Nigerian blogger recalls how she initially curved her husband when he asked her out before her accident

Nigerian blogger, Lizzy, who became confined to a wheel chair following an accident in 2008 has told of how her now husband asked her out a few weeks before the accident but she "curved" him.

Such things are learned from the Word of God, when you go to church regularly. Then you’d be amazed at your growth, at your wisdom, at the way you relate with others, at the happenings in your life. You’ll know you’re growing; you’ll see your life go upward and forward.
Some Christians are always looking for someone to pray for them or counsel with them when there’s an issue. When you form the habit of fellowshipping with God and other faithful Christians, you’ll move out of that class, because you’ll have the knowledge of the Word of God that puts you over in life.

There was a huge celebration in Lekki as Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel dedicated a N1 billion 1,000 seat chapel at Victoria Garden City, Lekki, Ajah, Lagos.

According to reports, the chapel was built single-handedly by a member of the Winners Chapel Church.

Bishop Oyedepo commissioned the new Winners Chapel facility at VGC.


The individual who choose to remain anonymous was said to have procured the property, built and delivered it to the church as his own way of contributing to the spread of the gospel.

He said that his contribution will liberate the world from all oppression of the devil through the continuous preaching of faith.

The facility has modern equipment and is fully furnished with about 1000 seat capacity.


Until now, the Oyedepo has maintained that a central church at Ota, Ogun State was the primary place of worship.

It is reported that a pastor, who chose to remain anonymous, procured property, built and delivered the whole facility to the church for free as his contribution to the church.

According to reports, the facility will continue to hold only weekly services until such a time as the Bishop Oyedepo receives divine instruction to allow satellite centers within Lagos to run Sunday services.

A six-month-old baby boy was mauled and killed by a dog at home in Johannesburg on Wednesday.

The baby identified as Callum was attacked by a pit bull and died at his grandmother’s house in Primrose‚ said ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring.

"Paramedics were lead into the lounge of the home where they found the body of the child‚” he said.
"When the baby was assessed‚ he had sustained several serious bite wounds and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately‚ the boy had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing more could be done and he was declared dead‚” added Meiring.

The circumstances around the incident are under investigation.

Speaking to the Germiston City News after the death of her baby boy, Ané Stols, (pictured) said:

“He was always smiling, had no problems and was very loving.”
“Apparently she took him out of the car and started walking to the house and the dog started attacking Callum in his car chair,” said Ané.
The Germiston City News reported that Gerard Edward, Ané’s partner of a year, said that the dog had always been aggressive.

Ané added that the dog had never liked children. She has two other children, Kiana 3 and Zian 5.
