A witness of the EFCC, Adewale Atanda on Thursday, March 2, told a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos that a former governor of Oyo state, Rasheed Ladoja bought 22 vehicles to win the loyalty of Oyo state House of Assembly members in 2005 so as to avoid being impeached. Atanda, a lawyer, also informed the court that out of the 22 cars bought by Ladoja, only 14 was given out to Ladoja’s loyalists in the state’s assembly, while the remaining eight were shared among the former governor’s family members. Atanda, a political associate of Senator Ladoja, is a second witness to give evidence in the trial of Senator Ladoja, and a former commissioner of finance, Waheed Akanbi, who were arraigned before the court on charges bordering on laundering of N4.7 billion. In the charge, marked FHC/L/336c/2008, the EFCC alleged that both Ladoja and Akanbi conspired together to convert properties and resources derived from an illegal act, with the intention of concealing their illicit origin. The duo were re-arraigned on an eight-count charge of money laundering contrary to Section 17(a) and punishable under Section 14(1) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2004, Thisday reports. At the resumed trial of the two accused persons, Atanda, started his evidence by saying that the most memorable about the Impeachment of Ladoja was when a rift between the members of the Oyo state House of Assembly, in one hand and political actors in Oyo state on the other hand. The witness stated that when he noticed that there was attempt to Impeached Senator Ladoja, and to secure two third members of the assembly members which is 22, that will support Ladoja, he suggested that 22 vehicles be bought and give to the loyal members of the assembly. Atanda said to get the vehicles bought, he secured a loan of N80 million from Wema Bank, which he used his personal assets and personal guarantee to secured, as the commissioner of finance was unable to raise the money from the state purse. He stated that despite buying and sharing of the vehicles, Ladoja was impeached in December 2005. Prince Odi Okogie, husband to one of Nigeria’s best Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, has revealed how he managed to keep his marriage for six years despite increasing rate of divorce in celebrity marriages. The couple has been married for Six years with three children. In an exclusive interview with New Telegraph, Prince Okogie disclosed that he avoids watching his wife’s movies, so his emotions won’t flare up from seeing her do what the script says. In his words: “Prior to our marriage, I’d known my wife for three years; we actually met in 2008. We started living together in 2009 and we got married in 2011. “It’s been God all the way, there’s no miracle or anything much, it’s just been God. “With marriage break-ups and celebrity dramas, I think it depends on what one wants. For me, when I met my wife, I knew she was the one for me. “The love, the affection and the tender care are all present, and although we might have some misunderstanding but when we sleep over it, we move on. “My wife is my best friend, I hold her in high esteem and as a result of this, we don’t quarrel often. When we do, we learn from it and move to the next level. “I have a very big house, my wife has a very big room and so do I, but she has never spent the night in her room for one day. Sometimes when I tease her and say ‘go to your room’, she tells me ‘this is our room not your room’ and so most times we are always together.“ I have never experienced anything like this, my marriage to her is so sweet and I’m enjoying it to the fullest. “Like I said, I won’t give the kudos to man but to God Almighty who has kept us in happiness, in peace and in harmony.” he stated. Many people have been wondering what really causes one to cry while slicing onions. Well, according to Sun UK, the reason is very simpl. As we chop up an onion, it releases enzymes that act as catalysts for us weeping over your kitchen counter. When these molecules are released they form a type of acid which then reacts with the air – the resulting gas hits your eye, reacting with the water there to create sulphuric acid, which burns. This leads to more tears as your eyes tries to get rid of the stinging. How can you chop and onion without crying? There are a few tips and tricks you can employ to prevent sobbing your eyes out every time you need to cook up an onion-filled dish. 1. Light a candle The idea is that the flame will get rid of some of the fumes which cause the gas. Without them, you shouldn’t have as much of a problem. 