You obviously are either one of these;

-You ain't attracted to him anymore

-You are dealing with a modern-day Jekyll & Hyde persona.

Either way, make tracks!

Aww, you're gonna make me cry my eyes out. Our thread wouldn't be going under if you'd show up here more. You jump start my brain. When you ain't here my brain hibernates. Kay9 too does that but he doesn't even show up half as much as you.

For schizzle my nizzle! I love my toys, yessir, I do. I'm also very sentimental. I'm what you'd call the finished article, hehe grin. Seriously though while I like gadgets, I can't put up with it if there's no underlying point behind it all.

You're welcome, but I usually don't compliment people. Seems like flattery. I just point out what I see. If it makes you happy, well, that's a bonus right there. You're just so young at heart, if I could have an older sis, I'd want her to be like you. Now I mean that. So don't say "thank you, that's so sweet"

Y'all seem to the having a ball.

@Max, Like Mr. Freeman in Boondocks, "I happen to think a guy looks good with a ponytail but, uh uh, I'm not gay"

And I don't wanna be either!
TV/Movies › Re: What's Your Most Memorable Moment In TV History? by vescucci(m): 1:33pm On Nov 15, 2008
Definitely most of the ones already posted. At least the ones I got to know about on live TV.

Abacha's demise. I was little so I really didn't know how his death would affect me or the country. Everybody hated him so I guess I was happy, in a detached way.

9-11 massacre. COuldn't believe it was for real. Really glum day.

Atlanta 96. Wow what a day. This one caps it all.

Princess Diana's demise. Funny, this one. I only got to know her as a result of her death. She was never really in spotlight. At least not my spotlight.

Why hasn't anybody added Obama's declaration as the President-elect to the list?
TV/Movies › Re: Best Thriller Movies Ever. by vescucci(m): 1:23pm On Nov 15, 2008
I wish the owner of the thread would remove the 'thriller' in the title and just leave movies. My favorites movies comprise of everything from drama to comedy.
TV/Movies › Re: What Series Are You Watching Now? by vescucci(m): 3:22pm On Nov 13, 2008
Max, you're just too mature. You should be going to operas. All these gizmo oriented stuff ain't for you lipsrsealed

You I like you just the way you are. You're the only one who reads the kinda stuff I like.

Way too much oestrogen up in this thread. I think I'm gonna run away and never come back. Y'all are either gonna rape me or turn me gay
TV/Movies › Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by vescucci(m): 2:14pm On Nov 13, 2008
@kev_d. I agree with all your choices except 8, 11 and 12. I agree with Spikyn about Amon Goeth. That guy wakes up in the morning and looks out for a slacking prisoner and trains his rifle on him/her and shoots the poor culprit dead. I read the book. I don't know which character is more chilling.

@Gamine. I didn't mean occult occult but occult as in a fellowship of some sort.

@Spikyn, I just didn't connect with the film, that's all. Though it's been a very long time I saw the movie.

Who are the peeps saying Tilda ain't woman like. She screwed the bejeebus outta Leonardo in The Beach. That's some woman, I'd say. hehe. I love the chic o. I also do not remember seeing her in Vanilla Sky. The worst actress in the world almost spoilt that movie. Thank God for Cruz and Cruise

TV/Movies › Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by vescucci(m): 1:01pm On Nov 12, 2008
@Ex, I meant Darth has an occult following. Sephiroth only showe up for a fight scene in the Final Fantasy installation but there was a lot of talk before then. What gave me the chills about Crowe is exactly what you pointed out. He's very unseemly but obviously evil. He had a gentle face but a crazy demeanour like in Omen. Nothing scares me more than those Omen films.

I still love the guy though. He's uncompromising

Y'all are on a "revive the thread" triathlon?

Anyways, as Max says there can't be only one. I loved the soth in Ice Age, the cool turtle in Finding Nemo, that "let me tell this to you" penguin in Happy Feet and my two role models, Bugs Bunny and Fido Dido (I guess he ought to count too right)
Literature › Re: Nora Roberts Or Daniele Steele? Who Is Better? R They Worth Reading? by vescucci(m): 3:55pm On Nov 10, 2008
I read Roberts' Nightingale and Steele's "A Fine Day" or "One Fine Day"

I finished the first feeling like a teenager who got kissed for the first time. Oh, I WAS sixteen at the time. One Fine Day or A Fine Day ruined my day. I read it half way and dumped it. I might have read the best Nora Roberts and the worst Danielle Steel but I think Roberts is better at emoting and invoking emotion in her readers. Take into account I'm judging them both on only one instance. Or half an instance as the case maybe.

I've never read more than five "Romance" books anyways.
Christianity Etc › Re: Do Aliens and Vampires Really Exist? by vescucci(m): 3:46pm On Nov 10, 2008
Yes of course. Only they are called different things. An american would say UFO which is technically just an aircraft that isn't identified period. A typical naija bloke will cull aliens ogbanje, mami water, aje, iwin, winch etc. Jinns, Warlocks, etc are easily believed but why is not easy to believe that they simply manifest themselves in ways you've never seen before.

Bottomline, religious people would call aliens demons. Agnostic people will say they are sure there's a reasonable explanation, only we don't know it. Hard-core atheists will say they are aliens because of their pathetic need to justify the existence of everything.

B.T.W. I talk about these sets of people assuming they actually encountered aliens. I personally think aliens are just some old bullshit.

I've seen this thread for three days now but only got the gumption to post. I'm all cried out now. I love this dude and frankly I thought the odds were that he'd outlive other authors of his calibre. What calibre sef? He's in a world of his own. I keep his books like I do textbooks. A real literary great. He's the only author I reall y wanna be like. It's just so sad.
TV/Movies › Re: Best Movie Villain/"bad Guy" by vescucci(m): 3:00pm On Nov 10, 2008
Sephiroth did like a cameo apperance but his reputation preceded him. Darth Vader is a cult bad guy. iice reminded me of Gary Oldman's character in The Professional or Leon.

Bale in American Psycho, was it Bale?

Russell Crowe was really crazy in Virtuosity. The film was terrible though.
TV/Movies › Re: Best Thriller Movies Ever. by vescucci(m): 2:38pm On Nov 10, 2008
This Thriller thingie is so stifling.

I pay top dollar to come online as much as I do. And I don't work. I'm on an allowance. I'm drinking garri for pete's sake. Peeps just vamoose sometimes and I wonder, Vesc, you'll still come back before long. NL is an infection like spirochetes in my brain. I cannot escape it or it'll be the end of me. I love y'all so much, sniffle, sniffle, I really do.

Light side of Vescucci. Rest assured that won't happen a lot.

@Sisi, oh grow up already.

Me, I still 'se erepa pelu awon aburu mi', for those who need to grow up only. Siblings I talk about are 15 FYI

What's crackalacking?
TV/Movies › Re: Any Good Nigerian Movies Lately? by vescucci(m): 1:48pm On Nov 10, 2008
@David. You're either very big on optimism or you do not know that 'Nigerian movies' and 'good' are mutually exclusive.

By Nigerian movies, I mean the majority anyway. I also believe there's bound to be one I can watch if I was on death row and there was nothing else to do. On second thought I'd pray to God.
