@ all, the F7 Charger I have confirmed is not charging the phone as it should be, A friend that bought his F7 upon my recommendation was frustrated with the slow charging and rushed to my house this morning, I told him to buy Samsung charger but he ended buying original BLACKBERRY USB CHARGER from BLACKBERRY OFFICE at SHOPRITE in Abuja. The guy is seriusly smiling now. His phone is charging very fast now.

Reboot your phone, use up the battery and recharge with NEPA light with stabiliser,in adition get youself a Samsung charger ASAP. Goodluck

But, Tecno fans no more unequal childish comparisons here, cos "they comparing themselves among themselves are not wise" (2 Corinthians 10:12 KJV). It attracts hot annoying cynicisms.

Now, back to Phantom A, my biggest drawback with this phone is the fact that it doesn't have USB OTG. I think its high time Tecno implements it. Maybe, they forgot, so we need to remind them.

Come on guys, we really need to mobilize and storm, Tecno face book fan page, and complain bitterly, though positively, about OTA, OTG and the battery issues.

We are the people that will make Tecno improve. Lets not sit back and swallow whatever is thrown at us. This costs N35,000 for goodness sake.

Moreover, remember, Tecno promised world class smart phones at cheap prices. A smartphone is not yet a full smartphone without the versatility of OTA & OTG.

Lets not sit back the way we are sitting back, and Nigeria is not improving. If its Americans they will shout wella.

Well said, but I personally think the USB ON THE GO OR ON THE WENT thing is outdated. with DROPBOX installed on both your Computer and your Phone, YOUR COMPUTER AND PHONE HAS BECOME ONE & SAME, SAVE ANYTIN ON YOUR COMPUTER AND U SEE IT ON YOUR PHONE & VICE VERSER. I THINK WHERE WE MISS IT MOST TIMES IS THAT WE DONT REALLY TAKE TIME TO FIND OUT THE USES OF THE 800,000+ APPS WE HAVE AT PLAYSTORE.

Just root this fone download torrent and look for things that interest you on any torrent site,it might be books,games,movies,music etc before you know it you all be screaming for 32gig mcard.The phone is good let's enjoy it. tTorrent is the best to use on android devices.

U are correct, I followed your lead and Oboy, I have taken my F7 to a new level, enough Apps and goodies for me to enjoy e.g Best Photo Editor, DJ Studio4 etc, loads of HD Videos, Ebooks etc.

I seriusly think we are Using different F7 or Either some people are too proud and sturborn to follow the Tips we have been giving here.

I used a Bold4 b4 dumbing it for F7 and I must tell U that dis device has saved me from Battery wahala. I really dont understand the battery issues U guys are talking about.Maybe some people dont have anything doing than PRESSING FONE CONTINOUSLY UNTIL BATTERY DIES.For me as a busy Professional, I leave my house with 100 percent battery in the morning and I dont charge until I get home by 6pm and I still have some battery left. I hardly use my power Bank these days. In sum I thunk the battery of F7 gets better as U continue using it up and charging, I noticed these issues during the first week of use, but it continues getting better as I applied the battery tips until its now perfect.

Those complaining should humble themselves and read through the thread and apply the Tips on battery already posted. Enjoy your F7.

What i mean by soft battery was as at the time I unparked my F7 phantom A1 I pressed my battery with both hands on it and it very soft like ogi but I got home I switched it phone and charged it, it wasn't up to 3hours and the was fully charged.

my observation now is that F7 phantom A1 is not bad and the battery life as android phone is OK much better than blackberry Z10 for now pending when BBM is introduced to android for more comparison.

I used original Samsung charger to charge it, to very honest with 3G+ the battery drains down quickly than expected and mine has many applications running on it.

Techno F7 phantom is great, picture quality is awesome and sound is nice and games, infact a lots to say about this phone.

less I forget after charging the battery it became strong and OK.

on Edge F7 battery can last for over 18 to 20 hours plus browsing and phone calls notifications update and avast actively ruining etc.

U are a very funny fellow. How can a phone battery be as soft as OGI ha ha ha U must be kidding me. However, U are advised to PORT from Avast to another Anti Virus for your battery sake. Also I advice U read through the thread for other proven battery improvement tips.

