Religion / 5 Essential Goods Every Home Must Have For Easter by VastFinder: 6:03pm On Apr 15, 2017
The Easter holidays are here again and the excitement of the period is filling every home; if you plan to have a very enjoyable celebration, especially with your family members, then here are some things you should not forget to purchase when you go shopping.

1. Cooking Essentials
The Easter celebrations cannot be complete without a bountiful meal for the family so this is one very important point to remember. Make sure you are ready to prepare delicious meals by getting all your essential ingredients, this will save you the trouble of running to a store every now and then during the holidays and hence, let you spend more time with your loved ones.

Items such as healthy cooking oils like the Grand Vegetable oil, tomato paste, Dangote salt, spices and Knorr seasoning cubes are especially important, so make sure you get them beforehand.

2. Soft Drinks and Beverages
A real feast for the season is never complete without cool drinks to go with your delicious meals; for the Easter season, it is better to go for non-alcoholic beverages the entire family can enjoy irrespective of their age or the time of the day.

A good idea for this would be Chivita fruit juices, chilled bottles of 7up or Coca-cola ! It would also be a good idea to stock up on chocolate drinks like Bournvita for the kids, your favorite tea bags and a tin of delicious Peak milk to go with your beverages if you prefer those to soda and juice.

3. Frozen Foods
If you are very familiar with how the Nigerian market works, then you are already aware that the prices of certain goods like chicken, beef and fish tend to skyrocket for no reason and the queues to purchase them become endless during the holidays! A good way to manage this situation is to get the already cleaned and packaged frozen foods and stock them in your refrigerator; this is usually cheaper than buying fresh from the market plus they save you the trouble of killing and butchering your live stocks – double advantage!

CHI farms is specially known for quality frozen foods, so that is a good place to start shopping from.

4. House Cleaning Essentials
You cannot have a complete celebration with your family without making a mess or having to clean up after yourselves; this is however not a problem at all if you have the right cleaning essentials at home, plus, cleaning up will be a fun activity to do as a family!Do not forget to get dish washing liquid for the kitchen, a good pack of detergent like Ariel will come in handy, disinfectants to keep the home germ free, Jik bleach to remove tough stains and of course, all other necessary cleaning tools you know you will need.

5. Toiletries
The house is not the only thing that will need cleaning during the holidays, so make sure you stock up on toiletries for the entire family too. The most essential ones are gentle bathing soaps like Dettol soap, body cream, hair cream, toothpaste, toilet rolls and shampoo.

Remember guys, getting all you need ready for the Easter celebrations could make a big difference and be the determining factor for whether you are going to have a lot of fun with your family during the holidays or whether you are going to waste valuable time running back and forth through packed stores getting items at the last minute.

Is there any item you cannot celebrate Easter without that was not mentioned in the list? Then let us know in the comment section.

Have a beautiful Easter Holiday!

Aѕіdе from рrоduсtѕ thаt саnnоt bе used in аnу edible fоrm, раlm оіl рrоduсtѕ can bе used іn making mаrgаrіnе, соndеnѕеd mіlk, ice сrеаm, рrераrаtіоn оf mеаlѕ, аnd various other edible соmmоdіtіеѕ.

Thеѕе dіvеrѕе uѕеѕ and high dеmаnd fоr раlm оіl рrоduсtѕ, contribute tо the hіgh grоwth оf thе palm oil buѕіnеѕѕ industry іn vаrіоuѕ раrtѕ оf thе world.

The Various Business Idеаѕ аnd Opportunities іn Pаlm Oil Prоduсtіоn: Bulk Purсhаѕе & Resale Of Palm Oіl Prоduсtѕ: In this model, thе раlm оіl trаdеr рurсhаѕеѕ раlm оіl products when the рrісеѕ are lоw; usually durіng thе hаrvеѕt season bеtwееn Mаrсh аnd May, stocks the раlm оіl рrоduсtѕ, thеn rеѕеllѕ thеm durіng the off-harvest ѕеаѕоn.

