of infection). |
It's a welcome development. Production should start In a other 6-8 months production. |
People like this with sense and exposure will never be allowed to rule Nigeria. Our best minds are not given a chance yet we expect the clueless people up there to perform magic ![]() Sometimes I don't waste my energy complaining about incompetence with regards to how our leaders govern us. They cannot give what they don't have. A country of ~200million people, not governed by her brightest minds...What do you expect A miracle?? |
If we don't tackle insecurity in this country, both the rich and poor alike will feel the brunt. It's only a matter of time. RIP |
No doubt their mobile app is one of the best around. There is room for improvement though. |
I only realised how addicted I was to my phone after I spent three days in a row without it. My smartphone fell from a 3m-high widow and, due to the impact, the screen developed a major fault. I was confined for 3 days to my “boring” Nokia torch, which can only do phone calls and SMS. Below is my 3-day ordeal without my smartphone: Experience from Day 1 It felt like I was cut off from the rest of the world. I couldn’t check Nairaland news, watch YouTube and WhatsApp with friends. I suddenly (and strangely) had ample spare time and didn’t know what to with it. It was indeed a long day. The good part: I made more phone calls than usual and went out with some friends that were living close by. My Amazon Kindle became a companion when I was alone. Before this saga, I was spending, on the average, 30 minutes daily reading on Kindle, but on this day, I did about 2.5 hours reading Deep Work by Carl Newport. Experience from Day 2 It wasn’t as bad as day 1, but I still missed being online. It felt better because I was beginning to accept my new reality of zero online presence. I spent more time with my kindle and started conversations with people I would have normally ignored or not noticed. I had time to plan my day, set goals and review my progress. I completed the book I was reading the previous day and started another one As a man thinketh by James Allen. Experience from Day 3 By the morning of day 3, I got my phone back. Sadly, as if I were a programmed robot, I rushed online to catch-up on all the things I had missed during the last two days, and I have been in a state of connectedness ever since. All the little victories I achieved on Day 1 and 2 were lost. Over time, I have become conscious of my online habits and I observe how people around me make use of their smartphones. The following are some of my observations: 1. Most of us are hardened phone addicts (teenagers are worst hit), just like smokers and people who do hard drugs. Unfortunately, we do not realise it. Quick question: can you spend one full day offline For most of us, the answer is No.2. To curb my phone addictions, I practice staying for at least three consecutive hours without touching my phone (except to answer incoming calls). If you cannot do this, then you’ve lost a precious virtue, which is the ability to concentrate on any given task for an extended period with zero distraction. 3. Most of us have lost our ability to read intelligent and lengthy write-ups because we are already used to consuming information in piecemeals like we do when chatting. We quickly scan through articles with little regards for details. 4. We use your phone far more often than we realise it. I recently installed an App called YourHour to help curb my phone addiction. What I discovered was troubling: I spend more than 7 hours on a weekend on my phone doing very shallow activities like chatting, checking online news and watching YouTube. This leaves me with very little time to do productive works. (see attached picture for stats). I am not against any form of tech, but I believe we should apply restraints in the way we use them. I also believe apps are nothing more than tools which are created to make our daily routines of communication and access to information seamless. We should note, however, that, since these apps have been designed by behavioural scientists to make us addicted to them, there is need minimise usage to prevent a huge decline in our productivity on deep tasks.

I don't know what somebody will not hear in this life. |

I'm currently researching on this issue. I conducted an online survey with about 50 respondents, out of which less than 10 ( about 6) were 1st class. The distinct features about them was against popular views; 1. They're smart (they identify and utilize opportunities than the average student) 2. They're not necessarily 'intelligent' but are hardworking. The whole thing is that they don't always have the good cards (i.e intelligence) but are good players (they're smart and hardworking) NB: My findings are not concluded yet and i'm still working on getting more respondents
