losers,
what advantage has the yoroobaieu man been given in this country, that he has been able to make use of,lazy bunch of lowlives.
Yorooba man given advantage over ndiigbo in education by awolowo and biafran war= ndiigbo still leads yorooba people in education today, jamb statistics and the thread "nigeria academia in diaspora" shows that.

Ndiigbo economically butchered by awo's 20 pounds policy, immediate privatization programme after the war that benefited the yoroobaieu to the detriment of the broke igbos=yorubaland is of today a poverty stricken land.
Int'l airport, the only functional seaport in nigeria, yoruba president in obj=yoroobaeiuland is poorest region in the southern nigeria, second only to their almajiri brothers.Ondo+osun+ogun+ekiti+oyo=caves.

Yorrobaeiu people, lazy people,it's a sin to be yariboaiu.

Ezeuche,
I respect all u guys, Onlytruth, ChyZ, Mikesany, etc,  and I truly appreciate your individual positions but I really need you guys to think well and see beyond imaginary division being created from the North to keep us down. Can't u see their game plan? If we leave PDP now, what do u think will happen? They will simply circle GEJ and feast, and it will then be GAME-OVER for SE, so leaving PDP now is not an option. The only option is to give GEJ the same level of support we gave him when he faced the North, that way, we are not kings then go figure what we are. The Jews control most operations in the US yet u don't hear them make lousy noise. So Ezeuche pls reduce the noise u make with IGBO name, it does not portray good image of us.
Bros, what was your previous moniker, zik or ironsi?Gosh! Cant believe we still have folks like you walking amongst us,cant believe that an igboman in 2011 still believes that the aspirations of ndiigbo be sacrificed on the altar of any form of unity within nigeria.
And dont talk of ezeuche,he is a better igboman than you,you are just clueless, now i know, the first phase in restoring our  battered pride in this nation,is by making sure that folks like don't get to represent us again,2015 will be a crucial year in igboland .

GEJ's Energy Plan

PRESIDENT Goodluck Ebele Jonathan yesterday in Lagos unveiled a chain of planned projects for the Nigeria oil and gas industry aimed at enhancing the country’s status as the hub of petro-chemical business on the continent and to reap bountifully from the vast deposits of hydrocarbon through job creation.

Speaking at the Lagos leg of the ongoing nationwide Peoples Democratic Party Presidential rally, Diezani Alison-Madueke, the Minister of Petroleum Resources who reeled out the projects on behalf of the Federal Government, revealed that in continuation of its industrialisation agenda, the administration is determined to strengthen Lagos bourgeoning reputation as a mega city through the upgrade and rebirth of critical gas based industries.

She said that in the weeks ahead, the Federal Government will execute some binding MoUs with a consortium of International Oil and Gas firms for the construction of a Petrochemical plant and some fertilizer processing plants in Lagos and some other parts of the country valued at over $20 billion.

“Petrochemical plants mean fertilizer plants that will increase our agriculture and food production and methanol plants that will boost industrial production with a combined initial investment of about $20billion this will result in the creation of over 300,000 jobs across the nation,” Mrs. Alison-Madueke said.

The Minister also disclosed that the establishment of two new Liquefied Natural Gas, LNG plants, in Olokola in Ogun/Ondo States and Brass LNG in Bayelsa state, will create over 7,000 jobs and inject over $1billion into the host communities.

Commenting on the proposed oil industry reform legislation, the Minister informed that upon the envisaged passage by the legislature, the Petroleum Industry Bill will ensure that Government’s revenue is increased to the tune of over $680 billion annually while ensuring provision of unprecedented opportunities for level playing field for operators in the industry.

“The PIB when it becomes law will move Nigerian business men and women such as your good selves into the commanding heights of the oil and gas industry.”

Mrs. Alison-Madueke informed that as a result of the success of the Federal Government Amnesty Programme for repentant Niger Delta militant youths, Nigeria now earns average revenue of over $282 million dollars per day from crude oil based on the combined daily production figure of crude and condensate which stands at 2.4million barrels.

“Many of you will recall that eight months ago the nation’s crude oil production was as low as one million barrels per day. However, as I speak to you today, thanks to the vigorous implementation of the Amnesty Programme of this administration, the story is different. It means increased average revenue for Government which this administration is now using to provide the much desired dividends of democracy to the citizenry. Whether you look into education, roads or health care, there is improvement in the provision of these services to the citizens of this nation,” she pointed out.