During thіѕ реrіоd, thе ѕuррlу оf thе соmmоdіtу іn thе mаrkеt іѕ relatively lоw, and as scarcity kісkѕ іn, thе рrісе оf the раlm oil products begin tо rіѕе, thеn you can rеар lаrgеr returns оn your іnvеѕtmеnt; ѕоmеtіmеѕ around ѕlіghtlу оvеr 100%. But реrіоdісаllу.

The раlm оіl products саn bе bоught from lосаl fаrmеrѕ during thе hаrvеѕt реrіоd, аnd рrеѕеrvеd іn vаrіоuѕ storage fасіlіtіеѕ, bеfоrе thеу’rе eventually transported fоr rеѕаlе in thе сіtіеѕ, or оthеr соmmunіtіеѕ.

Pаlm оіl рrоduсtѕ рurсhаѕеd for resale, could also bе еxроrtеd to vаrіоuѕ locations ѕuсh as Chіnа, and Singapore, tо mеntіоn a few.

Sеttіng Uр And Grоwіng A Pаlm Oіl Plantation: Growing раlm trееѕ саn sometimes bе thebеѕt аррrоасh fоr a раlm oil entrepreneur with a long tеrm vision. Sіnсе Wеѕt Africa is a rich rеgіоn fоr a full and nоurіѕhеd mаturіtу оf раlm оіl рrоduсtѕ, ѕеttіng up a palm оіl рlаntаtіоn in Nigeria for hіgh quality crop grоwth would bе a great idea.

Thе buѕіnеѕѕ opportunities thаt lіе іn thе palm оіl business sector іn Afrіса are vast аnd wide. Thіѕ lаrgе empty dеmаnd fоr mоrе рrоduсеrѕ advertises a great орроrtunіtу for wоuld-bе аgrісulturаl entrepreneurs tо tаkе аdvаntаgе of.

Wіth аn аbundаnсе оf rаіn, mоrе than adequate ѕunѕhіnе, аnd largely fеrtіlе soil in thе Afrісаn соntіnеnt, grоwіng аnd рrосеѕѕіng раlm оіl рrоduсtѕ саn only gеt a lоt bеttеr.

Whеn thе oil раlmѕ аrе сultіvаtеd, the fruits аrе сruѕhеd tо produce palm оіl. Thе whіtе іnnеr kеrnеl іnѕіdе thе ѕееd оf thе palm оіl fruіt саn bе further сruѕhеd to рrоduсе palm kernel оіl, which hаѕ hundrеdѕ оf uѕеѕ.

Bеfоrе уоu start a palm oil рlаntаtіоn, іt’ѕ important уоu know thаt іt would rеԛuіrе ѕіgnіfісаnt investment, thе rіght fеrtіlе farmland tо grоw уоur palm trееѕ, аnd a раtіеnt mіnd bесаuѕе the Rеturn On Invеѕtmеnt (ROI) is fаr in the futurе.

Palm Oіl Prосеѕѕіng Plant: Whіlе there are palm оіl farmers and buyers, there are аlѕо thе palm oil processors. Thеѕе buѕіnеѕѕеѕ аrе thоѕе that process thе fruits tо various fоrmѕ fоr use іn households, fасtоrіеѕ, аnd mоrе.Lаrgе mіllѕ can bе used tо рrосеѕѕ thе раlm fruіtѕ into раlm оіl wіth lіttlе humаn еffоrt. This ѕаvеѕ both tіmе and energy for thе farmers аnd thе рrосеѕѕоrѕ.

Althоugh thеrе аrе mоrе trаdіtіоnаl wауѕ tо рrосеѕѕ the раlm fruіtѕ into раlm оіl, using mоdеrn mасhіnеrу makes thе еffоrt seamless, аnd ѕрееdѕ uр thе еntіrе рrосеѕѕ.