2. Freeze it first You need to pop the onion in the freezer about 15 minutes before you want to chop it. The cold is supposed to stop it releasing the molecules which cause all the problems. Slicing an onion in water works too, again because it stops the vapour hitting your eyes. 3. Soak it Popping an onion in water once it’s peeled but not cut also helps. It apparently draws out the compounds, meaning there aren’t as many to react with your eyes. 4. Use a spoon Pop a spoon in your mouth while you cut your onion and you won’t cry. It works because the chemicals bind to the metal of the spoon before they can get to your eyes, so you don’t cry. 5. Get chewing Some people suggest putting a bit of bread in your mouth, with part of it hanging out. This is supposed to catch some of the chemicals before they reach your eyes. Chewing gum also helps as it makes you breathe through your mouth, which disperses the irritants more. That means less get to your eyes, so you won’t cry. What chemical in onions makes your eyes burn? The exact chemical that makes our eyes burn so much when we chop up onions is syn-propanethial-S-oxide. This volatile sulphur compound wafts towards your eyes where it then forms sulphuric acid. The sulphuric acid then causes that dreaded burning sensation and resulting tears. Candidates should check their result now. You can share your grades with us anyway. |
You can make your man obsessed with you again. Start by doing these three things. Surprise him with s*x. No really, surprise him. First of all, if you’re not having regular s*x, it’s time to sit up and listen up. No matter how much women claim that true love is about support, respect and unconditional love (and it is to an extent), s*x is a huge part of any marriage. You need s*x. And men need s*x. So if you’re not having it, you have a problem, and you need to jump on your guy the next time you see him. Ok? Ok, we got that out of the way. Now, if things are a little better and you’re indeed having s*x … just not very often or very … what’s the word … passionately, you need to step it up a bit. 1) Make sure you have a time set. For example, before he goes to turn on the TV at night, plan on telling him you need “help” with something upstairs. 2) Groom yourself before hand. Yes, we know, you’re not a dog. But shave, wax, pluck—whatever you need to do. And also do your hair, put on makeup and have a little something $exy underneath … 3) … Or go out and get yourself a nice set of lingerie. 4) When you get to it, go slow. Look him inthe eyes with your $exiest come hither look, whisper in his ear, move around the bed instead of letting him do all the work, and make s*x last. Trust us, he’ll be pretty obsessed over you at this point. 2. Add some mystery to yourself. Many women make the mistake of making themselves too available to their men. Now, in a husband/wife relationship, you naturally want to be available. Heck, you want to me more than just “available.” You need to be there for him through thick and thin. What we’re talking about is that special “jene sais quoi” that all men want their women to have. “Je ne sais quoi” means “I don’t know what” in French, and what it really means is some special little hint of exclusiveness and elusiveness. To cultivate this in yourself, try doing more things without your husband instead of always hanging around. Start getting involved in new hobbies, and have your own interests. Paint, draw, start running, read a new book, make new friends, join some clubs, get a new hair style, start wearing makeup, jazz up your wardrobe. It’s the little things that will really pique his interest. 3. Go out and do something new together. According to Scientific American, oxytocin (the hormone) is your best friend. That’s because it promotes a strong bond or connection between you and whatever you are experiencing (whoever you’re with) when it’s released into your brain. And you get oxytocin when you do exciting things, like falling in love or experiencing new adventures. For example, having s*x (the climax) releases oxytocin in your brain and so does jumping out of an airplane with nothing but a parachute. (Both exciting in their own way!). You don’t have to go jump out of an airplane with your man to make him fall head over heels with you again, but any new experience or adventure could benefit from this oxytocin release. Take a cooking class together, or try a new sport. Even taking a vacation together could do the trick. There is no doubt that the effect of the economic recession in the country has subjected people to complaining and grumbling on the cost of living. Nigerians are trying their possible best to survive in the midst of all by cutting down cost to complement their means of income. There are some Nigerians you will never want to have anything to do with during this recession. Here 8 types of people living in Nigeria that could make life miserable for you. 1. Nigerian Tailors Some tailors in Nigeria can make life miserable when you give them a design and they do something entirely different. They are good at making promises and never delivering them. Good at giving unimaginable excuses. If they promise to bring your cloth this week, don’t expect it until next month. 