Dazeey042: @justwise please is Northampton a good place when it comes to part time jobs and living expenses?
Also, do you recommend campus accommodation or off-campus? I know Northampton very well. There are good jobs in Northampton. It's also not far from Milton Keynes. I have family members living and working in Northampton and it's a nice town as well. Amazon has one of their delivery warehouses there for part-time jobs and a few other logistics companies too. Barclays is also located in Northampton. |

Please between Sunderland, Wolverhampton and Middlesbrough which is best for international students in terms of living expenses and part time jobs? I really need help deciding as I have unconditional admission from Teeside uni, Uni Sunderland and Uni Wolverhampton.
Help a brother please. @Justwise and other experienced people the house your advice please. I can say that Wolverhampton is a decent town to live in for students. You have a shuttle Tram (light rail - 25 minutes trip) to Birmingham where there are many jobs. Birmingham is one of the largest city to get jobs similar to London and Manchester. Living expenses in Wolverhampton is also affordable. There is shared accommodation that you can live in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Dudley (which are close to as well. Middlesborough is probably cheaper than Wolverhampton but may be difficult to get jobs. |

hosey: Project Managers in the UK earn a lot so you will definitely meet the salary requirement to get a job. So no need to worry about shortage list.
You can do MSc Project Management at RGU but this is usually not enough to get a job. You should have Prince2 Practitioner and APM PMQ. These two qualifications costs about 3500 pounds in total if you do it with a training organisation. But if you self-study, you will spend less than 1000 pounds for both qualifications. Self-study will be easy as you would have covered most of it in your MSc Project Management course.
Another thing you can do is to do MSc in any Information Technology course in RGU. Then do both suggested Project Management qualifications. This will make you employable in both the IT sector as well as a Project Manager in any segment. You can also combine the skills to be an IT or Digital Project Manager. You can work as an IT Business Analyst which is on the shortage occupation list.
Good luck with any of your choices. You are spot on with this advice. I currently work as a PM and I personally won't advise anyone from Nigeria to study Msc Project Management. It's best for you to study a niche course e.g. Msc Cybersecurity or any other non-IT subject and then do Prince 2 Foundation and PRactitioner certifications. You can also throw in Agile Scrum Exam from Scrum.org or Scrum Alliance in for good measure. Employers don't really care what your B.sc is to become a project manager. What they care about is if you've passed your Prince2 and/or Agile exams. To see what I mean, anyone reading this, go to www.totaljobs.com and search for IT Project Manager jobs. Look out for what they want from potential candidates. |

The surgery was successful and d baby was put in incubator but after 5 days d baby died.
So in June I went to doctor for check up and tests were carried out i.e semen analysis, testosterone analysis, urinalysis and uric msc. It was confirmed I was having a very low sperm count of just 2.8 million sperm count instead of anything from 15-20 million that can fertilize an egg to b able to get pregnant.
I don't understand why a man will be treated for infertility just 2 months after his wife gave birth. From time to time some men do have low sperm count. Just ask the doctor for recommendation of supplements to boost it. Zinc supplements is a good one to take. Take it for 3 months consistently. And go back to do your sperm test. You will be amazed at the result. |

Bringing the children to your house is a form of emotional blackmail. In hindsight, you should just go into your house and get some of your raw food e.g. 1 cup of rice and give it to him.
When you do that, he wont be able to say no to it.
Trust me, he used those kids to collect money from you. Those kids are not actually hungry. The money won't even go into feeding the kids.
There is a significant number of Nigerians that will "begi begi" just to collect money from you. THey believe they are entitled to your money and they even castigate you when you don't share it like you are doing wrong.

Olaleyetobz: So sorry.. I had many family issues to sort out.. I’ve just decided to submit my application.. I started a job at an event and fashion house in July and I get over 280000 as monthly salary, no side hustle except for rent payments made to my account by my dad’s tenants.. I’m trying to put in an application for November to visit my fiancé who is a citizen of Uk and has all the required documents..All expenses would be handled by him... I’m a bit nervous and I need help on other things to put in check before applying .. I understand your concern. Here's what I advise: 1. Wait six month before applying for this visa. How will you travel to the UK, when you just got a job? 2. You need to prove that you can sustain yourself financially (outside of your fiance's funding) and that you will return to Nigeria after your trip. 3. Even though expenses will be handled by him, you still need to show your own financial capability too. Others on the forum will share some more advice on this. |

