Awww, Blaze. I wouldn't dream of smart talking you when you're in such apparent mental and emotional distress. Besides, it makes for great insight into how a Conan like bloke could be chaperoned. grin

I really hope that doesn't count for smart talk

Debora, I'm touched. With your very first post too. Now, if I may advise, you really ought to get off the cheap stuff. Try out some authentic hashish. The kinda ish that really f**ks up the brain. You'd be choking and smoking your way into ecstasy. That'll suit you better than riling me up. To think I was runing up in here thinking some sensible person had posted. What, do I have "hug me please" painted on my back? Debora Zanda. You know how to pick fascinating names I'll give you that. Now off you go, rookie con-artist. Try reading your books and getting a J.O.B.

@Jiddah, we only see you when romance lurks, no?

@Max, I know you got my back. Will get to you soon. Lotta stuff been happening.

@Owen. Of course we mentioned Kubrick. In relation to Spielberg's masterful takeover of his project, A.I. grin

Don't tell me make up can make Johnny Depp into that ogre like Dracula. Count Drakul looks way more satirical than that!

Aww, JeSoul is experiencing the plight of a football lover's hearthrob. You've got great taste in movies, I daresay my guy doesn't know what he's got. I'm sure there are plenty more enthralling facets to keep him occupied.

I was hoping you people would just stop talking about Legend of the seeker and it would become a legend (without the awe) and go away. I visited someone and it was on. Normally I don't really ever sleep (I hibernate) but man, I absolutely slept off. I asked later if it was PG 3.

You people have been talking about black actresses. I'm no racist or a chauvinist but my favorite actors (I don't even like the word actress) are male. The female ones I like are female and mostly foreign (to the U.S. that is). Remove the usual suspects like y'all have mentioned and I see none left. I reallly try to find astonding black female actors but I can't.

Max, art thou ignoring me?

Kay9. U forget your asthma paraphernalia for house?

Ariblaze, when you dey leave on your deathride? Hope the funeral will not become 'buy one get one free'

If Karma thinks The Orphan is good (scary) then I'd best only watch 5minutes at intervals by noon every other day among atleast a dozen of my friends each time till I finish. Afterwards, I could go for post-traumatic stress relief sessions. Hopefully, I'll make it back to being a semblance of good ol' Vesc

It would appear there are more miracles than one in here. I really thought you was dead, Akin. Hehe. My guy just jump in somewhere. The thread's been in cryostasis for so long, it might as well be dead, just like you, lol. How's life after REAN. Or should I say how's life at REAN now?

Spikyn, looking forward to you know what!

Thirdborn, na san ka mana. Ya zan manta da kai? I agree with the stuff you've said and my opinions have slightly wavered since 2007 when I started this here thread.

Apparently I've been laying low awhile. Nice to see y'all doing great. I think. Duly noted, Max. Miss ya too. iice dey lay low too? I heard that entertainment tonight had something (or a lot) to do with Public enemy. I hate ET and bulk of what it stands for. 2 + 2 also equals 4. Usually

Chineke mmadu. Permit me to humbly refer you to Dr. Kay9, I think he just finished a journal on ultra schizophrenic people who schizophrenic people think are schizophrenic. In layman terms, my good doctor knows more about wackos who regular wackos look upon, shake their heads and say 'they've lost their minds, Vesc'.

Must you go all science fair and ruin my prose. Blue flame, white fluey. You never gimme wetin I ask you, eh, Blue. Ok o. No lele.

Max, lol. You're like pancakes. Your sarcasm is like syrup. You're dripping.

Mr. Nwankwo. I like people who make their own rules and who refuse to be dogmatically chaperoned, like you. I also think truth is clear and singular but we only perceive thru the thick lens of our faculties, i.e. it's subjective. I am not wont to comment on some things cuz they might prove touchy. A summary: you can prove something is, by proving it cannot but be, dig?

Max. I was talking about intellectual prowess earlier and not time being cyclic. Time indeed is one elastic stuff. So intangible and so 'there'. The way I see it, human intellect is normally distributed (I mean IQ ranges thru a normal curve) in every generation. This means for every age a fairly constant percentage will be geniuses and one genius from one age being absolutely the equal of another genius from another age.

Blue. Blue. Blue. Blue burns hottest. But are you sure you want me as your shrink? I have a knack for getting into people's heads. But I do so without a flashlight. Thus I make more of a ness. Plus I'm a big fan of lobotomy so your thoughts will gush forth alright. Gush forth and fresh into my mouth. You know, like Hannibal Lecter, of whom I'm a protege. Be careful what you wish for Blue. Blue. Blue. Blue that burns the hottest.

On the face off between intellect being linear or cyclic, Lemme give an example: a chess grandmaster from 1762 will hold his own with any contemporary one. This is cuz chess is simple enough for only your intellect to show and it's complex enough for your intellect to shine through. I hope the distinction is noted. Even then the advantage of cumulative knowledge isn't removed. It is only minimised. I support the cyclic notion apparently.

I've been following this thread awhile. Haven't posted cuz I don't wanna get addicted to coming here and cuz d trio of Max, Pilgrim & pastor have been more than enough. Plus I generally like to listen more than talk. Muslims believe in Jinns who like humans will face judgement. They also have free will but God have them way more power than humans. Of course this is a mere point of view and not subject to empirical justification. More in a bit

@JeSoul. I wanted to see Duplicity cuz of Julia Roberts but Clive Owen truncated my affair with that movie such that I never even got to see Julia. I don't know what to say about the movie.

JeSoul thinks Burton will spoil Alice in Wonderland. iice thinks Alice in Wonderland might tarnish Burton. Thank God I love them both.

Mrs. Batman. I hail o. Shun ma!

Sypher, what're you cooking up in your cosmic laboratory?

I was swimming in the pacific. I noticed a patch of what seemed to be oil from a spillage. Upon closer inspection, it turns out to be a spill of oestrogen hormones vials. I could swear voices were coming out of the * cough * cesspool * cough * saying things about Johnny Depp, Alan Rickman. Fighting voices would be more appropriate. Next thing I knew I woke up & found myself on this thread. Fancy that!

What's up, crazy ladies of the ladies club?