2. Nigerian Mechanics Nigerian mechanics! They are fast consuming than cancer. They will always look for ways to empty your pocket. Even when there is nothing wrong with your car, they cook up imaginary fault. 3. Power Holding Company of Nigeria (NEPA) Never pray to see a police in the morning especially when you are rushing for work. They are good at wasting time and not your safety. They are ready to be your friend once you have an answer to their regular ‘anything for the boys?’ 4. Nigerian Politicians Nigerian politician do not have permanent friends but friends with permanent interest. They knee for you just to have your vote, only to embezzle your money when they have your votes. They are full of empty and vague promises. 5. Conductors These set of Nigerians are good at ‘marrying’ passengers at the bus stop. They pretend like they don’t have change, just to stress you over your own money. It is only a Nigerian driver/conductor that will abuse you for their intentional errors. 6. Nigerian Banks They laugh with you when they need you to open an account with them only to ask irrelevant questions on withdrawal of YOUR HARD EARNED money. You keep your money with them but they remove tiny tiny amounts for irrelevant charges. What is card maintenance fee? 7. Petrol Attendants These ones are really annoying. They act like they are doing you a favour, meanwhile it is their job. They will never sell the complete amount, especially if you are buying fuel for your generator. They ask for ‘keg money’, like you are expected to buy the fuel on your palm if not the container. Source: https://vastfinder..com/2017/02/8-types-of-nigerians-that-will-leave.html

With the high demand of smartphones, tablets and other high level gadgets in Nigeria, the purchase of getting a memory/SD card to add as an additional storage to the memory of the device is imminent. The high demand for these memory cards has seen imitations arise which makes it difficult for a buyer of such memory cards to distinguish between a fake memory card and an original SD card. If you have been searching on how to differentiate between a fake memory card from the original micro SD card, then you are in the right place at the right time because we shall give you a full detailed analysis on how to identify a fake memory card from the original SD card. How to Identify a Fake Memory Card Step 1: To know whether your SD card is fake, check for its serial number and the manufacturing country’s identity. Don’t just look at the picture only as all memory cards (both fake and original look alike) Step 2: Perform a full format on the memory card. A full format does a deeper scan and writing to the card. If the full format fails or you get errors like “Format SD card”, you may have purchased a fake memory card or a defective micro SD card. Step 3: Do a H2 testw to detect fake SD cards. H2testw is a simple free tool used to detect counterfeit memory cards. It works mainly on computers. Download this tool in your computer. After which you connect your SD card using a card reader to your computer, follow the instructions. If you get a feedback like this (see below), then its probably you have purchased a fake micro SD card ‘‘The media is likely to be defective. 3.8 GByte OK (8084847 sectors) 58.6 GByte DATA LOST (122921617 sectors) Details:710.5 KByte overwritten (1421 sectors) 7.6 MByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 15630 sectors) 58.6 byte corrupted (122904566 sectors) 710.5 KByte aliased memory (1421 sectors) First error at offset: 0x000000003cef8470 Expected: 0xeb7ac43a237c5170 Found: 0xeb7a843a237c5170 H2testw version 1.3 Writing speed: 9.24 MByte Reading speed: 10.8 MByte/s.’’ Conclusion Invest in a good SD card. Do not go for the cheaper ones sold on the How to Spot a Fake Memory/SD Card by hawkers. Visit trusted stores like SLOT or online stores like Amazon, Ebay, Konga, Jumia and purchase an original SD card. Remember you stand the risk of loosing important files if you use a counterfeit memory card. Hope this helps. MARKETING The marketing aspect is very vital when carrying out a feasibility study on how to start fish farming business in Nigeria. This is determined by the market forces (demand & supply). One thing you should note in fish business is that the size of thefish determines the market. Retailers, consumers and restaurant owners would prefer big fishes rather than small fishes. So you would have to invest in your big fishes, which will draw customers for you. Finally, Feasibility study on the market helps you to know when your fishes are on demand and when you are to supply them and gives a fish farmer an overview of what he needs to know about the fish business after which you can draw a fish farming business plan to help give you a focus on what to do as you start you fish farming business. Mark Zuckerberg – Facebook’s CEO – is the most powerful person alive today. He may even be the most powerful person ever. Many believe, the president of the Russia 'Putin' to be the most powerful person on Earth. He has power over many things