Cuddlemii: maybe we should play a gameListening. . . . |
Er, this thread bores now ![]() I'm going back into hibernation |
ghen ghen. . . . . |
Cuddlemii: Interesting! How old are you, aunty? HumbledbYGrace: I read the poem,ur quiet a KNIGHT I must addArigatou gozaimasu! |
Correct. That was a adead giveaway though. So, there is the trend. Feel free to create your own quizzes. But don't post the answer till the next day so people can get in on it. |
https://www.nairaland.com/1058115/poetry https://www.nairaland.com/1058194/guess-author-book I opened these two for now. Dunno if they will be any good yet. I'm having a slow day |
The aim of the thread is apparent. We're to give clues of a book and then everybody else guesses who the author is. It is permitted to research even if one hasn't read the book. Rules: Three clues are to be given; First one should encrypt the name of the books/author Second one should say some vague fact about the author/book. Third clue should say something about the book itself. I will demonstrate. Guess the name of the author: 1. His breakout book had something to do with a manuscript 2. Author is dead now 3. The main character in his only trilogy would be James Bond's rival if they existed together Now y'all will guess the name of the author. I will give the answer no less than 24 hours after I have posted. Dunno if it will catch fire as I hope or if it will even be fun at all ![]() |
And such a beautiful boy too. I'm so sorry. And, um, a word of advice for you're still young. Be more careful what you share with strangers on the internet. The world is such a effed up place. That said, my deepest condolences. And no death At least not in your face death. |
HumbledbYGrace: Nah man, death and love scares me but I think they r go along because wen a relationship ends something in u also leaves u behind. But here death to me is somehowOh Lord, I am very sorry. I couldn't have imagined such a thing or how that must have felt and still feels. |
CrazyMan: Sup...hope you've kept our ladies busy...we wouldn't want them to get bored - now. Would we?The ladies don't like me. Cuddlemii: Today, I confirmed hbg is a real female.Same person with who? |
Oh dear. Almost everything I write has to with someone dying I have a morbid fascination with death I guess. But also, with love. But not the sickly, immature running through the meadows hand in hand love. Dark, deep and deadly love, yeah, that's my ish |
Lovely poems Firestar. I wish this was like twitter where I could comment on each of em. I'll just "like" em instead. ![]() |
CrazyMan: Hi manHello Crazyman ![]() |
Cuddlemii: ^Oh, please! start a thread already! As ze lady wishes. Though i'm gonna be doing something a tad personal on the Poetry childboard. I will recycle ideas of old though. There really is nothing new under the sun, ya dig? |
Conscience On his black stallion he watches He watches the moon rise over the small city The small city he will conquer before dawn One dawn more among many, many dawns He looks to his left at the flag waving in the breeze The waving flag carrying a gruesome insignia An insignia that holds to him meaning no more No more meaning than the highest bidder His gaze now, beyond the waving flag Almost in a trance, as the hour draws near And tugging at his chest the familiar feeling he totes A pulsing feeling of dishonor hither His gaze returns to the crested flag As he holds back a traitorous tear In the gleaming moonlight, as his sight hazes, he notes With this dawn, the last of his conscience will wither |
I must warn you, dear reader, that my poems veer towards the dark. Even when I write about love, there's a piercing melancholy about it. This is because I believe sadness is the deepest and one of the purest emotions. Sadness can be beautiful. Apologies in advance. And please, feel free to critique. This is the reason for posting them. And of course the perverse need for validation that humans are afflicted with ![]() |
^^^ He's 26 or something. Moving on. . . . . . Soooo, I guess I have to shut up about starting thread and actually start it. But I don't wanna. Instead I might just go resurrect some old ones |
Hi Cuddles. ![]() Hi everyone else ![]() |
You light up my beard and Imma grow it back. Guess what can't grow back? Your head off your neck ![]() |
Awww, so long. Am I permitted to say awww on here. I guess I can be permitted this one F-up. 'Sides, if you don't like it, rant your tail off. |
Last movie I saw was Men In Black. I couldn't quite remember if the others were this rubbish or whether I was too young to notice. But as the movie went along I was digging it. it has its own set of rules for comedy so you don't wanna expect things to make sense (especially their chrome cheap looking gadgets). Then the ending quite literally blew me away. Many more serious films struggle with time travel concepts but this one left virtually no lose ends. It was a cyclical time travel. I enjoyed seeing one of the bad guys in Boardwalk Empire make a total fool of himself too. The villain in the film was interesting too. Actors, pfff. They are soulless Good film, and a good nostalgic wrap up. Ignore the stupidity and just go with the flow. 6/10 |
Lol. These days great films are hard to come by and my attention span is getting shorter. I can't do cinemas again unless it's a really really good film. I watch films in three parts now. That's why I watch more series |
Bump |
Hmmmn. Kids that are actually kids, adults that turn out to be kids. Interesting. *Rubs beard* I liked that thingie you wrote, Sino. I suppose it was from the Book of Rants. (c) No comments on many many things. ![]() How's the gang? |
Yup, y'all be doing more than tripping. Now le voices in le head. Some S.O.B. musta put glue in my eyes and I can't keep em open for long. Just as well as the paper hustle continues tomorrow. Y'all have sweet dreams, well, sweeter dreams for y'all be dreaming already. ![]() Arrivederci |
Apparently one cannot even say teet on here. Pfff |
And it's alright if you dunno what the hell I was talking about. I dunno meself. I must be high on this garri I just ingested. Et tu, Sino? I see talk. I don't see threads being opened |
Cuddlemii: apologies for the awkwardness.Been fun to see. It was tat for tit for tat back again. What goes around comes around; that's why I go through the middle. Booyah!!!! |
Oi, Sino. Open a thread to critique and enjoy poems. It is along the lines of one of the threads I wanted to open but you do it. Don't be shy. |