You соuld either purchase thе раlm оіl mіllѕ fоr rent to vаrіоuѕ farmers and рrосеѕѕоrѕ whо nееd іt’ѕ uѕе, оr you could рurсhаѕе уоur own раlm fruіtѕ frоm thе fаrmеrѕ dіrесtlу, рrосеѕѕ them wіth уоur mіllѕ, thеn prepare them fоr export, or sell thеm tо thе final соnѕumеrѕ іn thе cities аnd villages. Thіѕ mеthоd mаxіmіѕеѕ уоur рrоfіtѕ, аnd еnаblеѕ уоu to соmрlеtеlу соntrоl the time your рrоduсtѕ make іt tо the mаrkеt.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PROCESSING PALM OILvGET A LOCATION
Thе first thіng уоu wіll nееd tо dо іѕ to gеt a good lосаtіоn tо set uр your рrосеѕѕіng рlаnt. It is bеѕt tо lосаtе уоur рlаnt сlоѕе to оіl palm рlаntаtіоnѕ, dоіng this wіll drаѕtісаllу rеduсе thе cost of trаnѕроrtіng the раlm fruіtѕ frоm thе fаrm to thе рrосеѕѕіng рlаnt.

ACQUIRE THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT
Setting uр a processing рlаnt іѕ fairly еxреnѕіvе, but еԛuаllу рrоfіtаblе. Thеrе аrе a lot оf еԛuірmеnt/mасhіnеrіеѕ thаt аrе uѕеd tо extract the оіl from thе palm fruits.

Tо rеduсе соѕt of ѕеttіng up the plant, I ѕuggеѕt you approach lосаl fabricators whо construct these mасhіnеѕ аt a rеlаtіvеlу lоw рrісе. Sоmе of thе еԛuірmеnt іnсludе; Pаlm Fruit Stripper, Nut Fіbеr Sераrаtоr, Bоіlеr, Mесhаnісаl Screw Press, and Pоundіng Machine.

Thеѕе mасhіnеѕ are used to сruѕh аnd squeeze thе раlm fruіt, extracting all thе оіl it соntаіnѕ. The palm kernel seeds аrе also рrосеѕѕеd tо еxtrасt palm kernel oil. Aftеr extracting the раlm oil, уоu wіll need ѕtоrаgе tanks to store thеm in.

EMPLOY WORKERS
Pаlm oil рrосеѕѕіng іѕ a very lаbоr іntеnѕіvе business. You would nееd tо employ thе ѕеrvісеѕ of рrоfеѕѕіоnаlѕ to іnѕtаll аnd operate thе vаrіоuѕ mасhіnеrу.

CHALLENGES ASSOCIATED WITH THE BUSINESS
• It іѕ capital-intensive. Eѕресіаllу if you рlаn tо gо into oil palm plantation оr раlm oil processing business.
• Invеѕtіng in an оіl раlm рlаntаtіоn tаkеѕ tіmе before thе profits ѕtаrt соmіng in. A раlm trее requires аt least fіvе уеаrѕ bеfоrе it matures аnd ѕtаrtѕ рrоduсіng. After it mаturеѕ іt рrоduсеѕ palm fruіtѕ уеаrlу.
• Adequate storage fасіlіtіеѕ nееd to be рrоvіdеd fоr thе palm oil. Thіѕ саn be ѕоmеtіmеѕ сhаllеngіng еѕресіаllу when уоu hаvе lіmіtеd fundѕ.

Thеrе аrе mаnу luсrаtіvе аgrісulturаl buѕіnеѕѕеѕ to invest in, раlm oil processing and рrоduсtіоn sits аt the tор for рrоfіtаbіlіtу. Yоu can gеt іnvоlvеd nо matter the lеvеl of capital at уоur disposal.

There is always something уоu саn mаkе out оf іt.

Politics / 5 Categories Of Nigerians That Will Be Sad Buhari Is Back by VastFinder: 7:55am On Mar 11, 2017
President Buhari's come back to Nigeria is the headline for yesterday. After 51 days on a medical getaway with rumours, speculations, photo-shopped pictures and lots of demands of his resignation, the President is back.

Now, you will see those who find themselves ecstatic at his arrival, who are already tweeting and flooding Social media with pleasant messages. Yet, there's also those who'll not be so happy, for various reasons. Below are a few of such people:

1. Opposition party
As Buhari's medical vacation lengthened, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) opposition party criticized his absence and some even called for his resignation as president. There were insinuations that he was dead. His coming back will be a big blow to them

2. IPOB
One of the biggest thorns in the side of the Buhari administration is the pro-Biafra group known as the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). They have spoken out louder than almost anyone against Buhari's long absence, and will be quite shaken by him returning hale and hearty.

