muriitijan:It's not a good thing for the consular to detect a lie in any given application because the faintest of lies will by no doubt result in refusal. Now, in your case, the visa officers understands that you lied in the first application by false claim regarding your claim to visit a sister; also in you second application, the visa officer understands that you denied having previously applied for a visa, and more also, on subsequent false intention regarding a business. Though every visa application is said to be considered in its own merit, but these false declarations definitely will have extreme negative influence on any future applications since the embassy can not trust your intentions. So, in your case, your success chance is very, very, and i mean very slim except you improve your social, economic, family, obligations and financial status beyond reasonable doubt transparent enough to convince the visa officers that what you did before was an juvenile mistake which you've now outgrown, otherwise, keep your passport and use the visa fee for something easier. boy steve:Any part of Europe? But i suppose you should have a desired country. Anyway, what's the invitation regarding? |
I swear, i know this guy, he was quickly rushed back to the Immigration police station where he was detained to be deported another day, with the recommendation that he's been giving a life-time banned from the EU. That's when they introduced the system of tying up a deportee hands with a special rubber cord which would be cut off by the aircraft crew only when the plane has reached it's cruising altitude and they are satisfied that the deportee is not posing a threat. |
Too sad, he's even referred to as a "Tourist", but what has he done to deserve the arrest? Well, whatever the case, he doesn't deserve to die that way: I suppose the guy has a heart problem or at least a respiratory disorder. If one European is killed by accident in Africa, the whole world will respond, but when one hundred Africans are killed by skin-head racists in Russia, it's just another story. |
Vik It's not really so, Deportees are usually not forced, but in the situation whereby a deportee resists the law enforcers, that is where force comes in. Afterall, the Police is a force, and not just a service Now, imagine a Nigerian deportee in Greece who resisted the law-enforcers up to the extent of stripping himself naked (after messing up his pants/trousers with urine and feces) at the airport, what do you expect the law enforcers to do? |
Some considerable benefits of growing up in Nigeria is the fact that Home Is Home: you share the system of the country, and this makes you hard in one way or the other, hence you're able to persevere in many challenging condition you find yourself, and these developments automatically make you resistant to depression. |
valacious: First of all, i want to commend your interest, but i must express my concern in your intentions. You don't just have to persuade people into this sensitive matter without first giving some professional advice otherwise, you're going to do more harm than good. Many HIV positive people usually have this idea in their minds, they intend to find HIV positive partners for sexual relationship (even unprotected) until i adviced them of the consequences. Now, let me give you some professional advice : It's worthwhile to understand that the HIV virus comes in different dimensions or forms which occasionally change in shape and behaviours, so one HIV carrier does not necessarily have the same or similar form of the virus with another HIV carrier: therefore, if a HIV positive person has unprotected sexual intercourse with another HIV carrier, it is very, very likely that there will be some virus reactions that would change the original shapes of their viruses into unusual ones which may become resistant to medications and difficult for Doctors to identify; and that would most likely produce a quick result of the dreaded AIDS. An HIV positive person may get any partner of his/her choice, but it's importand s/he, avoid unprotected sex for his/her own good. NOTE: While someone who is HIV positive can live a normal life with treatments, it's however advisable for the person to stay away from unprotected sex the rest of his/her life time to avoid complicated cases. Please, would you like to edit your post, it's not very comprehensive. |
Teejay07:You're the man, wise comment, it is impressive, we need guys like you to enlighten people on this matter. To add to your comment, i wish to state here that it's not her fault that she contacted the HIV, there are many decent and faithful people who contacted the virus from their one and only partners, while there are people who have multiple sex partners and yet, they've managed to avoid the virus so far. So, if you've been lucky to have been escaping it, you have to learn a lesson from those who aren't so lucky and empathise with them with the understanding that these people are victims and not outcasts. Yes, it could have been ANYONE! |
The poster never returned to check her thread, this is a reason to avoid responding to threads created by people who have very few posts: many of such are fake. ANYWAY, THE ARTICLE (BELOW) MIGHT BE OF HELP TO ANYONE WHO FINDS HIM/HERSELF IN THE STATED SITUATION: Vicjustice: |
Tonim:Apart from 419, Prostitution and Drug crimes, Statistics reveal that more than 70% of Nigerians in foreign countries entered the respective countries illegally, and that is a CRIME. There are more undocumented Nigerians abroad than the documented ones, statistics also reveals that 7 in 10 Nigerians abroad do not have the legal rights to work in their respective countries of residence, and let's not forget that there are many other Nigerians who work by impersonations: these white CRIMES . And this is the bitter truth. In every given country, there are more illegal Nigerians than the legals. Now, also take a look at Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Turkey, South American countries and tell me your findings. Please, this is not meant for offence, so i apologise if it's considered offencive to your sensibilities. |
admin2008:But, is this thread enough to warn people? Many people already know what to expect, but yet, they'd take the risk apparently to escape the dire situation in Nigeria: this reminds me of 9/11 terrorists attack in the world trade centre, how a lot of people jumped to their death from the twin tower, those people knew that they were going to die, but they jumped as a last resort to avoid a more painful death ![]() |
