CHM11: I take the rest of your points, but having recognized you from a certain "intellectual" thread, I expected that you'd be better than to utter that bolded part. The primary strength of this country is in its unity in diversity. |

"After watching Mr. Buhari speak at the event and the questions and answers session, my friend said, they did not ask him about his certificate, i laughed, i said to him, have you noticed that none of the international media house has asked him about such issues? He said thats what he observed too. But why? I told my friend its because the international media outfits sees it foolhardy and meaningless to question the certificate of a man whose profile of attending the prestigious US war college is still on Wikipedia." This man, you think the implications of your utterances is limited to the Nigerian landscape (the animal kingdom) where you can say anything you like. Chatham House, a world renowned and respected institution can sue you and bankrupt you and generations of your extended family for defamation of character. 1 Like |

Do that okay, and instead of gaining support, you will end up proving to the world that the problem was never really beyond the government of Nigeria, that all this carnage and death and destruction and misery (including the infamous and heartbreaking Chibok saga) could have been avoided but because of the nonchalant attitude of the government, it thrived. 33 Likes |

I don't know about you guys, but I'm in a way enjoying this period. After being nonchalant and carefree towards Nigerians in the last 3+ years now oga is having sleepless nights. Now he's giving everybody attention. Power of the people. Suddenly immigration want to recruit again after all the death and misery the botched recruitment/exploitation caused including unfulfilled presidential promises to the injured and relatives of the victims. 12 Likes |

Okay, I hate those buses but you don't have to ban them. Rather, enforce road worthiness requirements and carry out random tests even on the highway. (The full road worthiness test takes a while but an expedited version could be carried out more frequently). You are stopped on the road, they check your tyre thread and expiry date (from the manufacture date), your lights (brake, reverse, headlamps, indicators, hazard), brakes etc. Shouldn't take more than 10 mins. Plus I'd really like to see all the road traffic agencies and units merged into one. Call them the road traffic police or something. That includes the FRSC, VIO and the Federal Highway Patrol unit of the police. However, that'd only work if it is decentralized from the federal structure else there'd be complications. Eg. The VIO collects revenue for the state government rather than the federal, through the internal revenue board. So the mainstream police stop you and ask for your license and registration (which is done purely to find out if the car is stolen) while the road traffic body does everything else. In countries like the UK they even test for alcohol intoxication levels of the driver. 1 Like |

The kind of punishment I want to see more of in Nigeria. Get them doing something useful, not idling away in jail. Especially in a country like Nigeria that could do with a lot of community service. 12 Likes |

Too short. Most of these answers he has given in past interviews and discussions. I liked the Ebonylifetv discussion (part 2) way more. They touched on new topics like youth, gender etc. not dwelling too much on the recurring corruption, economy and insecurity questions. |
