Ariblaze blazed and got so high he achieved escape velocity. Now he has the head of an elephant and several extra legs. Plus extra of the other leg and he thinks he knows how to please a woman. I saw, I conquered, I came is how one dude sees it. We used to eat each other raw and nothing has changed. Vesc feels better |

dserious:Lol at all the way |
Bradley Cooper isn't nearly dark enough for a character like The Crow. We'll see sha |
sholay2011:For a Nigerian film, The Figurine's ending was genius but overcomplicated and inconsistent. Ramsey Noah's character went completely loco |
"Buried" was really such an annoyin movie for me. Just one man thruout d film and he even died at the end.
I understand why you don't like it but I loved it. If they coulda not put in those videos I'd have liked it eved more. That way everything woulda happened in the wooden box with only other people's voices. |
la furia:Duplicity was awesome at the end. It was a little much ado about nothingish but the end was great. It reminds me of John Grisham's book, The Partner which I heard was made into a movie. Shutter Island is not so confusinf, check out the Movie Conundrums thread, it was treated there. |
Braille you mean. That film was kinda inspiring. The maneating geezers were the most surprising part |
Cara, The Last Rule Bender |
Whoa! Good going dude. Congrats. Could you put up a pic of the book cover? People still judge books by their covers, ya know? ![]() |
Em, Big Slam is actually Big Ban.g |
Have you seen Beyond a Reasonable Doubt? One of the most shocking endings ever. And the recent film, The Big Bang. Pretty good ending too |
Oh dear, I'm late to the party. Let's be real. Nothing happens without something else happening and so on. The Big Bang is the best explanation for the birth of the universe but I don't think it means absolutely nothing happened/happens before the Big Bang. The scientist's stance of refuting everything without proof, as long as it leans towards the probability that God or some 'thing' that's responsible for all there is, is fanatical to me. The cyclic redundancy that is posed to theists about who created God is the same as asking what caused the Big Bang? My position is that we're here now, whether we like it or not and we've not been here forever. There are some things we'll never know. The universe MUST be finite. At the same time, it MUST be infinite if it is to be ALL there is. It's easy to see the conflict of terms between KAG and Deepsight/Justcool. An integral part of being a good scientist is suppressing one's instincts and intuition because they're resultant from millennia of conditioning which is usually at odds with the big picture or at least as big as we can fathom. Justcool defined time as a continuum into which events happen but that should not necessarily be a problem for KAG for the Big Bang should be the first ever event and consequently, time would've started when the Big Bang happened and vice versa. To say that time is immeasurable without matter and motion of matter is correct but time is terribly relative. Time may stand still somewhere and be moving elsewhere. Take Justcool's analogy for two moving cars. If one is faster than the other, they do not experience time the same way. And there are countless interactions such as this. Deepsight is talking something that I understand but cannot fully articulate. Perhaps I can call it the sum total of these interactions. The mind boggles when you ask yourself what is before the Big Bang. If there is nothing, then there effectively is no time. But was there really nothing before the Big Bang. Is the Big Bang really more than merely the best explanation for the birth of the universe currently available and nothing more? I suffer because I'm usually caught between a deistic POV and an atheistic one. In my gut, I know there's a God. But my gut feeling is not proof of anything. But then, cuz I have no proof of something does not mean it doesn't exist either. I have a feeling I'll regret saying this but proof/evidence is overrated |
Most 'pious' people are more scared of going to hell than they're intrigued by going to heaven Btw, can someone explain to me the difference between heaven and paradise or is it just an us against them thing like I think it is? |
Well written article but the writer is overly positive about Nollywood. Taraji didn't over react though I can't be sure about the reason for her omission. Is this the longest iice post in like three decades? Probably not but it must come close |
Series are addictive. Movies give you the 'going to the amusement park' feel. The only way to know which one you prefer is to ask yourself which one you would give up forever if forced to. I'll keep my movies |
Many films I've seen become my favourites just cuz of the ending. They're usually preceded by an hour and a half of 'drab' buildup. The ending makes everything else understandable There're the usual suspects including films like: The Usual Suspects, Fight Club, Memento etc but among the not so popular ones, which films have your favourite endings? |
Oh wow. Me too. Thank God. This Django when it gets unchained will be wicked. What a cast it's brewing. |
I read this cuz of you, cara. Didn't regret it. @poster, well thought out. Makes sense |
I cannot watch a film till at least three years after and it of course has to be a very good film. I get bored easily. Same thing goes for books. Why read a book again when there are a billion others to read? The only books I've read again are: Apcalypse Watch - Robert Ludlum Animal Farm - George Orwell I cannot even remember any more |
Finally, my kinda thread. I've not even read any posts but the title alone. . . . . I'll be back |
You guys are having a party for two, oh. Not fair oh |
I criticized David Craig at first cuz he wasn't suave enough and too much of a brute but the fact is, take away what most consider a deviation from the traditional Bond character, his films are the deepest where he even managed to freaking fall in love and watch her die. His character is the only Bond to show emotion as far as emotions go. I do not want him to be replaced by one dandy. Asides all that, I've not really more than a couple of pages of Ian Fleming's books cuz as a kid, I'd heard of the films before I even knew someone wrote them. But someone once said the previous Bonds have been misrepresenting the true Bond a la Craig. So in short, c'est finis |
Excellent work, dude! I've not seen most of the animated films |
Hehe, thanks, ijaw_girl. With your help, it will |
