Politics of desperation. Anything to survive, ethical or not. Why can't they just be a good sport? |

An attempt to delay the inevitable...so childish. The invigilator says "time up! Submit!" and the student pleads "please sir, I need 5 more minutes" 5 minutes to try and answer the questions he'd been unable to for the past three hours, and he knows he's out of ideas. 36 Likes |

Foreign boots waging war on a sovereign nation's soil (a nation that is as capable "on paper" as Nigeria, no less) is a disgrace and a cause for concern. Period. 1 Like |

I'm saying it again, that was NOT a drone strike. Those who can see properly know. |

Very ambitious manifesto indeed. However, I've always said to all the skeptics about the Nigerian government's potential financial strength, that a 4 trillion Naira annual budget is an utter travesty. A jaw-dropping amount of funds is being continuously siphoned in this country and the APC bigwigs know it that is why they can be that ambitious with their manifesto. 9 Likes |

PassingShot: A very apt analysis of Buhari's regime summarized in a sentence. And I'd rather have an overly passionate leader than a nonchalant one. 8 Likes |

Abi? For most people it is not about voting in Buhari, it is about voting out GEJ. It is about the realization that Nigeria simply can not afford another four years of GEJ. |

It seems some are deliberately trying to instigate chaos perhaps to prompt a postponement of the polls. Let us decide that there shall be no going back on the Feb elections. How? By keeping cool heads in the face of aggression and provocation. And spread the word! 1 Like |

Anyone who thinks those Chadian troops are in any way better soldiers than ours is a simpleton this one that some are saying Nigerian forces should watch and learn. The simple truth is that it is our government that is to blame. From deliberate watering down of the military to corruption to lack of adequate attention. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Unfortunately we've reached a point where we'd accept any sort of help from whosoever to stop the wanton bloodletting and destruction in the troubled areas of our dear country, but, Nigeria, a sovereign nation, the giant of Africa no less, consenting to foreign boots (Chadian for that matter) waging war on our soil with all the possible collateral damage?! I can't shake my head enough. How did we get here? 4 Likes |

GMB sir, what I personally want from your government primarily over the next four years if elected are: Security of lives and property of the average Nigerian; corruption drastically minimized; a much better managed economy, the effects of which would be felt in the everyday lives of the average Nigerian (not just meaningless numbers) as well as a more diversified economy (hence better employment opportunities); and a level playing ground for all Nigerians hence promoting unity and strength in our diversity. 6 Likes |

If I knew better I would've said that this move is politically motivated because of the timing. 5 Likes |

After reading so much of it I scrolled down only to realize it was a 2007 article. A lot of water has passed under the bridge between then and now. Nigerians have had all sorts of experiences. Circumstances and priorities have changed. And as a result of all that, opinions and allegiances have shifted dramatically. E.g. El-rufai, FFK, OBJ. I want to hear what the Prof has to say today. 2 Likes |

You know what AIT, just conduct a repeat poll with very stringent security features that will ensure no multiple voting and see if the results wouldn't be similar. Nigerians are just sick and tired of GEJ's maladministration, period! 124 Likes 6 Shares |

CeejayCharles: You see your life?! A website can't allow an invalid IP address access not to talk of allowing it to vote. But by AIT's magic, it happened...many times. 13 Likes |