Juliearth: Blessed are you amongst other men to know your wife's true colours. Marry a woman that can support you through thick and thin... Is she handicapped? What is stopping her from setting up a small business to support you? That you didn't have the best childhood experience doesn't mean you should be a dunce and a fool for love.
You have a child with her, you can cater for that child's wellbeing, but that doesn't necessarily mean marrying the mother of that child, especially since she has shown traits that you cannot cope with. Work out an arrangement with her to go back to her parents' house. Your mother can cater for your daughter for the time being...
You also need to work on your cheerful giving spirit. You are not God, stop playing God in people's lives by trying to help them. Learn to hear from God before helping and you should also know that there is a factor called "the rainy day". If your savings culture was topnotch, you may not have resorted to taking loans to pay rent and other things... People take loans for investments and not to sort liabilities. There is a video by pastor Smart Adeyemi. Its on giving. I would implore you to look for that video and pay heed to the content. Thank you very much for this post. Just a little correction. wjxavier: Your headline is misleading.
Anyway, I’ll advice you.
I watched a movie last night titled SPEED KILLS, and starring John Travolta.
The title is enough to chew on. Most of you want to blow overnight. And that’s a problem.
Y’all don’t know how to stick to things.
Secondly...I also learnt that...
It doesn’t matter how much you’ve lost.
I’d doesn’t matter how hard a thing is.
Success stories are not for quitters.
99.9999% of the time, victory is for those who see it through. Who stay in the game.
Took me 7 years to learn this in my online game.
I used to do free marketing. That is, I never wanted to pay for services or renew them. Like web hosting or autoresponder services.
If you ain’t paying, you ain’t winning. If you like be there for 10 years.
Pay for services.
Get a coach.
Bring your a game.
And get the “fvgck” back up if you fall.
That’s how to win at ANYTHING.
Oh and by the way, I finally got serious in 2016.
3 years later, I hit my first $100,000 month.
It’s not hard.
But the finish line is only for those who stay in the game.
Doesn’t matter how much you’ve “lost”.
Your story doesn’t matter until you win.
My name is Waju Abraham.
Google me. Waju...you are here...lol. Very funny how your comment sef be like marketing copy...lol I thought I'm the only one that think and write in copy for everything. |

chukemmang: All those foolish motivational speakers telling you how they made millions online but will tell you to pay for their nonsense videos.
If you are smart, you will realize that the millions they made was not from any foolish online business but from fools who paid for their foolish videos from all over the world.
Just imagine if only 1 million fools paid $24 for a foolish video.
If they made so much millions from a business, why are they selling their foolish tutorial videos? Why not give their videos out for free? Your mindset is actually flawed. You cannot learn a skill to professionalism without actually paying for it. Even the school you went to....Did your lecturer did the actual thing they are training you about? My point is...if you see every business education trainer out there as scam...you will never make it online. There are many of them that genuinely teach because they are passionate about it along with the money they make. I bought a course from an online marketer called Frank Kern. I paid $1,500 for that same course. Yes $1,500. Convert it to naira at the time was $1 = 350 I spent over two month of every day actively implementing it. Many people will watch the course...think...it's difficult. Then move on to the next program and never make any result from it. I have reaped the rewards of that implement àti on ten times over. But I spent two painful months implementing it. If you see that sef...you will call the guy scammed x 100. Change your mindset. Be choosy about who you buy a course from and make sure they do what they practise. That's the only way to win! |

The problem is that you are jumping from one source of business to another.
I've been doing same online biz for more than 15yrs and Its been profitable.
There are lots of people jumping into that space....and not doing shishi.
For you to be profitable with any business..you need to spend 10,000 hours dedicated to it.
You seem to be more into programming....freelancing could have worked for you. But you lacked selling skills.
Jobs won't fall into your laps online coz you are a programmer.
There are one million programmers out there. The ones who make money freelancing are the one who can sell.
My advice....start with fiver.
Check out those in programming who have lots of reviews.
Then curate your own profile similar to theirs.
Then offer to do a $50 job for $10. You will get people who need help but don't have much money. Do the job. Get them to give reviews.
Once you get 10-20 reviews...increase your pricing.
When you saturate that niche...move to upwork.
Most normal skills are a dime a zodozen online. Those who TRULY WIN are the ones who have selling and marketing skills. Do simple programming jobs. |

Thank you everyone. This post shows you probably will never take the advice given to you here. I use to be like you. A friend owed me over a million till today and I had to forgive that debt. After forgiving...dude asked me to gift him money for his wedding. I just laughed and told him I don't have. Anyways...here's what I did to curb this: 1. My parents are my priority. I set up a monthly allowance for them and make sure I do this wverytime without fail. 2. I have two phones. One is my private line. The other is for everybody else. Whenever I go to Nigeria...i give out my public line to everyone and my private line is only available to immediate family and close circle. My instruction to my immediate family is...if anyone very close that you can't refuse ask for my number...only give my public line to them. That public line Ehn. Is always in my bedside drawer. Only get opened once a month and whenever I see someone ask for money. I just read and ignore. What I have discovered is...people who genuinely need money will only ask you for money for food if they are struggling. Be like me. Say no. Stick to your no. Overtime....they will move to the next person to leech from. Funny thing Is....my most trusted friends are the ones that do not ask me for anything. And please....stop posting on social media. I applied for Uk visa with my mother and my sister sometimes June 2010, and Visa application which I don’t know if it was refused or not because till this moment we still don’t know the reason behind our refusal, even though we applied for the visa through a man who said he was an agent in this field and then he failed to tender the reason for our visa refusal to us. But I have the reference number (LAG - xxxxxx) written at the back of our passport. Please advise on what to do. Because I’m thinking of reapplying but I don’t know how to without the last application’s decision letter. 1. What was the exact words your agent told you when the refusal came through? 2. There is always a refusal decision letter. If your agent did not give it to you, there is high chance he applied on your behalf using fake documents and you were possibly banned and he tried hiding it. But then, it's been 10 years, so you can apply again. 3. You can try to reach out to the agent and see if he'll own up this time. Any information he can give is better than none. 4. When applying, be truthful in your application. This time, supply correct documents. Also, I hope your circumstance has changed in 10 years also. This will be one of the determinants of getting a visa this time. Some other people on here might have other angle that will help you make informed decision. |
