bbaby84: Dear vcole,
It seems you didn't read my post properly. I saw all the ones you quoted . They were more of introductions and questions but no feed back.
You applauded someone's transcript above and said that was the way to go but I never saw any of yours neither did I read about your hospital breakdown.
No feedback that I had an interview and was granted a visa and that I was thankful to all for the help? Hospital breakdown on top martell and del sol when we don flood time line with as at then? Oya sorry say I no tok with full details, Aunty no vex. However full details was not even the issue at hand abi? Point is Kenny's post came off a bit suspicious especially the part where the VO asked for who the doctor was and she (he) gave one "off the top of her (his?) Head. And then the VO advised to ensure an appointment is booked before travelling. I mean, maybe I am an "unbeliever" but it sounds incredulous to me. That sort of question is usually the deal breaker. Back in 2014 a lot of people were refused visas for bot havinh a letter from their ob/gyn directly. That being said, my opinion doesn't count as fact abi? I can be doubtful all I want. I don't understand your defender of the universe stance but no be everything man pickin go understand. You can help Kenny with doctor info now sha especially as the b2 visa has been granted now. She (he?) really needs it. Happy New year once again |

(Quote) (Report) (Share) Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by vcole: 10:08pm On Sep 08, 2014 Congrats to all those who have been granted their visas recently. Well,as regards doctoresparati, El paso is a border state. Anyone who bothered to look up the area before would know that. It's public info. Like any border state,eg lagos/seme in our own country, illegal immigrants always have access one way or the other. So it's not a big deal. It didn't start today either. I believe doctoresparati decided to set up their maternity service legally so they can capture immigrant clientele who are genuine and wanna pay. Personally, they make it easy, anyone who has read their medical responsibility letter would know it was carefully written. Anyway, I found out about them on nairaland and I can imagine how many other people have. So,I'm pretty sure the embassy is getting a lot of their letters. The CO at my interview also asked me why I am opting for them instead of other hospitals. In my opinion,as long as you.have all the other requirements, no one is gonna be able to just deny you.a visa based on your choice of health care provider. That being said,it's always better to research all your options and pick what works best for you.
DISCLAIMER - I'm not a doctoresparati agent oh! Ain't getting no referral fees oh! I'm not advertising oh! Lol! (Quote) (Report) 5 Likes (Share) |

Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by vcole: 1:56pm On Aug 12, 2014 amash: hmm houston....#thinking# am a first time mum and havent even started my antenatal. am four month gone....still choosy on what hospital here in abuja for ante natal and what state in the u.s for delivery.... i guess am not on track! someone scold me please.... my work schedule is tight though.....#smh#
Good day Nairalanders! Amash, it's okay. You should start antenatal though, you have to make time for your baby bust schedule or not.. I also delayed in making up my mind about where to deliver. Only submitted my visa app about 3 weeks ago. Had my interview today. It was easy breezy.thanks to God and thanks to this forum. The visa officer asked why I was traveling and I told him to have my baby. He asked if I had contacted any hospital, I said yes and he asked to see any doc showing that, I gave him d letter. He asked what I do, I'm not working at d moment and so I told him. He asked what my husband does, I told him He asked what d cost of d trip was, I gave him a spread sheet and then he asked to see bank statements, I showed him. Then he said my.visa has been approved and I should ensure I keep all my receipts "forever and ever" I laughed and said thanks. All of this took about 3-5mins. A couple of people were rejected when I was there, including another pregnant lady. I believe she didn't come out straight to say she was gonna have her baby there, the.VO had to drag it outta her. All in.all,I'm grateful to God and all of you who helped with your tips. (Quote) (Report) 9 Likes (Share) |

aunty bbaby84 i gave my visa transcript, look through my posts biko. had my baby in october 2014 in el paso and even boarded the same flight with some nairalanders and we had a ball. you certainly did not see me coming here to ask for a recommendation for a doctor after applying for a visa already. preparedness means that you already have options for a doctor. this is irrespective of having procured a visa or not. it is simple common sense. bearing in mind that i am from thread 1 and 2 i do not expect you to know who i am or better still be privy to my child's photos or info. since you are not the person whom i fbi-ed or cia-ed, abeg chop happy new year for me for 2016 and drop your albeit baseless mic. bbaby84: Madam vcole, I looked through your posts and there was no time you came to share your visa transcript, the baby due in October we didn't hear about, there was a post where you were disclaiming to be an agent, you wanted to give birth in El -paso we didnt read break down/ experience. I can go on and on. Why not be a little kinder? The person and scenario you called out was very possible no big deal about it and she was honest about her intentions. Besides, not everyone joins NL because of giving birth in America, there are loads of other resourceful threads. It's almost New Year, biko take it easy. Happy New year in advance. |

you mentioned a doctor off the top of your head? so what correspondence did you give? cos the rules clearly state that you should have contacted a doctor who is ready to accept medical responsibility. Hospital correspondence only shows their fees and policy. You are the one giving summarized stories (maybe phony too). To come here asking for Atl doctors when that has been flogged and beaten to death and even buried in the other parts just seems phony. I am very sure that your "correspondence" clearly states that they are exclusive of physician fees. VO advised you to book a doctor's appointment? #miraculousvisathings LWKMD!!!! Plus you have been a registered nairalander since 2007 with interests in other random albeit male-seeming kinda posts - building and recruitment. and since 2007, all of a sudden you post on dec 29th, 2015 asking about Atl docs. maybe i have watched too much fiction sha. |

