Obiagu1:
OBJ's first term was a mess, he survived impeachment and almost lost out in the primary. After that experience, he throw away bigotry and embraced the Igbo to save his Presidency from going into oblivion. When they helped him make name in his presidency, he dumped them.

This is the story.

The problem is that most of you are kids and didn't follow the process from 1998 and see how things went. You just read up some stuff on the internet and form an opinion.
Obj is an anti-igbo,he didnt really choose those igbos that worked with him,the fact was that he had no option,those igbo men and women were the best around and he really needed good hands to save himself,notice that those igbos achievements were the best thing that happened during obj tenure,from ndukwe to dora,from soludo to okonjo and ezekwesilli,they were the best around,and the bigot didn't have a choice.

If this happens, I need no soothsayer to tell me what will happen in the SW in 2015. ACN evaporates like AD and there comes another party formed by Fashola, FCN (Fashola Company of Nigeria), and every Yoruba will shout, thank goodness, another messiah has come to save the Yoruba people.

OGIDI was founded by a man called ogidi,who was the only son of INWELLE,who was the son of ezechumuagha,ogidi literally means "strong pillar" most ogidi people cannot trace their origin beyound ezechumagha.
Ogidi is headquarters of idemilli north of anambra state,like all idemili clans ogidi dont kill a particular type of snake they call "eke" it is believed that killing it deliberately attracts death to the culprit while if it is killed unintentionally the culprit must bury it as if he is burying a human,the snake on its part is harmless to idemilli people,this rule also applies to nwadiani(children of idemilli daughters).
Ogidi seems to have a very small landmass and has been involved in land disputes with neighbouring communities such as nkpor,ogbunike,umudioka and umunnachi. Ogidi people are mainly christians but still keep in touch with their ancestors in an anuall event called NWAFOR,there can't be ogidi without nwafor,Ogidi is the birthplace and home of chinua achebe, yeah OGIDIKA(Ogidi is great).

Politics › Re: The Map Of Biafra by vicenzo(m): 12:51am On May 10, 2011
Edruezzi:
What is Biafra? The only reason it worked was that ojukwu was able to neatly pull the constitutionally defined former Eastern region of Nigeria out of the federation. What used to be Biafra is now nine states or so, and the people in the non-Igbo states don’t see themselves as Igbo and don’t give a damn about Igbo people. Indeed, if the inept Ironsi had split the four regions into twelve states he’d probably be alive today and there wouldn’t have been a war. If Gowon had split the regions up right after coming to power, he would have stopped Ojukwu’s ambitions in their tracks. Yes, kids, the monomania of spoilt rich-kid chukwuemeka ojukwu, a man who makes a buffoon of himself practically every time he speaks, was the biggest cause in transforming some violent rioting and interethnic clashes into a needless full-scale war. What you kids don’t realize is that Nigeria is so diverse that large-scale ethnic-based wars like Biafra are probably not possible in it anymore. The same goes for every African country. The only one that has split up since the sixties is Ethiopia, and its borders were NOT a product of European imperialism or the Berlin conference. Are you MASSOB lunatics telling me that you’ll somehow convince Ijaw, Urhobo, Efik, Abonemma, Ibibio and so on, to join you in yanking your impoverished region out of Nigeria?
Go get some education.
grin

What you have in north is one rich man in a village who turns the rest of the villagers to his servants,they farm for him,do his house chores,rear his livestocks,worships him and his children and wives in exchange for food.

One positive thing we gained from our support for GEJ is "unity of purpose" this is what we have been lacking since after the war,with this new found unity,we can survive nigeria or break away from nigeria.
I have always wondered how much influence Obj has on GEJ,the event of the weeks to come will tell,i hope for the sake of this new found SS/SE unity that GEJ uses his brain,however,ndiigbo must prepare for the worst case scenario,oh! OUK,if only that man is not greedy,his kind is just what ndiigbo needs now.

@chinenye.

Your post shows how out of touch you are with home,how can you say that you dont want an ngwa governor in abia yet,when every ngwaman is screaming for it,from isialangwa to aba,from obingwa to ugwunagbo,every ngwaman wants it,the problem is that they dont know how to go about it.
"Return abia to imo" wtf dude,you are not only out of touch with ngwaland,you are also out of touch with igboland,how can say such,when we are fighting for an additional state,to level up with other geopolitical zones,you here talking about reducing it to four.

Oh! I get it,you cant compete in abia state where you are a majority so you want an ukwa-ngwa state or go back to imo where you presume all will be rosy, i see.

