If it's an official invitation letter from a company or institute or organisation and the letter is carrying a stamp, then, the original letter should be provided. But if it is a letter from an unofficial individual such as a friend or family member, any copy of the letter would do, even if it is by email or fax.

We got married after had submitted her details .Please note that she went on full Msc and Phd scholarship offered by FG.The information she submitted as at then was what was used for the preparation of her visa . Am agent in Abuja BCIE helped in doing all these for her.She was just given her passport on the day she was supposed to leave

If you don't mind, i'd like to be honest even if it seems discouraging. Please, understand that i need to ask these questions not because i am curious about your family life, but rather because i want to attend this issue with competency.
   Now, are you aware that the onus is on you and your wife to notify the appropriate authorities of the change in your marital status, therefore, did you do any thing about the change status prior to this time?

If you (couple) never reported your current marital status to the Authorities, then, i'm afraid your wife's marital status remains single and as such, you can not apply for a visa as her spouse; you just have to apply for a regular tourist visa, but then, your unemployment will definitely give a major count against you.

How do you think he can help? You're an independent adult, therefore, you will not be eligible for any of the dependant categories that allow for support or sponsorship except you're going for studies or for a course, or for a sponsored programme; it doesn't work like that for a tourist visitor.

Logically, you are expected to be in employment in order to meet the requirement, but if you're out of job, then, your employment history and current financial situation plus your present activities/occupations can compensate for that. And since you have no job to return for, you would face an uphill battle to demonstrate your obligation or home ties; and except your financial standings is so good and transparent, you might find it extremely difficult to satisfy the visa officer that you're not going to the UK to look for future.

This is what you alone know, but unfortunately, the Visa Officer does not know this, and would never want to believe it, therefore, by regulation, you will be refused the visa the very moment the officer sees the word "Unemployed" in your application form.

I was in Istanbul, Turkey in 1999, and i left Turkey later that year, and then, there occurred the devastating Earthquake that destroyed the regions killing dozens of thousands: what might have happened had i remained in Turkey? And in the year 2000, i experience an earthquake while i was relaxing in my bedroom in Acharnon area of Athens; making a phone conversation with my then Greek girlfriend who lived in Ageios Stefanos (about 30 kilometre from my house) and suddenly, my house trembled under a powerful vibration force, and i wondered what it was, when the girl remarked in a considerable calm voice, "my goodness, earthquake" i quickly dropped the phone and scrambled through the stair route downward, and when everything was settled, i wondered if i would have made it out had it been a more serious earthquake: could you believe that the Greek girl was still online expecting me to continue with the conversation even though we both experience the earthquake?
When i eventually returned to my apartment, i rang her and asked how she reacted, but she wasn't as frightened as i was, she said she didn't see it necessary to run away since it was a brief incident and that serious earthquake would not give you enough time to escape, therefore, it's better to take cover inside your room: she also remarked that how house (which is privately owned by her family) is earthquake resistant mansion.
Now, after my frightening experiences, and talking about a country like the Philippines, i don't think i would like to live there, this is one of the most earthquake-prone regions in the world, i can't comfortably live in a house that appears fragile; and unfortunately, most of their houses in the Philippines aren't really designed to withstand earthquakes hence you hear of the many death toll whenever earthquake strikes. Sad, this is the nature of the world that we live in.

Do not bother to use the visa, it's not wise to travel with a visa that is so closed to its expiring date, you may be refused entry with such visa.
The fear that a visa applicant is desperate to leave the country is the concern of every visa officer, but for someone (like yourself) who had a visa and never used it, that fear is eliminated. Now, the fact that you didn't use your visa is a plus to you, you wouldn't have any problem applying for another one; it would be issued to you with relative ease.

I stayed at the Rita Lori Hotel in Surulere.  The reception area, lobby area, bar area, dining area I give 5 stars.  The kids were like, "Wow!!"

Wait until you get into the rooms  Unbelievable!! The bathroom must be from the 60s or something - the door needs to be torn down and burnt - water regularly went.   Our window was held together with a dirty rag    It is such a contrast to the first impression you get when you walk in 

They tell you at reception when you are booking in that you get free breakfast then when you go downstairs in the morning, they tell you it is one free breakfast per room and it's only tea and toast 

As if that weren't enough (and not the hotel's fault, I hastily add), there's an aladura church opposite and they had night vigils everynight - the shouting, drumming, praying - say no more, say no more.

Would I stay there again?  NO
