PoliticsNigerian Police Force To Punish Officers Taking Pictures With Nnamdi Kanu by VastFinder(op): 2:15pm On Aug 04, 2017
The police authorities have warned officers to stop taking photographs with pro-secession leader Nnamdi Kanu, stating that the action will not be taken with levity.

Ibrahim Idris, inspector general of police, expressed his disgust over the attitude on Thursday in Lagos where he addressed officers. “We will not take it with levity. There should be no double loyalty to Nigeria. No matter your rank, your commitment to the country should be absolute,” he said.

“Nationalism is key. Some officers were taking pictures with Nnamdi Kanu and this is someone that is challenging the unity of this country. We are changing the face of policing in Nigeria, policemen that are people-oriented with the satisfaction of the citizens as the primary focus.

As policemen, you must be committed to unity, leadership and authority of government of this country. No double standards are allowed.

The family of four-year-old Farouk and six-year-old Kafayat, are still in distress over the fate of the two children, who were abducted on November 28, 2016, by their mother’s apprentice, Gladys Austin, Wobegist reports.

Their father, Fatai Azeez, said the family was at a loss because even after the arrest of Austin by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos, the suspect vehemently denied taking the children away.

He alleged that a police officer in charge of the case at SARS told the family to forget about the children as Austin had been released.

The mother of the children, Suliat, was said to have attempted suicide twice while in Lagos and was recently moved back to her hometown in Oyo State, where she allegedly attempted suicide again by taking Sniper.

Austin resumed as an apprentice at her hairdressing workshop in the Okokomaiko area of Lagos on a Thursday and disappeared with the children same day while their mother was away.

She presented herself to the family as Grace John. Upon her arrest, Austin was taken to the SARS office in Lagos, where Fatai and his wife, Suliat, identified her. She was mixed with six other ladies and was picked out each time by residents and neighbours of the family.

However, Austin denied taking any other child aside Oluwasemilore. The alleged nonchalance of the police reportedly drove Suliat into depression as she allegedly tried to end her life.

Fatai said, “Since that time, she could not bring herself to understand how she could lose two children in a day.” He lamented that a SARS operative, Ifeanyi, refused to give information to the family on the whereabouts of Austin, adding that the officer said SARS could not help his family.

The family obtained the services of a lawyer, one Sanni Saidi, who wrote a petition to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Fatai Owoseni, but the police did not act on the petition.

Crime"I Threw My Baby Away Because My Family Rejected His Dad" - Lady Says by VastFinder(op): 8:02am On Aug 04, 2017
Command On Wednesday, 2/8/17, at a lecture parade with the officers and men of Onitsha Area Command, the CP stumbled on the case of an abandoned baby recovered by the police after more than one week.

Sequel to intelligence reports, it was discovered that one Chinwendu Njoku got pregnant; and was suddenly found not pregnant again. The Police arrested and interrogated her only to discover that she was actually the lady that gave birth to the baby and dumped him in the bush.

Either by divine intervention or stroke of luck, the young man responsible for the pregnancy showed up at the police Division. On interrogation by the CP personally, it was discovered that the young man indicated interest to marry the lady but her family turned him down because he was unemployed and does not have a "family name".

On learning about this, CP Garba Baba UMAR psc was depressed and shocked to the marrow. He wondered why somebody can take such rash decision while many are looking for the fruit of the womb for donkey years.

After counselling the duo and without hesitation, he offered a huge amount of money for the rehabilitation of the young man and lady. He said the man should use the cash to start up a business while the lady should acquire any skill of her choice to earn a living for the child and herself.

CP UMAR also made provision for the care of the new born baby and announced automatic scholarship for the baby child while volunteering for his training too. The Commissioner of Police reunited the couple and handed over the baby to them. He also directed the DPO to keep an eye on the family and ensure that the money is used judiciously.

The beneficiaries were so stunned by the benevolence of the CP and shed tears of joy as they appreciated and prayed for him and his family.

Crime'we Need To Talk About Male Rape' - Survivor Speaks Out, 6 Years After by VastFinder(op): 6:01pm On Aug 03, 2017
Stephen was raped in 2011 during the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He described his ordeal in an interview with the BBC's Alice Muthengi, calling for more survivors to come forward.

