Foreign AffairsRe: I Will Not Surrender - Gaddafi by velo10: 6:26am On Sep 02, 2011
Gadaffi has obviously lost power over Libya. When the power was waning his government decided to set up democratic elections within the next few months but the rebels and the West rejected the offer. Now he is not fighting to rule again. He is fighting for his pride and life cos he knows if the rebels capture him, they would kill him like Saddam

But Libyan people begged for NATO intervention.

Even many people were concerned that NATO intervention (no fly zone) was necessary to prevent mass killing in Benghazi.
What happened in Benghazi was a protest where people went into army barracks to steal weapons as an insurrection against the government. The government like any other in the world would react and people unfortunately will die. The incident was overhyped and Gadaffi who has not had any mass killings on his record was suddenly made a monster. A prerequisite for the invasion. Those who asked for intervention were his opposition. Why not let nations handle and manage their conflicts than external violent interventions. So far more than 50,000 people have died. Thanks to the lenghtened NATO war

It is time deal with this terrorist once and for all.
America shud come cos we're too incompetent to solve our own problems, right?

International Issues where OBJ earned my respect.

- He stood against the war in Iraq
- He never agreed with the West against Mugabe
- His peace mediations in Liberia and Sudan. Although he tricked Charles Taylor by accepting him and later delivering him to the World court.
- His stance against NATO interference in Libya.

Despite this man's flaws, for standing for the African interest and not being a Yes-man to the West, he deserves commendations

Why is Libya not the most livable city in Africa or the world? As Gaddafi followers laid claim to here!. I thought Libyan cities are the best in Africa! M.o.r.o.n.s!
You're the mor0n . You didn't even read the first post completely before making your claims. People I know who have been to Tripoli describe it as even more beautiful than European cities. Check out pictures for yourself

[quote}
The “Arab Spring” has hurt livability ratings of cities in the Middle East and North Africa, with Tripoli – which has unraveled into street fighting in recent weeks – ranking among the worst cities for the first time (the survey was done in July, before the rebel assault).

Oh please I wasn't advertising. I was dropping my number so someone who wanted to sell a modem could contact me. The way nairaland is these days, one has to hold his breath before posting with the fear of getting banned. Thanx to mr antispam bot

FamilyRe: Picture Of Young Children Hawking Moin-Moin: Child Abuse? by velo10: 1:39pm On Aug 31, 2011
Yeah I said the parents/guardians should be jailed. A child does not deserve to go through such trauma at early stages of their lives like this. These children are far too underaged to begin this work. What the parents are doing is using the children to make money for themselves at such an early age. Well Nigeria is not a civilized society yet for a proper address to this issue
FamilyRe: Picture Of Young Children Hawking Moin-Moin: Child Abuse? by velo10: 10:33am On Aug 31, 2011
Their parents/guardians should be jailed immediately and the government should do something better about their welfare.

Nigeria lacks proper child welfare organisations. That's why things could aggravate to this.

Nigerian security are obviously a big joke. We have had numerous bombings since last year with no single suspect convicted for doing so. We're certainly living on God's mercies.

Beyond The Condemnation Of UN House Bomb Attack!‏ -Femi Falana

We join the government and people of Nigeria in condemning the bombing of the United Nations Building in Abuja last Friday. We also sympathize with the bereaved families of the deceased and others who were injured in the dastardly attack.

It is a national shame that some of the injured survivors have to be flown abroad for treatment since the National Hospital in Abuja is ill equipped to treat them . After 12 years in power the peoples democratic party led federal government should explain what has happened to all the funds allocated for the refurbishment of the National Hospital that it has no pint of blood in its bank.

However, beyond condemnations Nigerians should take the bomb blast as a challenge to protect themselves since President Goodluck Jonathan has confessed that he himself is not safe! Since Nigerians have become cheap targets in the hands of assassins, kidnappers, armed robbers and terrorists the National Assembly should as a matter of urgency comply with section 220 of the Constitution which states that "The Federation shall establish and maintain adequate facilities for carrying into effect any Act of the National Assembly providing for compulsory military training or military service for citizens of Nigeria".
-Femi Falana.
I agree with Femi Falana on this. If the government can't protect us, they should empower us to protect ourselves.

Why are you acting like he took the presidential position to play good politics for Nigerians. He took it simply cos it's the biggest office in the country and there are lots to benefit from it. This guy wont quit no matter what no matter how incompetent he is. Expect him to run for another term in 2015.

narttis1:
when did the civillian protesters whom Gadaffi was supposedly killing turn into a rebel army that became more sophisticated than the libyan military?  huh
The so-called civilian protesters were stealing weapons in the army barracks. Government troops were sent to stop the weapon looting and people died in the process. That became the excuse for the NATO bombings. Also the rebels were armed by France and the Qatari puppets

@Dauchman, It's not that they are not so smart. They've been brainwashed by too much CNN and Aljaeera

My post was also deleted. I was informing someone to contact me about a modem.