TCD: got this phone few days ago. phone is great and I'm enjoying it but I think the battery has issues.

it takes forever to charge. there are times the battery will just remain at a point for hours and refuse to move up while charging. I put off the phone, put it on, battery level drops from 80's to like 15% from there it will remain for hours till it decides to start charging again. today battery was at 15% I put it off and left it on charge and slept for 3 hours. on waking up battery was still charging I put it on and the damn thing is still on 15% unplugged the charger and it happily dropped down to 14%.

at certain times while using the battery drops from 100% to 90% in less than 5 minutes, after that rate of discharge stabilizes then at like 30% the battery starts counting down like stopwatch till 14% in a matter of minutes.

All these is highly distressing and can't understand why a new device should act like this. This is almost ruining my first android experience maybe I should have gone for a more established name.

REBOOT YOUR PHONE, use up the battery till its empty, charge by plugging charger to a stabilizer connected to NEPA light and charge till its full, allow charging for extra 30 mins after your FONE says CHARGED.

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT: it just occured to me that this Machine alows the 2 SIMCARD on 3G, I am trying to figure out how 1 sim can be on edge and another on 3G

@ All, VERY IMPORTANT BATTERY SAVING TIP for F7, there is this STUPID VIBRATION I noticed initially on my phone whenever I press any ALPHABET wen typing anytin on the Phone, that ALPHABETH VIBRATION DRAINS BATTERY GREATLY...turn it off and your battery will be great. IF U NOTICE THAT YOUR PHONE ALWAYS VIBRATE ANTYTIME U PRESS AN ALPHABETH DURING TYPING, TURN IT OFF AND SEE BATTERY MIRACLE.TURN OFF KEYPAD TONE AND VIBRATION

@all am in Abuja and am rocking the F7 I bought from Parktel online at Banex, Am not having issues with it at all, am always on 3g network and my battery is doing great. Far greater than my Bold4 that almost killed me. ANY BODY LEAVING AROUND LOKOGOMA DISTRICT can come and feel it and give independent review. MY FRIEND OWN A GALAXY S4 and he is jealous anytime he sees my ROOTED tecno because my Tecno does the basic things a smart phone does and I got mine far cheaper.

Those Condemning this Phone should just go and buy their Galaxy whatever.

As for slow charging....I TRIED MY SAMSUNG GALAXY PRO DUOS(YOUNG) Charger on the Tecno F7 and its really charging fast. I have never used the F7 follow come charger again. The Samsung charger is very fast. F7 users should try this charger and report to the house.

Tolullopsy: Thank God i didn't rush to buy this fone,i read al d user experience from page 1 nd i could deduce that this phone battery is nothin 2 write home about, i have learnt from the horrible experience i had with infinix race bolt which i hd 2 give out after a week of purchase because of heatin and battery drainin issues.
I need to hold on for the release of infinx race max q and watch out for user's review on it,if its going to be a good buy.

@all those buying things from alibaba and aliexpress should be very carful. the most secure way to buy from these sites is the ESCROW payment option, any other means put U at the risk of loosing your money. There are also lots of substandard cloned goods flooding those sites.

As for Tecno Batteries, Guys sould be very careful where they buy from, ensure U buy from authorised dealers, trying to save 1 or 2k at the risk of getting substandard product is not worth it.My battery is great, far better than the stupid bold 4 I was using b4. Guys should follow the battery tips that people have pasted here, dont use avast antivirus, reduce display brightness, remove vibration, off bluetooth and gps.ONLY PUT THEM ON WEN NEEDED.Only chek your phone wen U have notification and wen U need to Use it.(Some people will never allow the Phone go on standby screen and this is bad habit.)I hardly use my POWER BANK since I uninstalled Avas. In all I love this Phone, its my mobile office, Those people criticising Tecno F7 are ingrates.

The quality of food and every other thing that goes with it from mama put and Tantalizer is not the same hence the price difference.

@all, this Fone is a must buy. The Fone has separated me from my lappy, I am now a mobile office, I even prefer using my Fone than lappy now. The browsing speed is amazing.