and his nation is one of the growing country logically at the moment. Others still believe Donald Trump to be the most powerful person on earth, But President Trump is beholden to systems that keep his power in check: congress and the supreme court, term limits, and the will of the American electorate. Mark Zuckerberg has none of these limitations. His power flows from Facebook, the seventh largest corporation on the planet by market capitalization, of which he owns 18% of the stock and controls 60% of the voting rights. At 32 years of age, he could remain the CEO of Facebook for another 50 years. But financials are just a small part of what makes Facebook so powerful. Here are some ways it dominates human attention: 1. More than one billion people use Facebook each day. 1/4 of all time spent on the internet is spent using Facebook. 2. For many people, Facebook literally is the internet. It’s the first place most people go to announce weddings, births, deaths, and other major life events. 3. Facebook is increasingly the place where people consume other forms of media. Through its Free Basics program, Facebook has literally become the internet for the world’s poor (who have to pay money to access websites that are outside of Facebook). Facebook has also used its monopoly on human attention to control what news is shown to whom, affecting public opinion from the shadows. And Facebook knows far more about humanity – and individual humans – than any other company or government on Earth. 500 terabytes of our personal data flow into Facebook every day. So far, Zuckerberg has mainly used Facebook’s power to further grow Facebook. He’s acquired Facebook’s most serious competitors: Instagram and WhatsApp. He’s now competing with YouTube for video and Twitter for real time communication. He’s even creating AIs and launching satellites. But as Facebook races toward becoming the largest corporation ever, his plans for it may change. Even though he has pledged to give away 99% of his Facebook stock during the course of his life, he will retain control of its board. And his power comes not from his billions of dollars, but from his access to our attention and our data. For the rest of his life, Zuckerberg will be able to bring Facebook’s incredible power to bear in achieving whatever ends he desires. Let’s hope he has benevolent plans in store for us as you can see why Mark Zuckerberg is the most powerful person alive today. Jesus’ death on the cross, as described in the New Testament, has become one of the most famous events. But what happened to the 12 disciples who were his closest followers? Not as much information has survived about their fates, but here is what’s available from various sources, including the New Testament itself, apocryphal texts, early Christian historians, legends and lore. • Simon, AKA Peter: Simon-Peter, who was appointed by Jesus the leader of the new sect, is viewed by Roman Catholics as the first pope, was eventually martyred in Rome during the reign of the emperor Nero. As the story goes, Peter asked to be crucified upside down, so that his death would not be the equal of Jesus and the Romans supposedly obliged. • Andrew: According to 15th Century religious historian Dorman Newman, Andrew—the brother of Peter—went to Patras in western Greece in 69 AD, where the Roman proconsul Aegeates debated religion with him. Aegeates tried to convince Andrew toforsake Christianity, so that he would not have to torture and execute him. But when that didn’t work, apparently he decided to give Andrew the full treatment. Andrew was scourged, and then tied rather than nailed to a cross, so that he would suffer for a longer time before dying. Andrew lived for two days, during which he preached to passersby. • James (son of Zebedee, AKA James the Greater): Acts 12:1-19 says that James was killed with a sword. The newly-appointed governor of Judea, Herod Agrippa, decided to ingratiate himself with the Romans by persecuting leaders of the new sect. After James was arrested and led to place of execution, his unnamed accuser was moved by his courage. He not only repented and converted on the spot, but asked to be executed alongside James. The Roman executioners obliged, and both men were beheaded simultaneously. • John: John was the only one of the original disciples not to die a violent death. Instead, he passed away peacefully in Patmos in his old age, sometime around 100 AD. • Philip: Philip, the first of Jesus’ disciples, became a missionary in Asia. Eventually, he traveled to the Egyptian city of Heliopolis, where he was scourged, thrown into prison, and crucified in 54 AD. • Bartholomew: Bartholomew supposedly preached in several countries, including India, where he translated the Gospel of Matthew for believers. In one account, “impatient idolaters” beat Bartholomew and then crucified him, while in another, he was skinned alive and then beheaded. • Thomas: Apparently Thomas preached the gospel in Greece and