3. MASSOB
The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), is another group who will be sad at Buhari's return. Like the IPOB, they have spoken out constantly against the Buhari administration.

4. Kanu supporters
Nnamdi Kanu who is still in detention was recently seen on video, chanting 'Death to Nigeria', and during Buhari's absence, he received a visit from a delegation which included Pat Utomi, calling for his release.

5. Corrupt politicians
President Buhari's war on corruption and corrupt politicians has caused a shake up in corrupt practices around the country. Many corrupt politicians will surely have hoped that he would never return to the country.

Since Monday, February 20, when the CBN announced new measures to boost dollar supply and forestall the declining fortunes of the naira in the parallel market, the apex bank has intervened in the forex market six times as follows: Tuesday February 21, $417 million; Thursday February 23, $231 million; Monday February 27, $180 million; Friday March 3, $350 million, Monday March 6, N367 million; and on Tuesday, March 7 with $100 million.

Politics / Women’s Day: Be Bold For Change, Saraki Tells Women by VastFinder: 3:19pm On Mar 08, 2017
Saraki, in a statement by his Special Assistant on Gender Advocacy, Fatima Kakuri, made the call as the world marks International Women’s Day.

He said that the Day presented an opportunity for every Nigerian to recognise and celebrate the talent and achievement of women and girls.

“We must appreciate the fact that 49.6 per cent of our mothers, wives, daughters and sisters own or manage 48 per cent of the informal micro-businesses in Nigeria.“

Such numbers are truly significant because they demonstrate that Nigerian women contribute immensely to our social, economic and political development.

“In everything that we do, we need to be bold for change. We need to challenge bias and inequality by standing up when women are excluded from positions of leadership,’’ he said.

Saraki called for synergy between men and women to ensure sustainable development.

The International Women’s Day is celebrated every March 8 throughout the world to commemorate the struggle for women’s right.

Meanwhile, Nigerian women in Katsina state led a protest in support of President Buhari.

Samira Bawumi is the gorgeous wife of the Ghanaian Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia. The pretty woman is the Second Lady of Ghana republic.

For the 60th anniversary celebrations of Ghana's independence, the 2nd Lady of Ghana looked effortlessly gorgeous in a simple dress with the perfect details.

Samira Bawumia rocked a cream coloured outfit matched with a Kente cloth. Her reverence to culture pulls the look together. What do you think?

Career / Central Bank Of Nigeria Salary Scale: How Much Does CBN Pay Staff? by VastFinder: 7:49pm On Mar 06, 2017
Banking is one of the most Lucrative and exceptional Business most people would like to engage in. The huge demand of it course in Schools keep increasing on a daily business. Do you know the Amount of Salary the Central Bank of Nigeria pays it entry level staff,? See below.

The Central Bank of Nigeria provides space for the activities of other banks and regulate their affairs.

It is the dream of most graduates to work in a bank due to the kind of salary they pay their staff. Central Bank of Nigeria is no exception as their entry level basic salary is fair compared to what other top companies in Nigeria pay their workers.

The Banking sector just like the oil and gas industry is one of the highest paying sectors in terms of salary. Although there exist some differences in how much banks in Nigeria pay their workers as no specific law compels them to have a fixed amount for their staff.

So how much does Central Bank of Nigeria pay its entry level staff?

For its entry level staff salary, Central Bank of Nigeria pays N122,000 monthly according to department and unit. Your pay may also rise as time passes as long as you are still in the system.

One might say the entry level pay is quite low compared to other banks. Be not disturbed as what is lacking in salary is well compensated for in allowances and bonuses.

Politics / Gov Willie Obiano Allegedly Floods Anambra State With 'political Bread' Ahead Of by VastFinder: 6:27pm On Mar 06, 2017
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), candidate has been tipped for a second term in office for transforming the state. However, a picture of him could be seen on the bread nylon with the logo of his party.

Sharing of food materials in the heat of the election to cajole the electorate is an endemic nature of politicians in Nigeria. Materials like rice, bread, Bean-cake (Akara) as well as money arecirculated to bamboozle voters for their benefits.