While paying tribute to the President for promptly signing into law the Nigerian Content Bill, Mrs. Alison- Madueke explained that by so doing Dr. Jonathan has succeeded in domiciling a huge chunk of the over $20 billion oil industry annual spend which was hitherto ferreted abroad to improve the economy of other nations.

“By giving our country a Nigerian Content Act, the President has reversed the trend. This means; a retention of $10billion out of 20 billion average annual industry expenditure, creation of over 30,000 direct employment and training opportunities, establishment of three to four new pipe mills to service industry demands as well as the development of some dockyards and utilization of existing shipyards among others,” the minister stated.

On the downstream sector, the minister announced that plans are on to speed up the process leading to the construction of three proposed Greenfield refineries in Lagos, Kogi and Bayelsa states to completely eliminate product importation while assuring that the Ministry through the NNPC has intervened to ease-off the recent artificially induced gap in the supply and distribution of Kerosene in some parts of the country through massive injection of extra volumes into the market to force down the price.
Now where are those efulefus, talking about how useless the senate presidency and the speakership is to the common igbo man,if someone thinks you are not worthy enough to be offered a silly post as you guys wants us to believe, how is he going believe that your zone is worthy of billions of naira worth of project, you are as good as your zone, common sense umunnaa, common sense.

Finally, words of wisdom from onlytruth, gosh! I spent days in this forum, searching for his contribution on this issue, but when he did appear,he didnt disappoint, with someone like onlytruth amongst us,perhaps the future is bright,we just need to get them to replace these our shameless leaders.
Obiagu1:
Does anyone see anything that resembles SE in GEJ's plan?
SE is an oil and gas producing region yet we have nothing: no petrochemical plant, no refinery.

We have no Federal presence and still we'll get none. Open your eyes folks!
No,he has no plans for us,the handwriting was on the wall from the begining but we ignored it,from striping us of ministerial positions to untimely replacement of onovo and airmarshall dike,we were just too blind to see,oh!! If only we listened to ekwueme and nnamani,we could be occupying the vp position now, inaddition to being well positioned to clinch the presidency come 2015 or 2019.

I still dont understand why some people claim that Gej is there to complete the tenure of yaradua, which means that he's completing the hausas term. So, to me since gej is there to complete the hausamen term, which invariably makes him an hausa, they shoul appointed a southerner as the vice president to send a clear message that gej is serving the interest of the northerners and the zoning formular should be sustained. I curse the day that i betrayed the true igbo leaders (i.e ekwueme, nnamani, a b c nwosu et al), and joined some happy-go-lucky elements to support this infidel.
Thanks.

Nna anyi eziachi, the did is done, what do you suggest we do now, your contribution is needed.

@Gbawe
I believe that post was not for you, since you are being nosy, perhaps a little clarification is needed.

I made that post because someone said that ndiigbo should accept whatever they were given which in this case are deputy senate president and sgf and that the SE should be more interested in getting GEJ to build good roads and int'l airport in the SE,i was of the opinion that using those projects as an excuse to justify not giving the SE the senate presidency or speaker house of rep is dumb, since the other zones who got juicier positions will equally get equivalent projects in their zones.

@mikeansy.
You don't get it, do you?Playing ethnic cards is awolowo being more interested in the west than in nigeria, saraduna being more interested in the north than in nigeria, the west voting in mass for a regional acn,(liberating their region from pdp corrupt governance),the west not turning out in mass to vote for GEJ.
Not playing ethnic politics is zik being a silly nationalist, ironsi surrounding himself with nothern an western elements, leading to his death and the death of millions of ndiigbo in biafra war, ndiigbo supporting an ijawman in the name of eastern brother, when they could have easily insisted on zoning, get the vp position and reposition to get the presidency in 2019.
Infact,we are where we are today, because we have refused to play ethnic politics, from zik to ironsi and now,we are all guilty, perhaps we can begin by kicking pdp out of our region.

mikeansy:
Waste of time.

I am honestly ashamed of South East politicians.

They had the choice to defend zoning during the PDP primaries, they chose not to and supported Jonathan. Now Jonathan has won the election, zoning of Presidential post before election is close to becoming history. Now Jonathan has not even announced his next cabinet, we don't even know the look of his next Government; PDP as a party has simply decided to maintain the power sharing it had before election. So I really do not understand what the fuss is about?

