For those who have applied and gotten their admission for University of West England, Bristol...Asides the £3000 for CAS, how much is required for the first installment of school fees?

I have a BSc in Economics and I’ve also always been good with managing projects. So would you guys advice an MBA or MSc Project Management.

Someone once told me doing a masters in project management isn’t really regarded so high, then a friend who’s long been living in the UK told me to not bother with MBA that I may not use it to secure the job I’m thinking I would, especially if I don’t have the kind of work experience they need in the UK... so guys if you don’t mind please share your opinion with me.

Also please are there schools with lesser fees I can check for Sept intake of MSc Project Management and MBA...I know I’m late on this, but please help me.

It depends on your goal. If you have an M.sc Project Management, what industry do you intend to use it?

E.g. If you are in the IT industry for example, there is no point doing an Msc Project Management as you can do Prince2 Certification and Scrum certification to qualify.

Essentially, what I am saying is - Someone with an IT degree with Prince2/Scrum certification will mostly qualify for a job quicker than Someone who does not have an IT degree and has an Msc Project Management.

But that's my own opinion. Your circumstances determine what your goal should be.

Please for those already in u.k. Who are studying outside(far) from London, I want to find out if you were able to stop at London before heading to your destination for those staying or studying outside London.
My destination is Birmingham and I am having difficulty getting a direct flight to Birmingham.
Is it ok to stop at London and then take a train to my destination without having issues with UK immigration in London?

Is there any reason why you preferred a direct flight? If it's possible for shuttle, I would advise getting KLM to Birmingham. It will make your life easier.

However, if you have a good reason for not wanting a shuttle flight, then you can take a train to London Victoria and get a national express bus from London Victoria to Birmingham.

Hello people, can you help me confirm that I am correct with this:

The last deposit required for POF was paid on Tuesday 25th of May 2021.

Am I correct to say that the 28 days will start counting from Wednesday 26th of May till the Tuesday 22nd of June.

And that the bank statement print out will be from 26th May 2021 - 23rd June 2021?

It simply means...you need to have your proof of funds in the account for minimum of 28 days before your application.

And the date you print out your bank statement for POF must be within 31 days of your application.

Essentially....if you print your 28 days statement today....you cannot apply for a visa more 31 days after you print the statement

1) Since he's my sponsor: does he qualify to be my dependent as well?

2 ) Can we use his account to apply together ? Or he needs to move the entire funds into my own account and then use my account to apply.

Yes he qualifies. As long as you have enough maintenance and ihs fund for both of you and the child.

He can use his account without issue. Or can also transfer. It does not matter.

The person who told you he can't be your sponsor is confusing student visa application with visit visa application.

For January, check the following schools:

SHU
Teesside
UEA
Northumbria
GCU
Bradford
Huddersfield and
Lincoln. They are still accepting offers for January 2022

No it's not, it's actually increasing. Some banks are just slightly cheaper, Eco bank do give fair exchange. Today even seems like a good day cos on oanda, pounds is 576 as against 585 yesterday. No one can predict the exchange rates, it flew from 523 to 585 in barely two weeks.
Keep monitoring it Sha and hope for the best.

Oanda is actually around 584/585 (576)mark today. You should be considering Naira -> Pound Rate and not Pound -> Naira Rate. They are not the same thing o.

Selling 576.421 NGN you get 1.00000 GBP
Buying 576.421 NGN you pay 1.00659 GBP

I just got a conditional offer for my MS.c at University of Lincoln and here's among what they requested. Don't know how the game about it because I'm not working. I thought they will demand for Confirmation of English as medium of instructions during my undergraduate.

If you are not currently in full time employment, is there any organisation that you do any kind of work for at the moment that can write you a letter that you converse in spoken and written English?

Are you a worker in church/mosque? As being a worker in both places are work o. Well, I am not sure if this will suffice, but in the absence of any, you may consider it.

If you have your Bsc Transcript also and showing that you have a letter from your school, that should be useful too.

Has anyone used Form A to pay tuition fees this week?

You should be able to book an appointment for TB test without payment. It is after booking that you will download instructions to pay.

Tajmal you are free to write to them , that is one of their requirements. I can't change it for them but you can. So,you are free to, try ur luck.

You can actually get admission without IELTS. SImply upload your WAEC/NECO result and also attach your Uni transcript (if your 100 level has a unit course on English language).

And you can ask your school to write you a letter that your course was taught in English. That will help also.

I am talking from my own experience. If you are looking for a flat to rent (not airbandb) in an apartment (when you have kids - outside London), please go ahead to look. You might get lucky.

I have rented up to a month before without issues. For those who are coming into the UK with kids, please note that, it is nearly impossible for you to get a flat to rent in a building (except your destination is London).

So, look for "houses" instead. You can search for one-bedroom houses, two-bedroom terraced, semi detached or detached houses or self contain houses. If you are searching for flat, it will be near impossible for you to get one as many flats are for people who don't have children.

Also, it's best if you try to use places like www.openrent.co.uk as you will be talking directly to Landlords and you can negotiate with them. If you go on Rightmove, you will be speaking mostly with agents. I hope that helps.

Try www.openrent.co.uk too. Some of them allow virtual viewing of the property. Many properties that are shared accommodation may not allow children.

But I will advise you use grammarly app (free) to correct your punctuation and grammar.

Also make sure you mention a few Nigerian startup where your msc computing will be useful and mention that you like the UK as destination as the University (thay you are appling to) is prestigious etc.

A lot of people are either doing any or combination of the following:

1. Saving up from their income over a long period (3 - 4 yrs)

2. Relying on family members who have the funds (e.g. for proof of maintenance funds)

3. Getting a loan from the bank to pay their school fees and paying it back.

4. Relying on family abroad who can afford the money.

My advice is that, if you don't have the money for studying, don't bother trying to apply for a student visa yet. Go and find a way to hustle to save up at least 80% of your school fees, and you can use the other options given above to supplement it too. I wish you godspeed.

I called their representatives in Nigeria, she said I won't be given admission because I studied Industrial Chemistry for BSc. and that it isn't related to Computing, although I have 2 years experience as a web developer. Do you have a background in Computer science or related field?

I'll suggest you apply to the school directly. Submit a statement that explains that you are self taught in web development and IT and you have experience and portfolio of work that are IT related, hence why you are pursuing an MSC. State that the current boom in startups in Nigeria shows a growing need for people with skills like yours and you believe an Msc will put you in the right stead to contribute to the Nigerian tech hub industry etc etc. Apply to about 5 different Uni's though, one of them will give yu admission.
