Strange this one! Why on earth does British Airways refuse processing Credit/Debit Card payment when the intending traveller indicates that S/He is a Nigerian? Regardless of whether the card was issued in UK, US or in Nigeria, or that your place of residence as indicated on the card is out side of Nigeria, once you attempt to book your flight online and you are asked your nationality, indicating that you are a Nigerian, and you will be declined further preocessing and asked to go pay at the nearest travel agent with CASH! ![]() N:B, I do not use BA but this happened to a colleague who by the way is British with Nigerian nationality.
Absolutely wrong, they accept Credit Cards by/from Nigerians, but they may not accept it if it is associated with Nigeria. The problem is not with the Nigerians as a people, but with Nigeria as a country; and yet, the people are to blame for the ill reputation of the country. Point of correction: It's not a "Racist Attitude", it is a just course to protect themselves from Nigerian scammers. Not just the BA, most international company do not accept Credit Cards associated with Nigeria. I like that www.babefishing.com, the ideal Nigerian free dating site. Click now: www.babefishing.com |
@Vicjustice,jonyjay ,justwise. Its possible that the Visa might not be a scam and it all depends on the source he gets it from. I use to think that you can not get a US Visa without going for an interview or at least have your finger prints taken but i was wrong. Have met a lot of people in the US and matter of fact ran into a second cousin of mine two days ago who came here on a Diplomatic Visa. According to him,he paid a Million upfront and after the Visa came out he paid the balance of another million. Bottom line is he never attended any interview and does not even know where the US Embassy is,and with his diplomatic passport he went to Canada some days ago before we met days to the xmas in the US. So yes its possible. Travel agencies usually have means of verifying visa's and thats why they take or make copies of your visa page if you are travelling to a western country and in the case of the US the travel agency you buy your ticket from needs to send your passport and visa number 76 hours before take off and if it comes back Negative then the travel agency will notify you. They do this for all FLIGHTS going to the US to verify if a person is on the NO FLY LIST and if a record of your visa comes back negative your travel agency will let you know.
Absolutely impossible, such diplomatic passport is FAKE and whoever uses it carries the risk of being questioned and arrested. Your posts in this thread should be deleted because, you're glorifying immigration crime, encouraging fraud and tempting the poster to become a victim of its scam. |
Britta:Extremely unreasonable |
patsucess: patsucess:Bear these in mind. *If you got the visa through a Visa-Before-Payment "agent", bear in mind that you're most likely in a scam game. *If you got the visa without your personal appearance at the embassy during any stage of your application, then, expect that your visa is not genuine. *If you were told that your visa is ready, and you have not seen it, then, expect that your passport is as empty as you gave them, and that once you pay your money, you're duped. *If the "agent" told you to pay some little money for some important documentation, then know that you've long been a victim before now. *If an "agent" promised you a visa of no specified category, such as, tourist, visiting, student, spouse, family-reunion etc, then, know that you're into a scammer's court. Now, if your passport indeed has a "visa", and you have seen same, then, you can do initial check by taking it into a dark room with mercury light, and you should be able to see if the security features are highlighted just like you see them in bank notes. |
pappy2000:The same way that the girls in Nigeria can move to the UK, it's even easier from Nigeria as the Nigeria girls in Nigeria do not require residence permit |
Vicjustice:The above highlighted line is not intended to encourage scam activities in this section, but rather to explain a factor that contributed to the section being the way it is. In the past, there used to to be more scammers than genuine users, they took advantage of the freedom to set their traps in multiple posts (even with multiple ids), but since they have been subdued and their attempts are being voided, they have now given up and deserted the section, hence it now seems dry. With this, i still give credit to you. justwise:I agree with you in almost everything, except that i am of the opinion that the number of people who used this section to try their scam trade were about the same as the number of genuine users; therefore, i am of the opinion that the absence of Scammers does not just affect a "very few people", but a whole bunch of these criminals |