"I hid that I was a male rape survivor. I couldn't open up - it's a taboo," he said. "As a man, I can't cry. People will tell you that you are a coward, you are weak, you are stupid."

The rape took place when men attacked Stephen's home in Beni. "They killed my father. Three men raped me, and they said: 'You are a man, how are you going to say you were raped?' "It's a weapon they use to make you silent."

After fleeing to Uganda in 2011, Stephen got medical help - but only after a physiotherapist treating him for a back problem realised there was more to his injuries.

He was taken to see a doctor treating survivors of sexual violence, where he was the only man in the ward. "I felt undermined. I was in a land I didn't belong to, having to explain to the doctor how it happened. That was my fear."

Stephen was able to get counselling through the Refugee Law Project, an NGO in Uganda's capital, Kampala, where he was one of six men speaking about their ordeal. But they're far from being the only ones.

"The main reason that fewer men come forward is that people assume they should be invulnerable, they should fight back. They have allowed it so they must be homosexual.

In the Rome Statute [which established the International Criminal Court] you have a definition of rape that is wide enough to include women and men, but in most domestic legislation, the definition of rape involves the penetration of the vagina by the penis.

That means if a man comes forward, they'll be told it wasn't rape, it was sexual assault. There's the problem of criminalisation of same-sex activity - it revolves around penetration of the male body, not around consent or lack of consent," Dr Chris Dolan, director of Refugee Law Project told BBC.

Sports"My Wife's Relatives Will Kill Me If Nigeria Fail To Qualify For World Cup," by VastFinder(op): 8:52am On Aug 03, 2017
Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi says he will be "killed" by his Russian in-laws if he fails with the Super Eagles, to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The Super Eagles currently top Group B with six points. Mikel, 30, who is married to a Russian woman, Olga Diyachenko, says his in-laws will not accept any excuse if Nigeria do not qualify for next year's World Cup.

"My wife is Russian. And many of our relatives and friends are from Russia," Mikel told FIFA.com. "They are all expecting Nigeria to qualify for the next World Cup. I think they will kill me if I fail them."

Looking ahead to the crucial home game against Cameroon in Uyo on August 31, Mikel, who just recovered from injury, expressed confidence that a win for the Super Eagles will edge them closer to Russia.

CrimeSoldier Stabs Motorcyclist To Death, For Shunning Him In Ogun State by VastFinder(op): 8:32am On Aug 03, 2017
Abiola Odedeji has been arrested by the Ogun State police, for stabbing a bike rider, Niyi James, aka Emi-Ero, in different parts of the body.

We learnt that the killer soldier had visited his girlfriend, Amada David, at Agbado Junction around 3.30pm, last Thursday, in company with his colleague, Damilare Oni.

The soldiers went to the area on a power bike. It was gathered that after a short discussion, Odedeji and his girlfriend decided to go out on a motorbike. He was said to have stopped Niyi.

An eyewitness, Akinjobi, revealed that Niyi declined on the grounds that he did not have a ticket to operate in the Ijaiye area. Akinjobi said, “The soldier (Odedeji) was angry that the okada rider said no to a military man and started flogging him with a horsewhip.

Suddenly, he brought out a long knife and stabbed the man on the thigh. He also stabbed him on the waist and stomach. He was so confident that he robbed off the bloodstains on the knife on the man’s head.

He boasted that he had killed many people. He and his colleague escaped on the power bike, while the lady took another motorcycle. We quickly alerted the police.”

A team of policemen, led by the Agbado Divisional Police Officer, CSP Sunday Omonijo, immediately went after the suspects, and arrested them. Odedeji stabbed one of the policemen on the arm in the course of his arrest.

He is part of the troops deployed in Borno State to fight Boko Haram. The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said the suspects would soon be charged to court.

NYSCHow To Apply For NYSC Relocation & Redeployment by VastFinder(op): 7:07am On May 18, 2017
Seeking approval for relocating or redeploying at the NYSC orientation camp can be a daunting task especially for prospective corp members who don’t have genuine reasons why he/she should not serve in the state they have been posted to. Although every youth corper has the right to request for a change of state (NYSC Redeployment Scheme / Relocation), one must have a genuine reason to be able to apply.

