they are racist hope you guys know tha, the consulate in the embassy said it to my face, she said they dont want africans in their country, get on facebook and see how many blacks they got there, the school staffs are very good, but their embassy is nothing to write about. if i should be in anyone's shoes i will consider other countires not latvia.

This is really shameful.A grown up nigerian male end up in england doing nothing but playing PS2 video games 24/7 while his granny oyibo girlfriend or wife is out working to earn the daily bread.She buys various accesories for her lazy nigerian boyfriend such as sneakers,FUBU trousers and sweaters.Her lazy nigerian boyfriend to pass his time sags his jeans like a blk american rapper while wearing his ear rings and goes to a pub drinking and becoming a public nusiance.He has different kids from different women in the uk and all of them depend on the social welfare system.Apart from the allowance he gets from his white girlfriend he also gets money from the welfare system and parts of these money he sends home to build a house in his village to put this three wives that his parents married for him in the village.His parents think thier son is really living large not knowing the money he sends home he gets it from his oyibo granny girlfriend becos he is too lazy to work.Honestly speaking can we really call ourselves proud african men?

Its very sad to see, how people loose their lives. And this might not even be the worst part of the journey. Loads of Africans, after travelling through desert drown in the sea. Some boats are broken, other ships shot by the border control Frontex, which is working for European Government.
I read a report, that e. g. in Germany of 60000 Asylumseekers only 5 % were recognized and most of those people send back to their countries. And from those who finally make it over here, a lot are working in bad-paid jobs. I dont want to scare people, but i talk of experience.

Sometimes i guess People would be in a better situation in their own country. (Dont get me wrong, im not a racist, but its hard over here).

hi all,@vicjustice- i intend to apply for a visiting visa to visit france for 3 days at the most this valentine with my fiance that works in the uk. i have a valid 2 years visiting visa to the uk. i learnt i need Confirmed hotel reservation , booked and paid for online,Medical Insurance and Air ticket itinenary. i didnt have to provide all these for the uk visiting visa. please id like anyone with experience of this especially in abuja to advice promptly too on whr i can get the booking done and the insurance too.

@omo_tier, I applied for a short -term (6mnth) visit visa. My previous visa was a 2years student visa (2001-03). I do not have any conviction or debts in the UK though I know I have had a caution by the metro poli. over a fight at school with a white girl during my A'levels. I was 17 at the time. I think the embassy only discovered that I overstayed through the caution because they mentioned it. According to them, 'I was cautioned after my visa had expired which shows I was in uk up to six months after my visa expired'.

Travel to europe by road if you can make it and also bold and forget about Visa parol,  it

will only take you 200k to fufil this dream or why not forget about travellin and focus on a

bussiness and see God's doing,  and for those who are willing to go by road, i will adviice

you to follow my advice and do as i say,  From  Ibadan, ojoo to sokoto it will only take you

4k to get there when u get to sokoto take anothere vehicle to ilela that is 500 naira from

there Take a Bike to cross the container called border to the other side of the country, 

Bike man would take 800 naira from you. but becareful and never go alone may be 2 or group

cos all those bike people are crazy sometimes middle of mini desert they will tell you they

are not goin again that u pay them double of what u paid at the base park. When u get to the

second post Niger republic police are simple give them 1000cfa they will let you go i think

that is 270 naira,  from there Take a bus to Ikoni that is coins in there currency not up

to 50naira ,  so when you get to ikoni Glo network is still working there Go to the nearest

park and pay for Taohuwa ,   that is 5000cfa calculate that to naira your sef if 1000 cfa is

270 naira that is 7hrs Journey u get to Tahouwa park  take a taxi to agadez park i think

that should be like 100naira or less ,  so when u get to agadez park, you buy your ticket

15,000cfa Agadez is far it will take you 3-4 days on road ,  but note at the entrance of

the acient city call agadez, you will pay the Police at the toll gate each amout of 5000cfa

if you have passport,  but if you dont, you pay 10,000cfa also please beware of all this

Fake stranded Nigerians in agadez  i mean tired ones with dreadlocks they will pretend as if

they are helping you But it's a lie i will advice you to ask anybody you see that you are

going to Goverment park Insist on that statement ,  or peharbs u tell all those police that

they should find somebody that would lead you to goverment park and tip them ,  tht

goverment park you see a Trucks Loading going to Agadez to duruku or Agadez to Djanet,
  From Agadez to Djanet i know well but duruku i heard the story and people prefer there

with it. after climbin the mountain, you have 140kilo meters to Djanet a small town in

Algeria you trek that one for let say 3 dayz depends on Guild man but pls and pls Know how

to Drink water ,  but better still take anoiting oil with you and honey those are what i

take as water and i have my 5litres of water by my side ,  but all the same it wasn't easy

,  when u get to Algeria pls and pls am begging you dont walk in the street any how because

back to Agadez by there own Jeep which will last them for just 5 dayz  that is why you see

  From Ghat find a connection car to sabba that should cost you 70 dinnars and a full day

this people will do find you a connection car going to Tripoli the capital of Libya for 200

or 250 dinnars that is 25k  when u get to tripoli Medina you see naija at every Junction

Hi I have applied for Latvia before there is no Latvia Embassy in West Africa apart, the school will advice you to go to Israel or Egypt to apply for the Resident Visa, i did mine in Egypt, i can update you with the process and even the Admission Officer Natalia she is my very good friend, i also have friends in Latvia University presently, it is a nice school and their Currency is bigger than Euro.

Thats why i'm mega-confused. Also, when i first applied for the ILR (not IDR as previously written), i wasn't given a right to appeal. I don't know if that was even legally possible for the home office to do. They quoted some law explaning that i have no appeal because my visa was still valid upon the date of them responding to my application. But i recieved my documents back only about a week before it was to expire.

I also hear that if i return voluntarily, i could face one year ban instead of 10. But i don't know how true this is.

Apart from Vicjustice, can any other person help please?

I'm 22 years old, currently in the UK, i have a very complicated immigration situation and some genuine advice from you guys would be much appreciated. i dont know where to start this, but any questions please feel free to ask.

I came to the UK when i was 16 on a 2-year tourist visa which expired during the process of an Indefinite Leave to Remain (IDR) application. Some of my direct family members like my dad, step-mum, sisters and brother live here permanently as british citizens by birth, by Naturalisation, or have IDRs. They all got this when they were young through my dad while he was working here. But my mum and my other siblings live in Nigeria. My dad has now retired and he's on pensions and benefits from the government. I couldn't apply for IDR through him because we read in the UK border force website that he has to prove that he can sponsor me without recourse to public funds. So we decided to do it through one of my older sisters that works (which all do), when i turned 17. The application was refused on the grounds that my sister cannot take the sole responsibility for my upbringing if my parents were still alive. And they suggested i returned back to Nigeria to live with my mother instead since it was her i just departed from. As at the waiting period of my application, i started on my A-levels and before i completed them, i got the refusal letter.

So instead of dropping out of school, i completed my A-levels and got admission into university as a home-fee paying student. I took the offer, and 3 years later i graduated. I got a part-fee scholarship to do my masters of which i'm now undertaking, but i'm so scared of what to do next. My family have been very supportive including my step-mum and they really contribute a lot (both financially and affectionately) to my upbringing. They also do not want me to go back because they really like having me around. I also have a girlfriend who is british and she too doesn't want me to leave. I also hear i could get a 10-year ban if go back. I complete my masters degree later this year and i don't know what to do after. I hear routes of this EEA family thing or by marriage, but i don't know what to do. I've been here 6 years now also.