Knowing where the poster is coming from, i do understand what he was trying to express, and i also do understand why Justwise jumps in. To be honest, if you compare this section to that of "Politics" etc, you'd be forced to accept that this section could be really dry, observing that there are times when less than 15 threads receive comments in a whole day. But yet, that is nobody's fault, it has all got to do with interests: Know that (though Nigerians are well renown for travel,) but most people don't like spending their time writing about travel like they do when it comes to politics or businesses (making money). And the fact that scammers are being repelled is also making it dry |
victorazy:She is extremely lucky to have been nabbed in Nigeria, had it been she got nabbed in Malaysia, she would have been saying goodbye to the world |
meizval:Friend, Do not put yourself into a serious trouble that would affect you for life. There are multiple fake declarations and documents that you're going to involve yourself in; (bear in mind that other applicants with just one fake document are caught how much more you with multiple fake ones and false declarations). You can't walk through with that, these people would do anything and go any length to verify your every claim and document before reaching a decision, and in the event that something can not be verified, they would consider such thing as fake and may impose the 10 years ban on you, and you're in a great danger for that. If you have already done them, i like to warn you to contact the UKBA authority to cancel your application (that's if it's not yet too late), cancel it (in an attempt) to save yourself from getting the 10 years ban. This is my advice |

readymade:Georgia is not "in the middle of Ukraine and Russia", otherwise, it would have been a European country. But being that it is bounded to the west by the Black Sea, to the north by (Asian part of) Russia, to the southwest by Turkey, to the south by Armenia, and to the southeast by Azerbaijan, it definitely is an Asian country, howbeit, with European influences associates and affiliates. I'm looking for a Man who helped me some time ago. His real name is Tokpe "Topa" Saiki, AKA Uselu-Boy. Real age unknown, but he is now between 40 and 45. He has a younger brother named Michael Saiki who resided in Jos, Plateau state, and has a Sister (name unknown) in Lagos. Though, spent his childhood in Jos, but he is originally from Igara in Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo state. He spent a great deal of years in the "New Benin" area of Benin City and was well popular among the residents of the Upper Mission area of the City: his known comrades in that area were Pastor Ik, Ashele, Bright, Lucky and Bethel. Handsome in a rugged way, he is about 5.9ft tall, and semi dark skinned; (has a tiny horizontal scar under one of his cheek bone, but his face hardly had any pimple spot); He is left-handed. He speaks multiple languages: Igara dialect of the Edo language> fleuntly the Edo-Benin dialect> intermediately, the Yoruba language> fluently and Hausa language> Intermediately. he also understands Igbira (Kogi language), but can't really speak it. The last i heard about him is that he'd moved to Lagos to "hustle". Any body with useful information should please contribute. Thanks for reading |
I appreciate that there are great people who still like me in this forum. Thanks a lot for your support, and many respects to Siena and Omo_Tier1, and others who are not listed on there. ![]() Thanks, Justwise |

paniki:If you had regard for your own self, you wouldn't have accorded another man's comment as foolish knowing that a foolish person would indeed be unreasonable enough to retaliate even by insulting your own father |
omonjerry:Just wait on |
paniki:My friend, that site report says: "World Top Ten Countries With Highest Reported Crime Rates", not countries with the highest crime rate. The word "reported" means a whole lot, that is the only reason that Nigeria did not come out in first position knowing that even in these mentioned countries, Nigerians are participating and contributing in their crime activities and measurement. Beat your own Dog in the UK, and you're on news the same day, but kill a poor man in Nigeria, the Police would not even hear of it: For the fact that South Africa covers the majority of its low profile crimes and yet, it come out in 7th position, that means, if every crime is reported there like in the UK, South Africa would come out in second position after Nigeria Country and Reported Crime Rate United States 11,877,218 United Kingdom 6,523,706 Germany 6,507,394 France 3,771,850 Russia 2,952,370 Japan 2,853,739 South Africa 2,683,849 Canada 2,516,918 Italy 2,231,550 India 1,764,630 |
Dondav:South Africa and the UK are not in same league, UK rules in everything, the only thing that i can say South Africa beats the UK is in crimes |
