Tom's teeth was extensively worked on. Well, so's Jolie. And boys have always had the hots for her. I like Cruise as an actor (especially in Spielberg films and A few good men) but as a person, let's just say he creeps me out. I actually think Scientology is quite cool sans the gay community.

Aww, cara. Why is this?

Armageddon was sublime. Even now. Have you seen Nam Angels? It's a war film since I was a kid. I just wanted show the semblance. Picking low-lifes to become literally super-heros/matyrs. Thank God that thing didn't spoil it with his unbelievable appaling lack of talent. iice will know who I mean. He was so bad, Willis didn't have to act when he was chasing him with a shotgun. lipsrsealed

Everyone is saying the same thing. It's one thing to know what you're missing. I'm just learning of most of these films now. I don't like Tom Cruise. And it has nothing to do with his acting. He gets it right more often than not. With the animation thingie. It'll be a close call because I like everything I see in that category. But Wall-E gets better nods.

Maxie, give Karma a break now. She did say she didn't think Bardem and whatshisface deserved nomination, and Cruz was the only real worthy person in the Barcelona something or the other. You don't post as often as before, Max, what gives?

What's up, cara?

Blue. You're too sweet. I mean that from my bottomless heart.

There are two sparrows in my room

I'll let em be

I need the company

Especially now, that I'm so pissed

I wish I could bar recycled messages

Ones that feign feeling

But surely fails at even that

If you 'flash' me, I'd appreciate that

In the stead of sending me crap out of a cheap 100bucks for 100 text messages book.

It's the most annoying thing in the world.

Plus it doesn't even make any sense.

Archetypical stuff: "I have a new life because of you", "You're my everything and my everything is you", "Love conquers all, and love between friends is special because it's truest.", "Look at the moon, bla bla bla", "Close your eyes and bla bla bla"

There should be a law against fake emoting. I say mostly what I mean. Most of the time. This one of those times.

This is a legit rant. The comic side is just because I can't help it

I don't know how the sparrows got here. The door you say? OK.

My sis is five and one half.
TV/Movies › Re: Nigeria On American Tv Shows by vescucci(m): 11:44am On Dec 16, 2008
Yeah, Spikyn. Unfortunately, I never made the connection myself until you mentioned it. There have been a lot of "on location" and naija actors in many series. I don't know why this is as countries like Angola, Congo, and north African countries were usually favoured before.
TV/Movies › Re: Golden Globe 2008 Nominees by vescucci(m): 11:42am On Dec 16, 2008
Well said, Karma. I personally don't like action movies getting nominated for anything else but technicalities. TDK is a rare departure. It should/must get something. But QoS? No no! Even though I haven't seen it.

By the way, I was thinking the same thing with y'all. I was complaining that activity this year has been pretty boring except for a few movies but now I think the best movies might be the ones being saved for last. I got work to do.

My God, I can't believe you're comparing the two! On what grounds?

Yeah, I guess you're right. I totally forgot about the drowning. But you gotta admit that at some point, Jackman wasn't driven by revenge any longer but by a blind desire to better the other dude who unknowingly to him he'd already bettered. The Bale twins were using a cheap trick. But you're still right. They both had it coming. Bale started it.
TV/Movies › Re: Time's Top 10 Movies of 2008 by vescucci(m): 11:27am On Dec 16, 2008
TDK should be in any list. I was gonna say maybe they made the list before TDK was released but apart from that being nonsense, the reviewer mentioned TDK as a yardstick when he/she was reviewing one of the said top ten. The list is very apt and deserving but TDK should be in it. Especially if Slumdog Millionaire could make it. That brings me to something else. I think the best of each genre was picked; Noir, animation, minimalist, documentary, drama, action, independent, etc. That's just a thought though.

Shortly after my bro failed in his mission to gather intel on what Moms was cooking, my sis reacted by saying "you mess up". I've told my brother's to watch their language around her before she walks up to someone and says "what big sausage you have!"

Are you guys going to show up now?
Literature › Re: My Book Of Rants! by vescucci(m): 1:46pm On Dec 15, 2008
Today is a slow day, eh? Peeps are giving me a berth, hmmmmmn. Tgirl, will you stick with me forever? Wait, don't answer that! I've been thinking of my little sis. I once asked her to close my door and she said "I don't know my name again and I don't know where the door is"

If you guys don't show up, I'll continue with my sis' funny mannerisms.

Kay9 isn't bursting vessels no longer. Now his vessels plus their container go fiery.

Ah, Blue, You know I'd never hurt your feelings or any other cum Blue. Force Majuere was at work and I couldn't help disappearing. Now I'm tentatively back.
TV/Movies › Re: Hollywood directors: Rate or hate? What's your Take? by vescucci(op): 12:42pm On Dec 15, 2008
I hate that the list is this long. I just saw a movie that blew me away. Plus I absolutely didn't hear anything about it until I saw it. It's called Surf's up. Surf's up is now like my #4 favorite animation.

If I were the peeps at the academy, I'd cut that list to, Cloverfield. Every other thing is so so to me. Even Spielberg's (I say this with utmost reluctance)

Y'all have been ranting each other's socks off (y'all can be roughly translated into Ariblaze, Ariblaze, and, Ariblaze)

How have y'all been? (In this context, the normal meaning of y'all applies)

Tgirl, S'up?

You do know it's only fair if you profile Bluespice, Sisijinx, et al?

Ooh yeah. The prestige is my second third most favorite Nolan movie next to TDK and Memento. I don't know why you chics are being sentimental about Hugh's character though. Sure, he got a bad deal but it wasn't Bale's fault. Granted Hugh was a better magician but he also had great funding, a wise mentor/assistant and more fame. He was self-centered and too proud. But in the end, sha, they both got what was coming to them. Lovely films.

P. S. I forget characters names shortly after every movie, sorry. grin

Very interesting read y'all! I've still not seen Superman. I want to keep it that way. My fingers are crossed for TDK. To me, it's a no-brainer but the Academy has surprised me on more than a fair number of occasions.

I'm unfortunately not going to be able to keep up my postings for the next two weeks or so. This is due to circumstances beyond my control. I might come once in a while to ruffle Ariblaze's hair or make that male animalistic sound that makes chics go into heat.  grin But seriously it's just gonna be for 2 weeks. Besides I need a break from this here place. On a lighter note, there was this poem my friend wrote. It actually inspired the 'rant' I posted earlier. I thought y'all might like it. I did. It is untitled.

As a musician would think with his mind

So he was thinking with feeling, thus giving lie

To the notion that men cannot think without words

Is that true?

What a silly tangent to go off at this time!

He looked up to the sky

Gauging what light still remained

And how long it would last

And then, inconsequentially, a picture jumped to his mind

If only he had been older or life had been younger

Rich and warm and beautiful as this land is

Rich and warm and beautiful as its people

Rich and warm and beautiful as their dreams

Rich and warm and beautiful as their laughter

Rich and warm and beautiful as the hope within them

That has been betrayed and that must be restored

It’s getting dark now, come on

Come on!

I'll miss you guys, sniff sniff. cry

Mama Mia. I'vebeen quite good but I'm not so thrilled by the prospect of the next few days coming up. How've YOU been? Plus where? Forget that dude. He was embarassing Willis who happens to be a favorite of mine. Seems like Pan's Labyrinth made a great impression on you. You used to see things when you were a kid, Max? Tell the truth!