Ezeuche and Co, please kindly make a list of the PDP power sharing arrangement just before election and  the power sharing the PDP recently announced and tell me the difference? Did the South East physically loose out in anything?

This is no time to call anybody who does not agree with very narrowminded views "efulefu". Jonathan is the President of 150million Nigerians which comprises at least over 250 ethnic groups. If your premise for voting Jonathan is so that he can ignore the rest of the country and be of benefit only to the SouthEast then you got it fundamentally wrong. Because not even a President of Igbo extraction with direct ancestry from NRI can succeed in running this country like that.

You people should be very careful. A lot of you who make so much noise commenting on Igbo issues do not really have an appreciation of the history of Igbos and what needs to be done to advance our course in the Nigerian geopolitical space.

I did not support Jonathan, I am not still a fan of Jonathan . . . . . but on this issue of speakership, Neither Jonathan nor PDP has done anything wrong to Igbos.
Now it's this kind of silly nationalist atitude as personified in zik that brought us to this position.Dude what do you mean by saying that we want GEJ to favour only us?Please if you don't have any meaningful thing to contribute to this thread please allow "real" igbomen like ezeuche and chyz to do what they do best.Tribalism was,is,and will always be an issue in this country, ironsi and zik ignored it to the peril of ndiigbo.Btw where is onlytruth?

@op
I wish ndiigbo will decamp from pdp to APGA in mass. And did someone mention getting GEJ to give us good roads and int'l airport,i doubt he could, but even if he does,he will equally do the equivalent projects for other zones and even more,so what gives?

I have this feeling that GEJ will not want to willingly leave aso rock come 2015,afterall he has obj,the master of sit tight syndrome as a mentor,i believe he is trying to win the heart of the north and the west, whom he believes will give him victory come 2015,by offering them juicy positions, ndiigbo must ensure that this man is disgraced come 2015,we were instrumental to his rise, perhaps we can also be instrumental to his fall and disgrace.

If Igbos cant stand on their own in their own land, how will they help anybody else? Politically, Igbos are not even worth it. Economically, they'll do anything for money. Wonder what Biafra will be with every Igbo try to sell each other their fake items. Fake drugs, fake car parts, fake electronics etc. They'll still do anything to cross into a Yorubaland for success. Is anyone stopping Igbos from leaving the North and SW?

Even in Lagos where Igbo population is supposedly high (contradicted by voting pop/registered pop), Igbos have no say. Even in Abuja where their popl is big, they're still worthless. They cant leave Lagos even if they want to because that's where it is. Numbers with no influence, worthless.
You are a stoopid,fvcked up,yorobaeiu bi.tch

Secondly, If u think GEJ will not go for a second term in 2015, then u must under estimate nigerian politicians, a novice in power surrounded by wild men will become wild. The north will wait till 2019.
I know that the bufoon will want a second tenure, but this time around he will be disgraced,he is counting on the north to help him after he betrayed ndiigbo, his fate is already sealed,he will be another afonja.

Andre Uweh:
Chibuike Amaechi seems neutral in the Igbo or no Igbo imbroglio. T he A.P.G.A guber candidate in Rivers state is a proud Igbo and pro Igbo. He is bent on defeating Amechi if foul play does not come into play.
Hence, count Amaechi out as a man to project Igbo aspirations in the future.
Thank you very much for this post mazi andre.

Ndiigbo must be wary of Amaechi,he has been neutral on accepting the igbo tag,he has always been a "riversman" we must avoid this peel in the future, his interest for now lies in river state,so he is an ikwerre/riversman,when his interest becomes national, and he realize that politics is a game of numbers, he won't hesitate to remind us that he is igbo and he will have his igbo names to prove it,he must not be trusted to represent igbo interest.
Mazi andre, please what is the name of the APGA candidate in rivers?

The lamentations of a true son of igboland, reminds me of how okonkwo wept for umuofia in things fall apart.

My hearts bleeds too for igboland,we are still talking of second niger bridge in 2011,i dont know how we found ourself in this condition,it's like a bottomless pit,the efulefus are talking about the future, how can you become a cardinal without first becoming the bishop, the north are repositioning for 2015-2022,the west will probably be in the picture come 2022.
Economic power without political power can be dangerous for ndiigbo, one government policy can bring us to our knees,we saw what happened to ibeto. For those of you that say it does'nt matter,"it doesnt matter" always matters a lot.
