Many don't know what the cross is. Pitifully, the few who know, have unfortunately dropped their cross due to one thing or the other. Today's teaching is captioned "DON'T DROP YOUR CROSS"

Luke 9:22-24 King James Version

The CROSS the Lord is talking about here is not the one He carried to Golgotha. Cause, He said this at the beginning of his ministry when He has not been betrayed. If you study the Bible portion above, He was telling those that are following him, that they too much carry their own cross daily as He is carrying his own. Which means carrying the cross should be a daily activity to every christian. Verse 22 defined some of the cross the Lord carried. While verse 24 defined the cross all of us must carry.
To lose one's life is not merely been martyred or killed for the Gospel. There are some late saints in ages past, who weren't killed for the Gospel, yet they lost their lives for the Gospel. Been killed for the Gospel is part of the cross though, however, it's obvious that no one can be killed daily. The CROSS the Lord tells you and I to carry daily, is to ENDURE any condition, pains, situation or anything that GLORIFIES GOD, PROGRESSES THE WILL OF GOD AND TRIGGERS THE SALVATION OF OTHERS. And to indefinitely suspend anything that's contrary to these 3 plans, even as some of the early disciples suspended their lucrative businesses, pleasure, respect, fame, riches, etc.

THOUGH THE CROSS LOOKS FOOLISHNESS TO THE WORLD, DON'T DROP IT. IT DEFINES POWER IN THE KINGDOM, IT'S THE CENTER OF THE STORY OF THE SCRIPURES, IT CONQUERS SIN AND DEATH, IT VANQUISHES THE DEVIL, ETC.

YOU ARE ALSO PRIDEFUL, IF YOU hardly apologise, ask for help, take correction, hardly submit to authority. YOU ARE EQUALLY PRIDEFUL WHEN YOU talk about yourself a lot, see yourself as too good to perform certain tasks, feel the need to consistently teach people things, consistently critical, look down on others, associate with only influential people, find it difficult to greet others first, agnor some people's atempt to communicate with you, etc.

There are 3 antidotes to pride. The 1st is to read the whole of 1corinthians 13 and practice it. 2nd, always pray before taking major decisions. Lastly, learn the acts of humility.
