I don't think anybody will give you his/her property documents so you can get a loan as your friend suggested regardless of payment, the risk is just too high, if you don't pay up when you're suppose to, the the property owner losses the property, and in this day of no trust, 419 etc i doubt if you'll be able to find someone that would even partner with you but goodluck anyway.

i was about 6 at the time, i asked my mum where babies came from as our neighbour just gave birth at the time, i adored the baby so much and i wanted one so i asked my mum, she told me they came from the hospital but you have to be a female adult, i then asked her to go to the hospital and get one, she then said the adult has to be sick, to think i actually pray hard that my mum should fall sick so she can get one for me, i never got my wish of cause and i remained the last born.

You might have been a victim but that don't mean you should go about cheating, you must have have felt pain or even maybe a sort of humiliation when it happened to you, why inflict the same on a love one all in the name of being a real man as you stated, love is not about what you say but about what you do.

It's impossible, N500,000 or less to fence 2 plots of land? The contractor carrying out the project does not matter here, the bottom line is that, it is not just possible with that figure. it's a different thing if the poster decided to spend just that amount to secure the land.

No! that is a wrong impression, you don't need an excellent salary  before you build a house but you need to have the will, the determination and the belief that you can do it, then plan for it, you will see yourself building a house out of nothing. Like you said above, the young graduate will have to have really strong will power, imagine this scenario; young graduate, been searching for a job for the last 2-3 years (even more sometimes), then suddenly, got a job but the pay is not really that great (minimum wage, was now desperate that he had to take the job), by the time he got this job, he had ran up quite a lot of debts (transportation, living expenses etc while unemployed), lets now say it took him over a year to pay his debt, let also remember that he'll still have to pay his way even if he still lives at home, let now say he wants a small car, that could take him say another 2 years if not more to save up for this (the amount will not be enough to buy a land, do the papers and then build a house). Adding up this years will equals to 5-6 years or even more,  he'll no longer be a young graduate after this time, that is why i stated earlier that he/she has an excellent job upon graduating or a least a good job, (although, when i made the statement, i had just Nigeria in mind, but the case could be different for international graduates). Yes it's very possible for people to build their own home no matter how much they earn, it may take a long time or even a lifetime but it's very possible,the article is quite good.

It may have been you've had bad experience with people you trusted in the past, if this is the case, you've got to learn to trust people all over again, i know that it can be a very hard if it's due to bad experience in the past but you've got to learn to at least give benefit of the doubt, i personally do not trust anybody 100% but i can still trust up to 90% leaving 10% for room for error.

i think it depends on the occasion, in the day time, its nice to have a fresh look , hence natural makeup is a nice option but on special occassions, parties or weddings one can highlight facial features such as dramatic eyes. The problem with a lot of nigerian women is that they just don't know how to wear makeup. I like tattoos if i see it on other people, but i don't think i would ever have one done, i came close sometimes ago to have one done on my arm (arm band) but have a change of heart when i remember it wasn't going to be in vogue for ever and i may come to dislike it.

You are certainly right by that statement Sleekfun, i bought 2 plot of land at lekki some few years back at, i sold a plot last year and use the income from the one plot to build my bungalow, i even had some money left after from the sale after the bungalow as built.

One way to find out is to take the documents to the land registry for a search as Bac suggested, another way is to use the service of a lawyer to conduct all  necessary search, the second way is a way i would normally advice as it'll will give you peace of mind in the long run.