Now, how would you blame a country for tightening their immigration rules with Nigerians where-as it's not the same with (some) other countries? How would you blame the visa officers who look for excuses to refuse visas rather than the reasons to issue them? How would you blame the- immigration officers at the port of entry for seeing you holding a Nigerian passport and pulling you aside for special scrutiny? How would you blame a bank manager for calling in the police when they see you come to withdraw good cash with a Nigerian passport? Come to think about these developments, it's astonishing that more than 70% of Nigerians abroad are either criminals or are criminal minded; even some of those who seem to be legitimate have at one time or the other been involved in crimes, and yet, we want to be treated with dignity. The fact remains that until Nigeria establishes herself by proceeding into acceptable standards of morality and justice, and the Nigerians set up, or find their integrity, there will continue to be this sort of humiliations and embarrassment: Afterall, respect is not something we can demand, but something we can earn. *Watch these videos below; and please, do return to drop a line or two of your opinions about Nigerian behaviours abroad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaxN_uIURW8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN4VqNkJ3yU&NR=1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6GN2HMydSk&feature=related |
darren20:It's actually remarkable that a lot of Nigerians are self employed; driving Taxis, Commuter Buses, and even Trains, and you're right to say that most (if not all) of them are well educated. It's a fact that Ireland creates opportunities for skilled workers and give the appropriate documented people the rights to exploit their industries, but that does not make them accept every certificate from every country. So, these well educated Nigerians who find themselves working as Taxi, Bus or Train Drivers are mainly people who studied in Nigeria or other countries which certificates are not acceptable in Ireland: According to the system, they are required to "up-grade" their certificates to Irish approved standard even though they tend to be better in their field of professions than the Irish people. I know of of a guy who used to be an engineer in Nigeria, but he now works with Iarnród Éireann as a train conductor/checker. Like this train conductor, many Nigerians intended to work for some time to establish themselves and their families before they'd then face the challenge of "upgrading" education or courses that would put them in their original field of proffessions, but they eventually get use to what was supposed to be their temporal jobs and before they know it, they are already settled with it: Mind you, many of these guys are fairly paid. So, you're absolutely correct in your observation, but the story is not the same with the Irish (or the EU/EEA) educated Nigerians and also with the Nigerians that converted their Nigerian certificate to the EU/EEA "standard". |
gbolalekan:My pleasure ![]() |
vc:Dear Vc Warm water is very, very good for your health, it warms up your body and we know that a warmed up body is re-vitalised and is more fit for physical activities; but a cold water bath usually makes the body temporally chilled and will need to be warmed up by the body internal heat generating system before it is fit for activities. Depending on the climate or weather, you can get some infections or illnesses from cold water bath. I've seen some people shivering during and after taking bath, do you think this is good for the health? What would you say about those living in temperate regions who possibly have never had cold water bath all their lives, even when it's summer? |
jennykadry:Thanks for your honesty, but i doubt if it will actually be so in the real world. |
You reserve the right to answer as well as you reserve the right not to. So, it's a request, and not a demand hence i asked "would you like to answer" ? |
jennykadry:That's why i said "assuming" and also "for instance". This is a direct question that requires direct answer, not politician style answer ![]() Would you now like to answer ? |
wendymanda:I agree with Wendymanda. jennykadry:@Jenny I understand you don't mind where sex is carried out, me too, i don't mind as long as i'm the participating one. But, unlike you who don't also mind eating on a table where other people just had sex; as for me, i do mind if it's other couples that are involved. OK, assuming you don't mind eating on a table that also serves for sexual intercourse: now, let's say (for instance) you're eating toasted bread, it fell off your hands and drop on this table where you're aware that some couple have just had sex; would you pick up that bread and eat it up? |
kemofash20:While the risks of getting pregnant are higher at certain stages of a woman circle, some women may also be prone to pregnancy at one stage or the other relatively. So, it is very possible for any woman to get pregnant at any time, any day, any period or any season (even during her period): just that the risks may be higher or lower at certain stages. There are many factors responsible for this, but i'm just too lazy to go into details right now. Pardon me ![]() |
Phinie: First of all, i must express my disappointment at the response you guys gave to the quote above, none of you could investigate and find out why she needs an HIV partner for a relationship and then give advice, rather you're so fast in saying "wishing you all the best". Adexatom:Are you a consultant or something like that? Before giving recommendation, how much understanding do you have on this matter? Mind you, it's not a medical condition but rather a minor discomfort and it's not supposed to cost him a Dime or Penny, not even a Kobo, all he needs is just a little adjustment which is not supposed to cost him any money . |

babalase:No, he's not telling you not to re-apply, but rather giving you an insight of what would most probably be the out-come of a subsequent application; and that is: Refusal The situation of your case is what Londoncool has just narated, so, you may reapply if you have that much money to give away to the Embassy. Your boss could have done it for you initially; but now, your best bet is to better your financial situation before re-applying. I know the money you have in your account is considerably not bad, but believe me, it's just about 1.300 UK Pounds which is kind of ridiculous in the eyes of these well-paid ECOs, and adding more money to make it 600.000 Naira would amount to about 2580 UK Pounds and that would make no difference, rather, you'd be accused of money lodgment which is classified as fraudulent or deceitful attempt to obtain the UK visa and that will automatically result in express refusal. Except you're being sponsored by your company, otherwise, i advice you to forget about it at least, for now: remember, things are easier when done orderly. |
