Yeah. Musta missed that class. No wonder I didn't get it when our teacher was comparing solar flares to a giant ariblazing butt farting helium and hydrogen. It's all coming back to me now. Why don't you supernova and liberate the milky way of these meddling humanoids. |
You understand but you don't care, right? |
Proper naija boy. Squirm your way out of treatment. I'll catch you later. Nice take on the poem. But the world doesn't revolve around your butt, dude. |
@Max. One day, not too far away, I'll pick your brain. Probably eat the parts I like. Bonham sounds like the name a salem witch descendant would bear if the salem witches weren't the products of the over-active imagination of clergy and toxins in rye-bread. I've never seen her un-disheveled, lol. Crazy woman. She'd love iice. |
@iice. I read the 2009 Guiness book of world records. Burton & Depp are the highest grossing partnership, being just shy of a billion dollars. A billion jaw-dropping dollars! I read also with some measure of dismay that Samuel L. Jackson is the highest grossing actor, over a billion jaw-breakin dollars. Probably has something to do with him making movies as often as he's cast. Inglorious & basterd will become new entries in the dic at this rate. |
The dogs bark at the moon No fault of the moon here The dogs bark all the time The above is a paraphrased middle-eastern poem I read somewhere. I wanna know what you fellas think about it. I mean what do you infer from it? |
I almost forgot. Blaze, totally for my pleasure, you may lock yourself & drink into a stupor, show up at work after a week & be informed you've been relieved of your duties. You punch the news bearer in the face & in a bid to escape the law you & your blackbird do 180km/hr, in the air for a few blissful seconds while major events of your life flash by your mind before you kiss the aqua under the 3rd mainland bridge. You know I love you, right? |
Blaze. Jump off a cliff & make my day. Your granny is gone & as much as I'd like to tell you otherwise, you're not inhuman, insensitive or any of the rich terms you used. Don't get me wrong, you still are an embodiment of all those succinct and apt descriptions, just not on account of granny's demise. Besides knowing you plus the fact that grandma is paternal, I'd bet my left leg she's almost eighty. If there's anything like a timely death. . . . |
google forget igbo people now vista don remember them abeg Nupe language still dey naija oh the best language for those things for be pigin english way all man dey yan |

Peel yourself from Bale you, Bale is a man's man. The International is really one of the films I tried my darnest to watch. I wanted to see Julia Roberts in a 'serious' role and I couldn't get past the fifteen minutes of Clive's rubbish acting. I think Clive is like Nicholas Cage and Keanu Reeves. They're all streamlined actors. I saw The Reader yesterday. From all the acclaim it got, I'd have had no qualms sitting with my family and seeing this film. Am I so glad that never happened or what? Kate is trying to hard to carve a niche for herself. She's already an achiever. She goes like she's trying to prove something. I don't know if it's only me. Naomi Watts? There really are some 'dead' actors o. Reminds me of Alicia SIlverstone. Is she dead or what? And a host of others too, where are all these people? |
Sisi, you and your spare parts dealer admirers. I'll send you a consignment of pepperspray and zappers. They fit nicely into an average woman's purse. ![]() |
Sick puppy, Ariblaze ![]() |
@JK, Of course, I've read the book. I've read all of Dan Brown's books. At least the ones I know of. Still haven't seen the film though. Been mighty busy |
Y'all remain as crazy as ever. All is well here, no need to fan any flames. Y'all are doing great. |
I've not seen the movie yet and seriously I'm not sure if I will. I watched a few minutes of Da Vinci Code and decided the movie was for those that can't read a book and want a summary of a film. While I don't agree with most of you guys that a film necessarily should be similar to the book from which it's made, I agree that there are some details that shouldn't be tampered with especially when the book has got fans like me. There are things that can be changed to make a movie but it should be done with guile. For instance, if I was Howard, I would make the film stretch over a few days. In the book, all that happened from the call Langdon received in the morning till the end of the antimatter transpired in a day. A day! That's preposterous but it's a Dan Brown signature for all his books span a full day, round the clock. Without seeing the movie, I'd rate it 60%. People who have read the book should try to rate the movie independently and not compare it with the book. Speaking of independent, JK said this movie is an independent movie. Maybe I should add 5%. 65% it is then. I'll try to see it after all. |
FL Gators:Best and most succinct advice here. I completely think the same thing. Either you run off to Nepal and with the adopted kid and come back and pass it as yours (so nobody but you and your man knows) or you take the advice cuz somebody will definitely let it slip. That I assure you. |