You all can now see why i dont like this abagworo of a person,someone here rightly refered to him as the new ukpabi asika of igboland,how can a true igboman call any part of igboland "hell",anyway, okorocha is a welcome change but lets not forget that he was once a part of  PDP,a party "we" love to hate,i hope some people will not be disappointed come 2015.

  @houvest
ngwa is not just a clan in abia state,ngwa together with their ukwa brother controls 9 out of 17 lga in abia state,ie they control more than half of abia state,you cant compare them with mbaise who controls 3 out 27 lgas in imo state,or with any other clan in igboland for that matter.

   The problem of ngwa is lack of unity of purpose,every other group in abia knows this and have used it against ngwa,in this 2011 election,abia north(arochukwu,ohafia,bende,isuikwuato,umunneochi),knows that this is not their turn since OUK who is from abia north had ruled the state from 1999 to 2007.

  This year race was between ngwa and umuahia,with umuahia controlling only 3 lgas(umuahia north and south,ikwuano),and a neutral abia north,the onus was on ngwa to put its house in order and save the soul of abia state,but no,what we saw was ngwa shooting itself on the foot by producing two candidates dividing ngwa votes in the process,as if that was not fatal,nkechi nwogu(an ngwa woman married to an umuahia man) and abaribe were on T.A team,the end result is what we have today,ngwa as usual have settled for deputy,abia will keep deteriorating,aba the capital of ngwaland will be neglected for another 4yrs ,ngwa's political naivety has come to hurt abia state,infact anyday,i will hear an ngwaman complain of marginalisation in abia or clamour for ngwa state,i will angry

@chineye.
Sure,its this soft spot and and trying to play a nationalist role that made aguiyi ironsi to surround himself with Yoruba and awusa people that resulted to his death,which lead to lost of life of millions of igbos in biafra war and the slavery of ndiigbo after the war,balkanization of igboland,hence ikwerre,etche,oyigbo,ika wahala and the economic strangulation of the east ie 20 pounds policy,no seaport,no functional international airport,the loss of the east became the gain of the west(lagos).
Think of where ndiigbo will be today,if ironsi had no soft spot for awusa and Yoruba peeps,tribalism was,is,and will always be an issue in nigeria,ignore it at your own peril.
Zik is another example of an igbo with a soft spot for Yoruba and awusa whose actions the whole igbo race paid for,this soft spot and stupid nationalist tendency made him to contest in west,because he ignored the tribalism of nigeria,his loss and the need to creat space for him in the east lead to the eyo ita saga which the nigerian propaganda machine used to divide the east and weakened biafra even before its birth.
You can see why i hate it when an igbo tries to play the nationalist game,it doesnt work in nigeria,what works is tribalism,ignore it at your own peril,and spare me the moving nigeria forward trash, for we all know there is no nigeria all we have is OIL,once it finish,

Ikwerre was an area,not the name of a tribe up until they were given the label of a separate group from the people known as "Igbo". Iwhuruoha seems to be their so-called "clan", at least that's how I see it. But of course, this can always be proven wrong by olf documents kept by british durring the 1800-early 1900s. If any have some documents or links please feel free to post.
Are you guys not tired of ikwerre wahala,is all these about their almost dry 96 oil wells or is it about the soul of Ph town,dont mistake me,i want the unification of all igbo tribes but must ndiigbo die because of elechi amadi,my brother told me a story about how one of them insulted him in the airport for calling him his brother and pronuncing soprachi as sopuruchi.
Please lets not turn this thread to another ikwerre thread,they are not that important,and should not be given attention.

And as poorly managed as Yorubaland has been, we still have the second largest economy of any region in Nigeria (after the SS.) Imagine what things will look like with competent management?
the economy of SW=economy of lagos,the fact that sw is the region with the highest poverty rate in the south tells you who is running the economy of lagos.
Lagos has been triving on monopoly ie Lagos port and MMIA,wait till GEJ resuscitate Ph,calabar and warri ports and make calabar,ph,enugu airports fully functional international airports,then lagos will be returned to its rightful place.

Nkwelle ezunaka should be in oyi lga of anambra.I think there is a village in ogidi named nkwelle-ogidi which shares a common boundary with nkwelle ezunaka
I doubt if orumba dialect will use nkwelle rather than nkwere,orumba dialect is 90% the same with those of isuochi and nneato in umunneochi lga of abia state,especially those orumba south communities such as umunze,ogbunka,ifitte,owerre ezukalla,ihie,nkerehi/umuchukwu.
Orumba dialect is so distinct from the igbo dialects in onitsha and awka axis,which is usually the igbo dialect associated with anambra people who normally use "fa" for they, unlike orumba who normally use "ha" like most abians.
alright ma, Nkwerre and Nkwerre share the same meaning,