Hi. Renew via drop box in 2016. if you are due in August, then it means you should be travelling some time June-ish. So you should plan to renew well in advance. Fill a ds160 form for a B2 visa and make sure you have all your doctor and hospital correspondence and all other documents just incase you get called for an interview. However, you can opt not to renew your visa and send a letter of intent via email to the embassy before you travel and hope to be stamped in for 6 months on arrival at poe. Apeke1991: Hello everyone . Good job everyone is doing God bless you all . I have been following this thread since 2013. Now I am married and just discovered I am pregnant . Been reading all pages . But I think my case is a little perculiar . I have had 2 usa visas , used the first one in 2010 while The recent one is meant to expire July 2016 . But unfortunately since last year I applied I haven't had time to use it . My due date is August 2016 1. can I renew before it expires? 2. Is it a crime not to use ur visa ? 3. Please does any one know about any affordable hospitals in Reno, Nevada.? Been searching but haven't found . Please I will be happy to recieve advices |

Hi. well, if "father" lol! is still around when baby arrives, then you do not need a ds3053 aka notarised consent form. he will go along with you to the passport office. however if he is absent when baby arrives, then he would have to download and print out and fill a ds3053 and get it notarised at the us consulate in lagos or abuja alongside a copy of his passport biodata page and send by courier to you. ideally, he should not notarise consent for application for the baby's passport prior to the baby's birth, seeing as at the date of consent, the baby was not "technically" in existense yet.although some people have done this in the past, but some passport offices do not accept those, mine didn't. although that was over a year ago so my info may be obsolete. lol! bizzle6: Good morning house, it seems baby would be arriving late, father is currently around but might have to leave before baby's passport can be done, would like to know how to go about the notarization letter for the passport as hubby is still in the US. Thanks so much. |

read it again. the journalist certainly implied that it was cbn policy especially as he splashed Emefele's face on the front page. however, it is more of a starvation of forex leading to decisions by banks to limit dollar denominated spending on naira cards with a last resort already being effected by certain banks to stop this altogether. knowing Nigeria, there is no smoke without fire. soon all the banks will toe the same path. favoredgal: That's the journalist : publication that has blown this out of proportion according to them
Anyways let's be looking jare |

@favoredgal yea, i think its up to the intending mom to discuss what her options are with her ob/gyn. every delivery choice is individualised. so if she fulfills criteria for a vd, then she should let her ob know that that is her preferred mode of delivery. however, as with all pregnancies, even more so with twin gestation, the possibility of a c-section lurks in the corner if at any point in time, the mother and/or babies are at risk. Meanwhile, your baby never pop? hahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!
@nuptial, since u earlier stated that your account had to be "zerorised" as a result of business matters and have about 4 months to build up between now and ur dw's interview, why not get your statement for 1 year or even from jan 2015 till said interview date? This would give a clearer picture of things. my 2 cents.
The stoppage of use of naira-denominated atms for forex denominated transactions is a cbn directive. so it cuts across all banks and takes effect on Jan 1st, 2016. so its not limited to china, uae or other african countries, its everywhere and also limits purchase online with our cards as well. |

you were really calm. thumbs up. at my interview....the same you should know better, profs and all talk came up (i'm a doc as well) but i was also polite and explained how i do not desire to be a statistic in our maternal mortality index thanks to lack of infrastructure. Popri: To think I was so calm during that ordeal is unbelievable...All I can say is that God was with me, coz she kept repeating I will cancel your visa, but I was very calm and I spoke softly and clearly looking straight into her eyes, and i saw that look in her eyes like "won't you beg me"? You can't change their minds, you can only try to convince them and pray to God so begging was not something I even thought of

Hi nuptial. The advise is to go with a minimum of 6 months' bank statement updated no more than 30 days to your interview (basically printed out within 30 days of your interview). However you can take a year's statement or more to your interview, there is nothing wrong. I took 1 year's statement, others have taken 8 months, some others 13 months. nupital: Thanks again for the reply!
The bank statement has been inconsistent for some months now. I have a project that i am doing and its zeros my balance. With this new development, i would stop the project and concentrate on funding the account appropriately. I can start that this month till March/April we intend applying. But that would only be a solid 4-5 months statement. Confused!
Reason for Wife's visa first:
Since i have been refused based on my family and siblings being in the US and no strong ties to Nigeria, i want my wife to apply first, then i go after she has been given.
Thanks yet again! |

The hotel, ground transportation and 1 day free visa only applies when there is no other connecting flight on your date of travel with a shorter transit time as at the time of your booking. thought i was eligible when i tried this on one of my previous flights, until I was politely educated on the policy by the ever so courteous Emirates staff. nefertitiram: Alaroro sister like me! shabbey09: Thanks Nasadiva, i thought so too. A friend was saying i should book an hotel reservation instead and use their details
what do you think? Use your doctor and hospital address as US contact. Ensure that as a precautionary measure ur doc can give you correspondence in the eventuality (albeit rare) that you get called for an interview. Book a hotel or extended stay and fill that as "address where you will stay in the US" |