A tale of a crazy thread full of crazy people, crazy people in denial, stark raving crazy people and me, V. Choose your category. And no, V is not a category. Kay is my favorite lunatic though. And, yes, that is a compliment. |
First, I like Frank Sinatra, Jack Nicholson. JeSoul, oif course Jack is evil, that's why he predominantly plays evil roles. Can't remember any good role he's played but I don't wanna go to court. Second, I detest Jamie Foxx. Third, what I detest most of all is associating things I love with things I detest, wtf? |
Ariblaze, quick answer, if you rape a prostitute without her consent (whether or not you pay her in the end) it is considered rape. Kay9, you're being called neanderthal and goat all in one day albeit you asked for it. I don't like people calling you such stuff. First. Tubabie, you're one mean ranger quick to draw. Appease, Mr. K. nonetheless. Y'all might hit it off. |
You know what I think would be a perfect match? Sisikill and Ariblaze. Y'all will never have a dull moment. NEVER EVER! |
Owen, you don't know Max at all do ya? Max, I'm kinda amazed you haven't seen American History X. Kinda the reverse case scenario of Malcolm X. Funny, the X part. Boliatiepa, at least I ain't sorry for my choices cuz in the end they're MY choices. vescucci can't really be that hard to spell, Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Karma, is Let The Right One In a vampire movie? |
I'm getting bored here. Why do I contest a POV and people make it personal? A tip. Rules of engagement, if you will. 1. If you're gonna shoot, shoot but don't miss. 2. Quote correctly. 3. It generally helps if you're right @Nwazo. I largely agree with your take on Watchmen but RR is still on review. Meanwhile rate RR and drop a movie for the pool. |
Bloody hell! TDK isn't even sci-fi. Far out kick-ass tech stuff, yes, but it ain't sci-fi. Bale was quite wooden sometimes but so is Batman and I thought we were acting here. You should get hold of the comics, dude. Anyway, I forgot to drop something for the pool. Speaking of which, JK, do we only suggest films we enjoyed or we can choose some that we didn't. Cuz I'm itching to have a go at The Spirit. If that isn't the case, I select Watchmen |

Mr. Nwazo, I ain't got bones to pick with you, man. If you wanna sound apologetic for your own opinions, fine. All I'm saying is, say stuff like you mean it, even if you're wrong. Shake on it? Mrs. Batman, I thought you hated Revolutionary Road. Rate it so your true feelings come shining through. |
Jeez lady. My mind is so twisted, it borders on perverted. Don't lay it on so thick on a brother. I hope only I know what the hello I'm talking about. Spike, with ur typo, wonker, did you mean worker or self-servicer? After all we're in England. I mean in the film. When you see Wall-E, do so with your kiddie mind. Pretend like there never existed either of the bush men, George Bush and George Bush. There's no war in Sudan, Iraq etc. No fuel scarcity. |
What could possibly go wrong? Seeing as cock means anything but? Plenty. |
Stop saying stuff like 'in my humble opinion' man. You gotta have more panache. |
Who are these people? ![]() Dot The I huh? What's it about? All you Wall-E haters have grown up too fast. You've lost your ability to be awed. |
Well, Ms. Vowels, I think I wonder what you rate films like Norbit and Epic Movie. Anyways, to each his/her own. Thank God Jk has provided closure. 93%. It's over and done with. Moving on. Revolutionary Road. The only other film by Sam Mendes I can recall was American Beauty and it was really a joy to watch. Especially back then when Hollywood wasn't riddled with mediocrity like now. But let's get to this particular film. This film, before I saw Doubt, in my opinon was the best drama for last year. Was it last year it came out? Anyhoo, the Leonardo and Kate combo is a really convenient but no less effective one. The story itself is something I myself can relate to on an extremely intimate level. The life the couple lead is anathema to my hopes. But the portrayal of this story especially in the 70's I think gives it spice. This was a period when 'The American Dream' was still very thick in the air. People actually belived in it not like now where it's more like a myth. But that's not where the story pulls a fast one. This couple were supposedly living 'The American Dream' But it was not enough. The struggles of a young couple slapped with mediocrity and drudgery in a not so svelte blow led to a crisis which was ultimately defined by who wanted it the most and who was the most reasonable, grounded, etc. Having in mind the nature of the story, it's hard to draw on the negatives for they didn't venture into such stuff. I tremendously enjoyed the movie but I can see why many people would not. It's just a story of a not-so-average couple living an average life. What's the fuss, right? I rate the film 80% and duck all metal objects being thrown at me and shake my fists regardless. |