This article will state the reasons that the National Youth Service Corp Board will allow for redeployment and list the two ways which you can apply for relocation request and be approved easily.

Acceptable Grounds For Redeployment By The NYSC Board.

Below are the reasons that the NYSC will consider your request to redeploy to another state:

1. Marital grounds: This normally applies to only female corps members who want to move to the state where their husbands live at. A corps member who finds herself in such situation should apply in writing after the swearing-in Ceremony stating why he/she wants to be relocated. The application letter should be addressed to the Director-General through the State Coordinator. Since you are applying on marital ground, you are to attach the following:
*. A valid marriage certificate
*. A document showing change of name in any of the National Newspapers and Affidavit
*. A letter from your husband’s workplace which will serve as an evidence that your husband is domiciled in the state you want to relocate to.

2. Health/Medical grounds: This reason are for those who have extreme or reoccurring illnesses which requires that they be monitored closely. You will need a medical report from your institution’s medical centre or from a recognized hospital. Please note that these claims on health grounds are subject to further confirmation to establish its authenticity.

3. Security grounds: While there are best states to serve as a youth corper in Nigeria, there are some states affected by the Boko Haram insurgents and they are: Borno, Adamawa, Gombe, Yobe, and other Northern states in that region. It is no news that parents and guardians won’t even allow their children go for the orientation exercise at the camp talk more of serving in such state.

How To Apply For NYSC Relocation & Redeployment (Approved Ways)

1. Applying within the camp: This is one way for the you can write you letter of redeployment is by applying for it while on camp. It is within the 21 days duration orientation course on camp that interested Corp members will have the opportunity reapply for relocation at the second week on camp. Normally, a form will be given out to the interested corper to fill. As stated above, the corper would have to state the reason he or she to relocation, providing proof as evidence. You will also be asked to submit an application letter for redeployment together with the form.

2. Applying online after camp :It was difficult or rather an impossible task to get relocation approval after the 21 days orientation camping is over. The NYSC board has now made it possible to easily apply online for relocating even after the camp is over. You need not wait to get your approval for relocation after 3 months as you can get approved for relocation even after 2 weeks of application.

Below is How to apply for NYSC Relocation and Redeployment Online
1. Visit the [NYSC Official Website http://www.nysc.gov.ng/]

2. Sign in with your email and password (same as the ones you earlier used in registering on the portal)

3. Click on “Relocation”

4. Fill in your details appropriately into the fields provided.

You will be notified afterwards through text messages and mails about developments on your application (whether it was approved or rejected).

How to Print the Online NYSC Relocation and Redeployment Letter Easily

1. Visit the Official NYSC Portal.

2. Log in with your email ..and password.

3. Click on Manage Relocation.

4. Make a payment of #1000 (one thousand Naira only) and wait for it to redirect you after successful payment

5. Print your payment receipt which will serve as your evidence of successful payment after printing your NYSC Relocation letter online.

CareerMTN NG Salary Structure: Salary Of MTN Nigeria Telecommunications Plc by VastFinder(op): 2:02am On May 16, 2017
Working for MTN Nigeria can be a good way to boost your career in the telecommunications industry. Without doubt, this company has proven to be the biggest network provider in Nigeria surpassing its competitors ETISALAT, GLO and the likes.

Never the less, it would be fair to know how much MTN Nigeria pays their workers, from the entry level staffs, specialists staff and even the managers working in MTN whether their salary structure is worth the hype or not.

MTN Nigeria Entry Level Staffs Salary?
Entry level staff working for MTN earns N960 000 in a year which is somewhat low compared to other highest paying companies in Nigeria. The amount above means that an MTN entry level staff is paid N80 000 per month.

MTN Nigeria Specialist Staffs Salary
The company pays its specialist about N4 to N4.6 million per annum. Although, the figures might look a bit large, you would have to work your way to this position. It is also said that a specialist staff is paid a salary of about N390, 000 in a month.

MTN Nigeria Managers Salary
This is one of the highest roles in MTN as you start earning a salary higher than both an entry level staff and a specialist. MTN Nigeria pays its managers a salary of about N9, 300 000 per annum. That is N775 000 per month.

The above is the amount of money or salaries MTN pay to their staff monthly and yearly. So what’s your take on the salary structure of MTN Nigeria.