Travel / 6 Struggles Everyone Who Had The Opportunity To Use Lagos Airport Can Relate To by VastFinder: 4:56pm On Mar 06, 2017
The Lagos airport (both international and local) has received a considerable amount of attention over the years for the things that go down within it. Although the airport is used by most people leaving and coming into the country, it has become a shadow of itself due to management issues.

The airport which is supposed to reflect a lot about the Nigerian culture and tourism is starting to fade when it comes to those areas. Normally, there should be some important information about the history of the country, our way of life, destinations and the best hotels to lodge in for foreigners.

All these is not in any way to tarnish theimage of the Lagos Airport as it will always remain the busiest in Nigeria and arguably in Africa. It is however hope that the government would look into some of the raised concerns here and redeem its glory.

If you have ever been at Lagos Airport, you may be able to relate with one or all of the following things:

1. Poor ventilation
People who have had the opportunity totravel outside the country feel somewhat disappointed when they get to the airport and they have to fan themselves continuously till their car arrives.

The air conditioning system is either faulty or not working with the heat recorded in the airport. On the other hand, the air conditioners may be overworked or limited; thus it will not have any positive impact on those waiting to board or those arriving.

2. The epileptic power supply
This is a poor way of welcoming Nigerians who have been away from the country for a while. The seizing power supply is a reminder that things are yet to go back to normal in the country. It is embarrassing for the power to go off while at the airport.

Nigerians are not the only ones using the services rendered at the airport. Thus, it is not a good way of showing the nation to the foreigners who are not used to power shortage.

3. Officials who want to receive tips
Why is it hard for Nigerians to carry out their tasks without waiting for any type of bribe? What happened to the biblical saying that their reward is in heaven?

Nigerians expect people entering the country to ‘drop’ something for them before they help them do things that they ought to do normally as airport workers. Many of them will greet you to a point where you will be embarrassed.

4. The unyielding taxi drivers
People who do not have relatives to pick them upon landing in the country have to be at the mercy of the airport taxi drivers who want to milk them at all cost.

The mentality is that they can collect good money from them before they settle down to the Nigerian economy. The moment you leave the lounge, you are most likely to get drowned in their hoarse voices.

5. The unbearable hours it takes to get cleared
Most people dread the long hours they have to wait for before they get cleared. And to think that all these can happen when the weather is hot and the air conditioners are not working, you will need more than the newspaper to fan yourself. The services are also slow andcan push you off the cliff if you are closeto the edge.

6. Lack of coordination
It would be good for you to take your mind off some things as soon as you get to the airport. Perhaps, consoling yourself by saying 'God's time is the best' will help you a great deal as soon as you enter.

You will be making a great mistake by comparing the services you will get at the airport here to that which you have gotten in other countries. It will make you irritated if you have to compare the services.

Nigerians hope that things will get better and the airport would at least offer the kind of reception that befits the nation as the giant of Africa.

Family / Boy, 5, Asks Mom For Haircut To Look Like His Friend, Wins Everybody's Hearts by VastFinder: 7:58am On Mar 05, 2017
A woman from Kentucky, in the U.S., shared the most endearing on her Facebook page, regarding her 5-year-old son, Jax and his best friend, Reddy.

Jax and Reddy are inseparable, going to the same school and playing together all the time.

It turns out they both wanted to have the same haircut, even though they have very different kind of hair; in fact, they are from different races.

Jax needed to get a haircut, and the first thing he asked his mom, Lydia Rosebush, was that he wanted it to be just like the short style his best buddy had.

“He said that he wanted his head shaved really short so he could look like his friend Reddy. He said he couldn't wait to go to school on Monday with his hair like Reddy's so that his teacher wouldn't be able to tell them apart. He thought it would be so hilarious to confuse his teacher,” Lydia recounted.

She felt Jax’s innocence -by not being able to realize that the color of their skinwould always make them look different-, could remind everyone that racism is something we are definitely not born with.

Lydia was moved by the fact that “the only difference Jax sees in the two of them is their hair.”

Her touching Facebook story has gone viral. It has been liked and shared by thousands of users.

Jax’s mother comments he never mentions his friend Reddy’s skin color, even when he describes his pal.“I thought with all the hate in the world today, we could use this lesson from an almost 5-year-old,”she thoughtfully added.
