If he is like Don Corleone, YES! If he isn't, No!

Now you're gonna get Max' blood running hot, JeSoul. There's this Bond vs Bourne thread, maybe it needs reawakening. I'll try to read Ian Fleming books if what you say is true. I just can't start small books. And JeSoul, I think Karma has a top twenty list. If she has, pick films from there to watch.

Max. It's funny cuz I just saw QOS again. I can't say DC isn't a refreshing Bond. But Ian Fleming had an idea in his mind when he created Bond and DC is not it. I know we're in the 21st century and Bond has to evolve with time. To be frank the new Bond makes the rest look like schoolboys. I like his brutality. His nose bleeds after his very crude taijutsu, awesome. BUT I connect with Bourne on another level. Bond is awesome but Bourne is awesomer

Tis nice to know you've become sober enough to type your addy with visible ink at last, Kay. Check my profile, check my profile. Imp

Mr. Ariblaze. You're still in that your hole? I've been looking for trouble since & no one will give me. We're not counting the lame attempts by Kay & Blue Dracula. You know I'm in the know that you're uglier than Frankestein with bad hair-do. Hopefully my last high-falutin sentence will bring out Kay's animality

I read somewhere that most of you crazy people think anyone going faster than you is a maniac and anyone going slower is dumb. It's funny how everyone thinks their brain is superior. Wouldn't exchange it for Descartes'. Everyone thinks they're smart. Figures. The really smart ones should know and the dumb ones wouldn't be dumb enough if they knew they were dumb. I have a connection with people with autism cuz they're smart and don't even think so.

That unwholesome distraction taken care of I can now resume my place as sage. What troubled souls fill this place. It's disheartening. Blue's noble cause of changing Kay is as futile as changing the sun's course. Things like love, patience & especially decorum are foreign and alien to him. Immiscible. No emulsifier

Kay. Stop suckin up. E no fit you. How many Tgs does it take to get attention?

The rest of you crazy people. Aluta continuantinua

Blue. Blue. Blue. How many times did I call you? Thank God you're not one of those freaks of nature who actually have the notion that women are actually people. Good good. About the business of what else I require, you both just sit on your asses and await my arrival. A simple enough plan, no? Especially since you're not harboring that godless notion. And, uh, register smudgister. I'm canning my apologies and sending them to d bottom of the ocean

I hope everybody who's received my sanctimonious berating speech is really pissed and in the mood to let roll my head.

@Moji and Sino. I didn't overlook you. It's only you haven't got the rabid virus that infects everyone who dares to venture here, yet.

To kick off my new found (usurped) position as pagemaster. I'm gonna offer advice to you poor disturbed souls

@Blaze. Go get hitched and stop riding like the lunatic hell's angel that you are not.

@Kay. You need to wash out your mouth with soap. Or maybe industrial detergent.

@Epi. You either commit murder or change your number. I recommend the latter (works like a charm) but the former isn't out of the question.

@The twins. Go to my room

Blue. I'm actually very sorry. Honest.

@House. I've metamorphosised. I'm high on natural morphine. I'm a changed dude. I daresay for the better. I'm now going to take on the role of sage. An utterly annoying smug holier-than-thou sage. Hopefully that will anchor you crazy people's penchant for commotion and blur. As for me, I've embraced the zen. My tides have calmed. I'm at peace and my hitherto very little ranting juices are depleted. :-( :-(

Hehe, that move killed me too. But to be fair I'm a little biased cuz I read all the books and I tremendously love Robert Ludlum. I've never finished an Ian Fleming book before. Tiny things that they are nonetheless. And, me pack more than DC? Hehe, I respectably wish.

In the end, people were more curious about Brad Pitt than they were Benjamin Button. I rate the movie 70% And, uh, iice, you have to rate the movie na. I enjoyed your review BTW
TV/Movies › Re: The Movie Club by vescucci(m): 11:09pm On Apr 21, 2009
My major problem with the film was the decision to cast Brad Pitt. He did a great job but Ben was so out of character for him that most people were carried away and busy scrutinising his features instead of paying attention to the film and its story. Also, while the film's idea (old drunk, Fitzgerald's) was good, take away the special effects (and Brad Pitt) and what you have is quite a bland film. Plus the film really could lose Ben's travels
TV/Movies › Re: The Movie Club by vescucci(m): 11:02pm On Apr 21, 2009
Fellis, I totally understand your POV, but they explained that bit away as the kid losing his mind. While that is certainly plausible, (In fact the only possible outcome) iice astutely pointed out that this is fantasy. They could have pulled anything off and got away clean. Frankly I think it was a missed opportunity but the film would've become 4hrs had that been the case. Everything about the film was great, mostly. Cons next.

JeSoul. I like you already with that snide bit about Bond wanting to be Bourne. Also, about Crowe's belly, I dare say, one day Danny Craig will look like Leslie Nielson (not sure about d name though) and I won't even like him as much. Hehe. I patiently await Max in a fitful frenzy, if there's anything like that.

Edit wetin. Max is crazy in love with Daniel Craig. The bloke can do no evil in her eyes. You better not aggravate her or she'll throw in Defiance for the hell of it.

TV/Movies › Re: The Movie Club by vescucci(m): 6:48pm On Apr 20, 2009
I wanna make a suggestion. Just before we start to review another movie. Why don't we collate the ratings of the posters and find an average and we can post it as our collective rating of the film. Justkunmi, I hope you don't mind this duty. You could modify your first post here to contain the fims and our ratings. What do y'all think?