India, where he angered local religious authorities, who martyred him by running him through with a spear. • Matthew: According to legend, the former tax collector turned missionary was martyred in Ethiopia, where he was supposedly stabbed inthe back by an swordsman sent by King Hertacus, after he criticized the king’s morals. • James (son of Alphaeus, AKA James the Less): According to Foxe, James, who was elected by his fellowbelievers to head the churches of Jerusalem, was one of the longest-lived apostles, perhaps exceeded only by John. At the age of 94, he was beaten and stoned by persecutors, and then killed him by hitting him in the head with a club. • Thaddaeus, AKA Lebbaeus, Judas or Jude: According to several stories,he was crucified at Edessa (the name of cities in both Turkey and Greece) in 72 AD. • Simon the Canaanite AKA the Zealot: Simon preached in Mauritania on the west coast of Africa, and then went to England, where he was crucified in 74 AD. • Judas Iscariot: According to Matthew 27:3-6, the treacherous apostle quickly felt remorse over his betrayal of Jesus and went to the Temple to recant. When the high priests ignored his plea, he threw down the 30 pieces of silver that he had been paid, and went off and hanged himself. But Acts 1:15-20, gives a different and even grislier version of Judas’ demise. He says that Judas used the blood money to purchase a piece of land and then fell headlong from a high place there, so that “he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.” Jerusalem residents subsequently named the place Aceldama, which means “the field of blood.” Source: https://vastfinder..com/2017/02/death-of-apostles-how-jesus-disciples.html lalasticlala, Mynd44, OAM4J, dominique, Ijebabe, Obiniscopy

According to Oxford Dictionary (NEW 9th Edition). Brain is the organ inside the head that controls movement, thought, memory and feeling. Now, assume this specially structured organ got damage or contacted a serial infection. What a World! The brain processes billions of data per seconds and so doing, it needs to rest in some period in order to regain its normal function of maintaining the body everyday. But there are some dangerous habits which we practice that can hurt functionality of our brain. Here Are Eight Habits That Can Hurt Your Brain 1. Sleeping Late At Night Lack of sleep may be a cause of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. It is best to have regular sleeping hours. If you have trouble with sleep, avoid alcohol, caffeine, and electronics in the evening and start a good bedtime ritual. 2. Spend Much Time Alone Human are wired for social contact. It is not about how many Facebook friends you have, what matters is a real sense of interaction. People who have that with even just a few close friends are happier and more productive. They are less likely to suffer from brain decline and Alzheimer's. So if you feel alone call some friends or start something new to do or activities that involves other people. 3. Eating Junk food Parts of the brain linked to learning, memory and mental health are smaller in people who have slot of junk food and drinks in their diet. Green leafy vegetables on the other hand preserve brain function and slow mental decline. So eat fruits and leafy greens instead of snacking on a bag of chips. 4. Headphones Increasing your earphone at full volume, can permanently damage your hearing in only 30 minutes. But it is not just your ears, hearing loss in older adults is linked to brain problems like Alzheimer’s and loss of brain tissue. This occurs because the brain has to work very hard to understand what is being said around you that it cannot store what you have heard into memory. So the next time you want listen to your headphones you might want to reduce volume to a minimal volume and try not listen for more than a couple of hours. 5. Not Exercising Enough The longer you go without regular exercise, the more likely your chances of having dementia. There is a likely chance of getting diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure. You do not need to start running marathons, just walk around the neighborhood. The important thing is to do it at least 3 days a week. 6. Smoking Smoking can shrink your brain. It makes the memory of the brain poor and makes you twice the rate of getting dementia, including Alzheimer's. It also causes heart disease, stroke and high blood pressure. 7. Over Eating Eating too much food even though it is the right kind of food may not enable your brain to build the strong network of connections that help you think and remember. Over eating causes overweight, which can cause heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. 8. Staying In The Dark If you do not get enough natural light, you may get depressed and that can slow the brain. Research shows that sunlight helps keep your brain active and functional. We hereby urge everyone to stay away from the above listed act which is common this days.
