Christianity Etc › Re: Definition Of God by vescucci(m): 2:54am On Jul 27, 2010
lol, Analissa. Bravo.

God's nature can not be fully understood. I believe we can only get glimpses of what he is capable of and perhaps what He wants from us i.e. what He wants us to do or not do. It seems impossible to separate wishful thinking from what we actually know of God, assuming He exists, which I believe.
Christianity Etc › Re: Who My God Is by vescucci(m): 2:45am On Jul 27, 2010
It is always a thing of amusement to me when people ALWAYS paint God the way THEY want Him to be. God is love. God is unimaginable love. God hurts when we sin. Wtf? Why should God hurt when we sin? God is gentle and loves us in an unimaginable way. Yeah right. It is possible God loves us like that. But why are such beliefs necessary? And the funniest thing is how one person will completely look down upon another person's perception of God as if God came to reveal Himself exclusively to him. God has no use for being gentle or not rude. There are characteristics that are simply ludicrous to attach to God in my opinion. The same rules do not apply to Him and such qualifications as selfless, caring, good etc are just ridiculous. he should be described as powerful, intelligent, just, aware etc if anything.

Health › Re: Britain's Fattest Woman Dies - 25/07/10 by vescucci(m): 1:13am On Jul 27, 2010
If there's anything I know now, it's that people can gain weight as rapidly as a snowball. But wtf?!

Does she still count as a celeb?
Romance › Re: If ur heart is broken, what will you do? by vescucci(m): 1:06am On Jul 27, 2010
Lol. I like to say my heart has a half life. One day it'll decay into non-existence. But as regards to love, I'm optimistic without having my head in the clouds. So, if I get heartbroken, I don't do anything. One person is not humanity. I get heartbroken by not only 'chics' but close friends. Sometimes, if you love someone, the best gift you can give them is to bugger off.
Sports › Re: Siasia Vows To Make Eagles Formidable by vescucci(m): 1:01am On Jul 27, 2010
Siasia is the coach for us jare. Let him continue with the boys he groomed and let's ditch these old men for once. Look at Ghana and Germany. Youth is the future. Professionals don't take long to peak anymore. Ask Messi
TV/Movies › Re: Censors Board Suspends Gay Movie by vescucci(m): 1:00am On Jul 27, 2010
Lol, the human response to that which he does not understand is to fear it. Most times the fear comes with a large helping of loathing
Romance › Re: Is There Anything Like 'respecting Privacy' In Marriage? by vescucci(m): 12:58am On Jul 27, 2010
@topic. I don't suppose being morphs us into one and all that crap. Two people are distinctly different. You can revel in the things that you have in common and enjoy your individuality too. I digress. Privacy should not take a beating because you're married to someone. Talk! Do not go snooping around behind your partner's back. Ask him/her about stuff and treat hearsay as hearsay. Leave each other's phones alone. Nothing wrong in knowing each other's passwords but it should never be demanded. Etc.
Politics › Re: Nigeria Seeks End To Middle East Crisis by vescucci(m): 12:57am On Jul 27, 2010
It's a nice gesture (and I hope more about the middle east than Nigeria) but no one can stop the crises in the middle east but the middle east. Crazy lot that they are.
Romance › Re: Open Relationships: Would You Have One? by vescucci(m): 12:48am On Jul 27, 2010
@topic. Whilst someone who cheats on his/her partner may still love him/her, I don't believe there's any class of love between people who have no problem with an open relationship. They might get along great and all but it stops short of true love. Considering it now is fine since there is mutual agreement but if I know anything, this will be the beginning of the end.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: The End Of Hitv - Multichoice/dstv Wins Back Epl Coverage Rights In Nigeria by vescucci(m): 12:47am On Jul 27, 2010
About time. Now HiTv can find something else to make their cable appealing other than sit on their holes with the rights to the EPL showings.

TV/Movies › Re: Hollywood directors: Rate or hate? What's your Take? by vescucci(op): 12:35am On Jul 27, 2010
Inception may be suffering from hype. Quite like Avatar did. Avatar was way above average but the fans made too much noise it started to shift the neutrals the other way. Inception should hold its ground though. I've not seen any new film yet but I hope to remedy that soon.
TV/Movies › Re: Toy Story 3 by vescucci(m): 12:15am On Jul 27, 2010
Leave Spike. There's an ice box where her heart used to be. Natural selection occurred within a decade in her and she only cries in response to physical pain.
TV/Movies › Re: What Was The Last Movie You Watched? by vescucci(m): 12:13am On Jul 27, 2010
The Bourne Trilogy and Lion King 1.5.

Awesome the first time around, the trilogy. Just as awesome now.

I've outgrown Disney cartoons jare. Music makes my head ache. There's no Lion King without the lions.

Literature › Re: Which Books/Novels Are You Currently Reading? by vescucci(m): 10:12pm On Jul 23, 2010
Ok, I'll check Steig Larsson out when I can. I hope he's not candy for chics o. It seems all the girls like him.

@topic. Laid my hands on Umberto Eco's The Name of the Rose and Baudolino so I'll make room at the back burner for some more books. Also got Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion. So far, I'm scared the things I agree with him about and it's easy to read though he impresses some points too hard and I go "I get it already, calm down".

Christianity Etc › Re: Is Everyone Born With Original Sin? by vescucci(m): 3:07pm On Jul 23, 2010
Lol, Image. We're all in this shithole called earth together. Anything religion offers is of the next world. So you can cancel the rest. The one I'm concerned about is God's wrath. Jesus can save me from himself or his father, depending on your view and understanding of trinity. Correct?
TV/Movies › Re: Hollywood directors: Rate or hate? What's your Take? by vescucci(op): 2:39am On Jul 23, 2010
Ah! A girl that doesn't like Sex and the City? You're tres cool!

Clash of the Titans sucked alright but luckily, they wrapped it up quickly. If they'd named it something else, it might have saved some face. Truly appalling visual effects.
TV/Movies › Re: Hollywood directors: Rate or hate? What's your Take? by vescucci(op): 2:11am On Jul 23, 2010

TV/Movies › Re: Hollywood directors: Rate or hate? What's your Take? by vescucci(op): 11:29pm On Jul 22, 2010
Na wa o! By now no one should be interested in seeing Shrek in Africa.

Expect the right things from Salt and you won't be disappointed.

Starting to watch U.S. Marshall since what, a decade. That's for your benefit Ijaw girl, lol. tongue
